Comments in the live stream began attacking Yan Jiaojiao, with even those who had previously praised her beauty now turning against her.

Completely unaware of all this, Yan Jiaojiao was still trying to communicate with Ling Yi. She straightened his small, thin body, held his head, and looked directly into his eyes.

“Listen up, kid. From now on, we’re going to be spending time together.”Full novel: Strongly Pampered! After Losing My Memory, the Little Schemer Just Wants to Run Away — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

She pointed at herself. “My name is Yan Jiaojiao. You can call me ‘sister’ or ‘fairy sister’—I don’t mind either.”

“Got it?”

Ling Yi remained silent, staring at her without any reaction. Yan Jiaojiao wasn’t annoyed and tried her best to put on a kind, friendly smile. “You didn’t hear me, did you? Let me repeat it.”

“My name is Yan Jiaojiao. I’m female. You can call me ‘sister’ or ‘fairy sister’—I don’t mind either.”

“…”

And so, Yan Jiaojiao persistently repeated this over twenty times. Ling Yi grew somewhat impatient and finally mumbled, “Sister.”

Yan Jiaojiao released him, her excited expression as if an iron tree had blossomed. She lifted her chin proudly—she knew it! No matter how tough someone was, they couldn’t withstand her persistence!

The audience watching the live stream witnessed the entire scene, seeing firsthand how Yan Jiaojiao transformed a child’s expression from indifferent to disdainful.

“Hahaha, I have to admit, Yan Jiaojiao’s method really works. I take back what I said earlier.”

“Fairy sister, sister fairy… I’m almost dizzy from her chanting.”

“Her proud little expression is so cute.”

“So chanting really does work. I’ll try it on my kid someday.”

“Did anyone see Ling Yi’s eye roll? I’m dying of laughter. Turns out even aloofness can’t withstand a chatterbox.”

“Yan Jiaojiao isn’t a chatterbox—she’s a repeater!”

“I’m looking forward to what happens next. Could Yan Jiaojiao and Ling Yi be in a love-hate relationship?”

“Sis, that’s a dangerous thought. Ling Yi is the aloof type—he’s not going to get rowdy with Yan Jiaojiao.”

“Ling Yi’s eyelashes are longer than my lifespan, and with that handsome little face, he’s going to break so many girls’ hearts when he grows up.”

“His serious expression has a contrasting charm. He already gives off CEO vibes at such a young age. I feel like his eyes are saying, ‘Woman, you’re very noisy.’”

“Sis, don’t start—I’m beginning to imagine things. I’m so guilty…”

“Hugging Ling Yi, ignoring Yan the Repeater.”

“…”

Seeing that everyone had settled in, the director announced the first task. “Since today is the first day, the program team has thoughtfully prepared ingredients in the fridge. Please start preparing lunch for the children.”

Yan Jiaojiao patted her flat stomach. She hadn’t expected to start cooking so soon. Cooking?

She… didn’t really know how.

Frowning, she looked at the tiny Ling Yi. If she didn’t cook… She shook her head vigorously. No, there was nothing Yan Jiaojiao was afraid of!

Since there were only two kitchens and each person only needed to prepare food for themselves and their child, they decided to prepare the ingredients first and take turns cooking.

Liu Jinzi had practiced cooking in advance after receiving the program invitation, so she was brimming with confidence. She glanced at the flustered Yan Jiaojiao and snorted softly.

Yan Jiaojiao spent half a minute waving the kitchen knife around before making her first cut. Seeing how nervous she was, Zhong Qing asked worriedly, “Jiaojiao, do you need help?”

“Really?”

Yan Jiaojiao’s eyes immediately lit up.Zhong Qing found her adorable. “Why don’t you join our family for this meal? A few more people won’t make much difference anyway.”

“Sure, sure! I’ll help wash the vegetables.”

Seeing this, Liu Jinzi remarked, “Isn’t this against the rules?”

