“Job change requirements for Inverted God—[Caster: Magic Type] level, [Caster: Faith Type] level, and [Caster: Spirit Type] level must all reach Lv30?
And a total of nine max-level classes are required?”
Makoto did the math in his head.
Breaking it down, it meant he needed to reach level thirty in each system’s class levels, which required three maxed-out classes for each.
Classes in YGGDRASIL are divided into Base Classes, Intermediate Classes, High-tier Classes, and Special Classes.
The level cap for Base Classes is Lv15, Intermediate Classes is Lv10, and High-tier or Special Classes is Lv5.
Generally, Intermediate and High-tier classes require a certain level in a Base Class.
Therefore, to meet the requirements for [Inverted God], one would need three Lv15 Base Classes, three Lv10 Intermediate Classes, and three Lv5 High-tier Classes across the three systems.
The main issue is that levels for [Caster: Magic Type], [Caster: Faith Type], and [Caster: Spirit Type] are not interchangeable!
The result of such a build is that you could at most learn 7th-tier magic from one system, while the other two would be limited to 5th-tier magic.
If an average player built their character this way, they would have zero combat power.
It’s a pure garbage build, the kind where a Lv100 could lose to a Lv70.
In the original story, Ainz Ooal Gown’s build was already quite niche, but this build is a hundred times more restrictive than his!
Simply maxing out one of the systems would be dozens of times stronger.
For example, a Magic Type isn’t unable to use Faith and Spirit skills; they’re just less powerful.
If someone really wanted to be an all-rounder, they’d be better off playing a Heteromorphic race like [Doppelganger], which can copy up to forty-five different class builds and still maintain decent strength.
“However, though rare, YGGDRASIL does have a bit of balance.
If the [Inverted God] class build exists, there’s a high probability its strength can compensate for the previous gaps.”
It’s like Ainz Ooal Gown’s special class [Eclipse].
Aside from [The Goal of All Life is Death], the special skill [Dark Wisdom] allows a Magic Caster to learn new magic from other players’ skills, continuously increasing their repertoire.
The fact that his MP is 1.5 times that of a normal Magic Caster is likely related to this class as well.
Thinking this, Makoto began to check the special skills of the Inverted God.
“Two passives and one Super-Tier magic, huh…”
First was the passive skill [Trinity].
The levels of the three magic class systems can stack, and skills from any system will not be weakened.
Makoto did a rough conversion.
First, High-tier class bonuses are inevitably stronger than Base and Intermediate ones, and a powerful build usually only takes one or two Base Classes.
Meaning, calculated this way, the strength was still a bit lacking.
But [Trinity] had another effect: it allowed the player to divide their HP and MP into three portions.
While the total amount wouldn’t change, once the HP was split into three, it was equivalent to having three health bars like a boss.
No matter how strong an enemy’s single attack was, it could only empty one bar.
Simply put, it was like having two extra lives!
Coupled with the fact that every health bar loss cleared all negative status effects, it was a perfect survival skill!
As for the MP split, Makoto immediately thought of the [World Calamity] class.
As the strongest wide-area annihilation magic in YGGDRASIL, [Great Calamity] requires sixty percent of a player’s MP to cast.
Wouldn’t that mean he could cast [Great Calamity] three times in a short period?
HP could also seemingly be used for skills that consume a percentage of health!
Although there was a class penalty where HP and MP recovery was three times slower, it was still an incredibly powerful skill!
He just happened to be one special class away from max level, and the condition to become a [World Calamity] was to kill another [World Calamity] player.
That could easily be solved with money!
He didn’t believe that every player with the [World Calamity] class had either died or was just waiting for the servers to close!
After reading this skill, Makoto had already roughly constructed his class build in his mind.
However, for this build to work, the prerequisite was that he had to reach at least Lv91 within three days.
“I can only say it’s a skill within expectations, trading some raw power for versatility.
Luckily, the special skills are decent.”
“Haha, average, just average.
There’s still one skill I haven’t seen; maybe it’s a garbage, sub-par skill, hahaha—”
Though he wanted to level up immediately, sharpening the axe doesn’t delay the woodcutting.
It wouldn’t take much time anyway, so he kept critiquing while forcing himself to read on.
The second skill was [Lord of Myriad Armies].
Once per day, you can enhance Angel-type summoning skills.
When enemies are nearby, a check is performed on their level and Holy Attribute resistance (the probability is related to the Holy resistances of both parties and the level difference).
If the check fails, the monster is summoned from another world.
If the check passes, the enemy is directly converted into an Angel and becomes a follower.
It significantly increases the duration and power of Angel-type creations.
While these creations exist, each one grants a small boost to your stats.
Makoto controlled his character to stroke his chin.
“So, it’s a specialization in summoning?
Combined with skills and equipment that reduce Holy resistance, there’s a chance to instant-kill players of the same or even higher level.”
“Pity the probability isn’t 100%.
My assessment is that it’s not as good as ‘The Goal of All Life is Death’.”
“However, if the converted Angel-type monsters can exist permanently like Ainz’s undead creation, combined with enhancement buffs…
it seems quite promising.”
Having finished the two passive skills, Makoto was already very satisfied with the power level, yet he still looked toward the last skill with hope.
“Only one Super-Tier magic left.
Let’s see…”
[Wrath of the Salt King]
Drawn from the biblical legend where God destroyed the sinful city of ‘Sodom’ with brimstone and fire from heaven.
Deals massive area-of-effect Fire and Holy damage and applies the [Judgment of Salt] effect.
The sinful shall be turned into pillars of salt, the effect being relative to the enemy’s Karma value—
A super-version of the 9th-tier magic [Nuclear Blast] plus a ‘The Goal of All Life is Death’ effect specifically for evil?
“What do you mean’specialized damage is king’?
I feel like if I duel Ainz after maxing out, I might beat him senseless.
If I ambush him, there’s a high chance I’d send him straight to resurrection!”
Unfortunately…
Makoto didn’t plan on going head-to-head with Ainz.
To be honest, Ainz’s Nazarick was just too broken.
The feat of blocking 500 max-level players plus a thousand high-level mercenary monsters was simply legendary!
If killing him meant he couldn’t be resurrected, it might be fine.
Given that NPCs can’t use guild resources very well, there was a chance to trap them inside the Great Tomb by camping the entrance.
But if he could be resurrected, then based on the current situation, he would likely be hunted down until he could no longer resurrect himself.
The risk was too great; a fight to the death would only result in mutual destruction.
Currently, Makoto only wanted to strengthen himself as much as possible.
Knowing how much the other party cared about NPCs, he could use negotiation (threats) to reach a state of peaceful coexistence.
After all, before entering Nazarick, he could only be considered to be in the ‘Little Friend’ realm!
