Lu Fei had just come out of the shower, wearing only loose pants. His toned muscles were fully visible. ‘Wait… this dog man has such a good body?!’

Once Xu Yan was free, she dashed under the sofa, her face burning with embarrassment. The vet who dewormed her had been a woman, so she’d never been touched by a man like this before. It was both humiliating and infuriating.

Xu Yan hissed from under the sofa, seething.

But Lu Fei ignored her protests. He carried her to his room and lay down on the bed.
Xu Yan attempted to run, but Lu Fei gently pressed on her stomach, keeping her in place. She opened her mouth to bite him, but Lu Fei used his index finger to scratch under her chin.
Hiss… It felt unexpectedly nice.
Though she was still getting used to her cat’s body, she couldn’t deny the strange comfort she felt when her chin was scratched, like a soothing massage.
But she refused to give in. ‘I won’t sleep with this dog man!’

“We’re going to be living together, so you might as well be friendly,” he murmured. “I’ll always take care of you. You’re family now.”
Xu Yan’s heart skipped a beat at his words. She felt an unexpected shyness wash over her. Still, she continued to resist.
However, Lu Fei didn’t let go. After about 10 minutes of back-and-forth, Xu Yan gave up struggling. Lu Fei pulled out his phone, responded to a few messages, and then shifted, pulling her into his arms.
“Alright, good night, Little Flower.” He whispered.

She waited three minutes, cautiously testing her movements. But Lu Fei stirred slightly and pressed his fingers against her chin.
“Don’t make trouble.” He muttered in a low voice.
Xu Yan rolled her eyes. ‘Could you fall asleep already? Why are you taking so long? Is there something wrong with your kidneys? ‘
She continued to silently complain, plotting her escape. ‘Just ten more minutes, then I’ll slip away.’
But ten minutes later, her breathing had steadied. Without realizing it, she had fallen asleep.
