Clan Vask
Ten Minutes Before the Invasion of Clan Black Axe
All of the most prestigious warriors and leaders were gathered in celebration of House Vizsla’s recent victory on Mandalore.
With the aid of their troops and resources, they had inflicted severe damage on one of the cities controlled by the pacifist faction.
“Brothers, today we have shattered the peace those weaklings worship and preach. Today we celebrate our ancestral traditions, the very traditions they seek to abandon,” said the leader of Clan Vask, filled with excitement.
“Long live House Vizsla! Long live Clan Vask!” shouted everyone present.
“Once we overthrow Duke Kryze, all of Mandalore will belong to House Vizsla, and we will rule Concordia. Only Clan Vask will remain. We will destroy all those small clans that hide in the shadows and refused to aid us in our honorable struggle.”
“Celebrate! Soon everything will be ours… celebrate! Hahaha!”
Everyone began eating and drinking.
The Twi’lek dancers started performing and serving the guests.
The warriors shamelessly groped them while they lowered their heads, hiding their helplessness.
The last one who had tried to rebel years ago had become food for worms.
Everyone was laughing and enjoying themselves while their leader reveled between the embraces of two women.
“Leader! Something terrible has happened at Clan Black Axe!”
An exhausted warrior burst through the doors, startling everyone enjoying the festivities.
“Silence!”
“Tell me exactly what happened. Leave out no details.”
“Leader, the Red Moon Clan, Black Flame Clan, and Clan Fen’ruus have united and launched a large-scale attack against Clan Black Axe. Their leader has just sent a distress signal. An elite team is already moving toward them. They are surrounded and don’t know how long they can withstand the siege. They are requesting our support.”
The entire hall fell silent.
None of them had ever imagined that those minor clans—those insects they looked down upon—would dare to rebel and threaten their future plans.
Although Clan Black Axe was considered weaker, its factories supplied a significant amount of military and logistical resources.
“Idiots! Why are you standing there?! Prepare your weapons! Ready the Kom’rk-class fighters and every troop transport available!”
“We will wipe out those insects once and for all for daring to crawl out of their holes!”
“Today they will learn the fury of Clan Vask!”
Everyone immediately snapped out of their shock.
Those who had Twi’lek dancers sitting on their laps shoved them aside without a second thought.
The women silently retreated into the shadows.
“Leader, we currently have five Kom’rk-class fighters and twenty troop transports capable of carrying twenty-five and one hundred warriors respectively,” one of the captains reported.
“Good. Prepare every ship.”
“We’ll destroy all those clans in a single strike.”
“I want my best warriors.”
“Today we shall bathe in their blood.”
“But Leader, if we do that, the city will be left undefended. There will be no one to command it if all the captains and ships leave—”
“Do you think I will lose?” the leader interrupted angrily.
He stepped forward.
“Look at me.”
“Do you truly believe those weaklings can defeat me?”
“I… I apologize for my words. I will follow your orders, my lord,” the captain replied, trembling with fear.
Clan Black Axe – Outer Wall
I was discussing the arrival of Clan Vask and our defensive preparations with my aunt.
“Aunt, the anti-aircraft defenses we brought have already been deployed alongside the ones we captured. Everything is ready for Clan Vask’s assault.”
“Good, nephew. You did well.”
“I heard you defeated their leader in a rather brutal fashion.”
“I did. I had to avenge my fallen brothers.”
She nodded before speaking in a serious tone.
“I only want you to remember one thing, Azmar.”
“Just because you killed him easily doesn’t mean you’re invincible.”
“Perhaps you were fortunate. Perhaps he was careless.”
“But it won’t always be that way.”
“So remain calm.”
“Do not lose control of your emotions.”
“Thank you, Aunt. I’ll keep that in mind.”
“Commander, several fighter craft and transport ships are approaching,” Efi reported urgently.
“To your positions, warriors! Prepare for battle!”
“Commander, there are a lot of troops. My sensors indicate that more than two thousand soldiers have landed. In addition, the fighter craft are heading toward the walls and preparing a bombardment. They’ve realized we’ve taken the city,” Efi said, sounding worried.
“Stay calm. All cannons are in position.”
“Prepare the surprise.”
“They won’t escape so easily.”
“And tell our two pilots to stay alert and destroy them when they attempt to flee. I don’t want them harassing us again.”
“Yes, Commander. Your orders have already been relayed.”
“Good. Tell the rest of the warriors to hold their positions. This battle will be more difficult, and I don’t want to lose our people foolishly.”
“Aunt, I’ll lead the warriors with wolf companions and flank their army. We can move more freely and strike them hard,” I said firmly.
“No, Azmar.”
“We don’t know who is commanding their army. Besides, we only have thirty wolf riders left, and we’ve already lost nearly thirty percent of them during the initial assault.”
“If you attack with such a small force, you won’t inflict significant damage.”
“You’ll only die in vain.”
“But Aunt, you know how strong Ragnar is—”
“Understand this: our enemy is bold.”
“I will not risk the future of the clan because of your recklessness.”
“Fine… I’ll follow your orders,” I replied, frustrated.
At that moment, explosions began to echo across the battlefield.
The enemy fighters had begun their bombardment.
“Efi, tell the gunners to wait.”
“Let their fighters move deeper into the city.”
“I don’t want them escaping the trap we’ve built.”
“Yes, Commander. They’re awaiting your signal.”
Five Kom’rk-class fighters continued their assault relentlessly.
They had already destroyed the central gate and the side entrances.
Now they were heading toward the largest concentration of our warriors.
“Now, Efi… fire.”
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
The enemy never saw it coming.
They didn’t know who had attacked them.
Or from where.
Three fighters were destroyed instantly.
The remaining two reacted quickly and attempted to retreat…
But it was already too late.
Our own fighters intercepted and shot them down in a flawless maneuver.
They had lost their air superiority because of their own arrogance.
Enemy Command Post
“Damn it! Damn it!”
“Useless fools!”
“How could they fall into such an obvious trap?”
“Didn’t I tell them to attack only the walls?”
“My lord, since the enemy never returned fire, they assumed there were no defensive weapons—”
A sharp blow echoed through the room.
A head rolled across the floor.
Decapitated.
“Worthless trash…”
“Take that corpse away.”
“Prepare the army.”
“We march immediately.”
Outer Wall
“Commander, the enemy is advancing. They’ve split into two groups. The larger force is attacking head-on while the second is moving toward the eastern gate. They are bringing artillery and heavy tanks,” Efi reported.
“Have Clan Black Flame defend the eastern gate.”
“And keep Clan Red Moon ready as support.”
The ground began to tremble.
Dust filled the air.
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
Enemy artillery bombarded the city without pause.
The tanks advanced relentlessly.
Laser bolts barely scratched their armor.
“Warriors!”
“Prepare yourselves!”
“Close-quarters combat!”
“Destroy those tanks!”
The enemy poured through the breaches.
“Kill them!”
Ragnar was the first to charge.
The battlefield descended into chaos.
I ran forward, dodging blaster fire.
I reached a tank.
Leaping onto its hull, I infused my spear with the Force.
Then I drove it straight through the armor.
Destroyed.
Another.
And another.
Three tanks.
I was exhausted.
But I kept moving.
“Azmar… can you hear me?”
“Yes. What’s wrong?”
“It was all a distraction.”
“The remnants of Clan Black Axe have joined the battle.”
“They’ve seized the eastern and western gates.”
“They’re trying to encircle us.”
“Damn it…”
“Go to the eastern gate with the Dark Wolf Guardians.”
“Destroy the tanks.”
“Understood.”
“May destiny be.”
“May destiny be.”
