They got outside and noticed that there was a young man on dark glasses in a neat brown suit. Dressed too cooperate.
"Who the fuck is he?" someone muttered as soon as he came out.
"Yah. He is dressed like and an old fashioned hungry bachelor." another blunt comment flew in.
More gossips began to flow around and most of them arguing whether he was a Guide or not.
Zakar didn’t speak. He just noticed everyone. Noticed their different characters. Definitely if he had to fake a guess, he was sure he was not a Guide. Probably had to be another personnel sent to monitor their activities.
"Now shut your damn mouth up!!’’ the man exclaimed in pure repulsion.
Something about him caused everyone to keep quiet. His arua was high despite the fact that he looked... like nothing out of a superficial bodyguard.
The vicinity became silent like a grave yard and you could hear the sound of ants running about the sand.
Then someone began to chuckle and his chuckling was so disgusting. Everyone turned to stare at him. Then it grew into a heavy giggle. And then an outburst of crazy laughter.
The man’s brow twisted angrily. Anger could be seen written over his face and the next second made everyone gasp.
He clenched his fists and black tendrils grew out from no where to clutch tightly to the neck of the player. It began to strangle him.
Everyone gasped at the action. Wasthis a Guide or a killer?
"He’s gonna die."
But the man didn’t care. He focused on the boy and clenched it tightly. Everyone gasped in shock.
The tendrils became larger and coiled up around the face of the boy and in an instant, they pulled in a greater force than expected causing the head of the boy to feel the pressure. His head splattered open and blood pumped out like a water fountain from his severed neck.
"What the..."
"Fuck. He’s dead."
The man grinned. He was possibly enjoying his act here. The players seemed to be too nervous to speak again but he could hear their murmurs.
He paused for a while before speaking.
"Beautiful ladies and gentlemen. Our players. You are welcome to Waste Land. I am going to be your disciplinarian. Don’t worry, you will grow to love me." The man said and winked.
"What? Disciplinarian?"
"Why the hell do we need one?"
Zakar studied the man. He seemed to be well fit for the job. Someone without hearts. Someone who could kill a player because he laughed. Damn! That was wickedness and such kind of disciplinarian would relay a frightening personality in them.
A great quantum of dispise grew in him. Hatred and anger became a good cocktail in him.
"Sir, please if I may speak, why do we need a disciplinarian?" Myia asked boldly. Everyone stared at her courage. Even the man was marvelled.
"The reason is simple. We have observed that in every set of players that arrive here, there is an atom of bullying. The strong oppress the weak.
I’m here to punish and act as a parent. To put it short. The Guides will not be close by any more to help you. Rather I will be the one to give the orders."
Myia stared at him for a while. Zakar prayed silently that she didn’t say anything stupid. That she kept quiet for some minutes. But his prayer faded into the air when she spoke again.
"Sir, what’s your name?"
Everyone shifted instantly and carefully so not to get caught up in his angry tendrils.
"My name is General Lemon. Your disciplinarian. Now it is time for breakfast."
He began to leave. Everyone stared at him in shock before they followed him but were not directly beside him. They gave a good social distancing.
Zakar stared at him. His mind racing over his response to Myia’s question. It didn’t fit in. Bullying was normal and why would the Guides be concerned about them. New chapters come out on novelping dot com first.
Lector had spoken of the weak as useless. He had stated that the weak will not survive. As such, even if one was to kill another, he would simply take it as a weak dead.
The female Guide also dispised the weak. And he was sure it was the same for Terry.
If they all dispised the weak, why would they send a disciplinarian to watch over them. Was it because they cared for the lives? No. The disciplinarian himself had just killed a player because of a simple laughter.
There was more to this than it seemed. There was a more urgent reason for his appointment here than they knew.
Whatever it was, it seemed like they were not supposed to know of it but he was not going to let it pass like that. He would dig out the reason and see to it that there is no foul play.
"Stop thinking and get going." Myia shot at him and he awoke to reality.
"Sorry."
She chuckled. The same chuckle that had costed the life of a player. Goose pimples rushed across his body.
He turned backwards to see the body of the player but what he saw sent sparks over his body.
The player’s body was no longer there. Rather a huge black stone was floating in the air. Zakar gasped in shock.
"What the..." he muttered.
’Am I the only one seeing this?! Or am just hallucinating?’ He thought to himself and then he saw the orb vanish away.
"Get going!!! What the fuck are you staring at!!!" General Lemon retorted in anger. Zakar turned back to him and recomposed himself.
He was hallucinating. But was it?
