Back to the story: when Theresa got serious, she was thoroughly dependable—she was, after all, supremely confident in her own strength, and before absolute power, every scheme and trick was a paper tiger.

“Isn’t this simple now?

All we have to do is get into the lab, rescue Mei, and carve a bloody path back out!”Full novel: Streaming Honkai in Honkai, Mei is in World Serpent! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“So let’s just tear all of ME Corp down!”

No Exams Thanks: Himeko, Theresa—so cool!

After defeating the mecha Cocolia unleashed, they faced Dark Bronya once more.

Dark Bronya was invincibly strong—but in front of the Queen she was no match; this wasn’t launch week, after all.

“Bronya, my good daughter—annihilate them!”

Kitty Snuggles: Ugh, this wicked woman makes me so mad—how can a person be this evil!

Can Kiana please just beat her up.

Wants to Buy an Island: Controlling her own daughter—what an irresponsible woman.

Miss Pink Elf♪: Poor little Bronya.

What she needs right now is surely the embrace of a beautiful, elegant onee-san to wake her up.

In the story, watching Bronya draw closer and closer, her face changed dramatically.

She didn’t want to raise a hand against Bronya—Bronya was always going against her, always needling her, but that was the kind of thing you only did because you were close.

How could she, Kiana Kaslana, ever strike her own dear friend?

“Bronya—no, snap out of it, quick!”

And the audience, watching this play out, felt their hearts climb into their throats.

They watched, tense—after all, former best friends being forced to cross blades, what an agonizing thing that is.

But then—Bronya didn’t obey Cocolia’s order to attack Kiana.

Instead, her face perfectly calm, she said.

“When Bronya was little, both her parents died.”

“In Bronya’s heart, Cocolia was like a mother.

But then Bronya met Mei-nee-san, and Mei-nee-san was very good to Bronya.”

At this, into Bronya’s mind floated the days of surviving in Changkong City alongside Mei and Kiana, the days of going to school with Mei and Kiana at St.

Freya—all those beautiful, warm memories welling up to fill her heart.

“So Bronya will not fight.”

“Kiana, hurry—take Mei-nee-san!”

“Bronya has already burned out her biochip.”

Hearing Bronya, Kiana’s blue eyes went wide with shock.

“Burned out the chip—are you joking?

The biochip was implanted in your brain.

If you burn it out, are you saying you want to kill yourself?”

Cocolia’s urgent, disbelieving voice reached Bronya’s ears.

Bronya glanced back at Mei on the operating table, looked at her unconscious face, and said in a calm tone.

“Compared to my own life, Mei-nee-san’s life matters more.”

“Bronya will no longer accept any order that would harm Mei-nee-san!”

Her calm tone firmed by degrees.

Having spoken those words, Bronya—her emotion system gone now—gazed gently at Mei, a warm smile rising at the corner of her mouth, and then slowly closed her eyes.

“Goodbye, Mei-nee-san.”

“Kiana, I leave Mei-nee-san to you.”

Watching this play out, Xiyue knew the chat had to be exploding.

But she also knew there was still more pain coming in the story ahead, so she gritted her teeth, refused to look at the chat, and kept streaming.

The story continued: Bronya burned out the chip and collapsed to the floor, while Kiana saved Mei.

After waking Mei and telling her everything that had happened, just as Mei was sinking into self-blame, Theresa told them Schicksal had a way to save Bronya, and told them not to fret.

Then the long-vanished Wendy joined Kiana’s group comms.

Wendy wanted to see Bronya, but sadly couldn’t, and so she offered her apology to Theresa.

By now Wendy had reverted to her timid-girl self, speaking to everyone in soft, gentle tones.

“I already know the truth.

I hope you’ll tell her—I already know the truth.”

“I… won’t hate her.

Never.

But… there probably won’t be a chance to meet again after this.”

With that, Wendy cut the comms.

Then Cocolia said something utterly cruel to them all—after all, the early-days Cocolia really was…

Xiyue rather didn’t want to spit out that particular curse word.

“Didn’t I say so? Visit g.com for the full chapter.

I’ve already killed the Fourth Herrscher.”

“I’ve already extracted the Honkai-energy crystal from her body—that very Gem of Desire.”

Kiana was beyond words with fury, and she rounded on Cocolia.

“You lunatic!

For an energy source, you killed an innocent person!”

But to Kiana’s rage, Cocolia let out a snort of laughter and went on taunting.

“Oh my—taking revenge on Schicksal was her own wish to begin with; I merely fulfilled it on her behalf.

And not only that—I let her, at the very end, get to say a few words to her beloved Bronya-nee-san.

A pity those words can’t be delivered, it seems.”

And then, just as Kiana lost control and charged at Cocolia, a colossal mecha nearly a hundred meters tall appeared before them all.

“Farewell.

You all just keep my new masterpiece company and have a little fun.

Oh, right—her name is MSR-7 Wotan.”

“I do hope you can help me gather enough experimental data.

Well then—if you’d be so kind~”

Amid Cocolia’s mocking words, the giant mecha charged at Kiana, and the boss stage began.

Since this was, after all, a game, she controlled the Queen and unloaded everything on Wotan, and Wotan toppled.

Accompanying Wotan’s CG cutscene, Theresa’s narration rose.

“After a grueling battle, Anti-Entropy’s giant robot Wotan was destroyed, and Kiana and the others escaped ME Corp HQ.

Though they succeeded in rescuing Mei, they lost Wendy.”

“Bronya, too, fell into a coma—one that even St.

Freya’s technology cannot cure.”

“To save Bronya, Theresa resolved to head for St.

Freya Academy’s Central Church, where Schicksal’s highest biotechnology lies hidden.”

“That technology is kept secret even from the principal of St.

Freya Academy.”

End of Chapter Four.

Xiyue stole a glance at the chat—and at the sight of the dense, frantically scrolling wall of comments, she panicked a little, hurriedly looked away, and forced out.

“All right, that’s it for today’s stream.”

“See you all next stream.”

“Your host’s heading out first—any questions, we’ll save them for next time.”

Then she ended the stream at the speed of light, snatched up the phone displaying the chat, and switched it off.

As long as she got off the air fast enough, she’d never have to see what the chat was saying about her~

I’ve been a bit busy the past couple of days, so I wasn’t able to post any chapters.

Don’t worry, I’ll make up for those missed chapters soon!