Yan Jiaojiao turned on the faucet and glanced at her. “The production team hasn’t said anything. Do you have a problem with it?”

Liu Jinzi flustered and explained, “That’s not what I meant.”

“Oh.”

An hour later, the children were brought to the dining table, bibs tied around their necks. The two little girls, Nana and Mia, had already gotten along quite well, holding hands as they sat together.

Both girls seemed to have been quite pampered at home. Even at five years old, they still needed to be fed. Xu Mo and Liu Jinzi had no choice but to feed them first.

One refused to eat this, the other refused to eat that—Liu Jinzi almost lost her composure.

Meanwhile, on the boys’ side, Xiao Hu and Xiao Hu were gobbling up braised pork, one mouthful after another, their lips glistening with oil.

Lin Qingfeng continued serving them. “Xiao Hu, Xiao Hu, is the braised pork tasty?”

“Yummy!”

They were well-behaved and not picky eaters, eating whatever was given to them—no wonder they were so chubby.

Yan Jiaojiao sighed as she watched Ling Yi beside her taking small bites of rice. “Why are you only eating rice?”

The meat she had served him remained untouched. Was this child planning to become a monk in the future?

Ling Yi silently finished his rice. When Yan Jiaojiao tried to serve him more, he stopped her.

“Are you full?”

Ling Yi nodded in response.

Unable to persuade him, Yan Jiaojiao simply let him go play on the sofa.

She watched as Ling Yi lowered his head to play with his Rubik’s Cube alone. A faint light seemed to envelop him, and he sat there quietly like a doll—small, solitary, and observed by others.

Feeling disheartened, she poked at her rice. This child was far too withdrawn.

After the meal, Yan Jiaojiao volunteered to wash the dishes. Her intentions were good, but as everyone sat on the sofa watching TV, a series of clattering noises from the kitchen completely drowned out the television.

Concerned, Zhong Qing walked into the kitchen to check. “Do you need any help?”

Yan Jiaojiao was holding a stack of freshly washed dishes. Seeing someone enter, she shook her head. “No… need.”

Her voice trembled on the last word as her feet slipped, nearly causing her to lose her balance. She let out a long sigh of relief upon seeing the dishes intact. Clearly, fairies weren’t cut out for manual labor.

Ahhhh… she wanted to go home!

At the same time, Yan Jiaojiao mentally added another mark against Xie Chuanyan. If it weren’t for trying to avoid him, would she have come here to suffer like this?

That wretched man!

In his office, Xie Chuanyan sneezed. Team Leader Liu, who had come to report, asked worriedly, “President Xie, are you alright?”

Xie Chuanyan shook his head indifferently. “Continue.”

After the work report concluded, Assistant Hao walked in. “President Xie, everything is normal on Miss Yan’s end.”

“Did she eat?”

“She did, but… not much.”

As soon as Assistant Hao finished speaking, a cold gaze fell upon him. He hurriedly wiped his sweat. “I’ll arrange for someone to send food to Miss Yan right away.”

Xie Chuanyan curled his lips slightly. “Mm.”

Just as Assistant Hao was about to leave, he heard Xie Chuanyan’s voice again. “Remember to ask her if she misses me.”

He turned back in surprise, but Xie Chuanyan’s expression remained indifferent, as if he had misheard. Only after receiving a warning glance did Assistant Hao hastily retreat.

He never expected Xie Chuanyan to have such a clingy side. His tone clearly indicated he missed Yan Jiaojiao, yet he insisted on having the message relayed.

They had only been apart for a few hours, yet he seemed afraid Yan Jiaojiao would run away.He felt that Xie Chuanyan’s request to deliver the meal was clearly just a pretext; the real intention was to make his presence known.

Yan Jiaojiao was watching TV on the sofa with the others. The other children had already gone upstairs for their afternoon nap, with only Ling Yi still sitting beside her.

Just as she was about to take him upstairs, someone from the production crew came and called her out.
