"The vial I gave you was a temporary treatment, it will last three days. Till then, I will prepare for the next treatment."

Kaine spoke as he looked at the three.

Serathiel tilted her head.

"Mhm."

Kaine nodded as he looked at her.

"...so soon?"

"The faster you three recover, the better it is for me.

So I intend to give my all."

The Dragon nodded at that.

Kaine also noticed that her hand was a little misplaced because of all her movement earlier, so he moved closer and adjusted the blanket beneath her, making sure she was comfortable.

Lysara stared at him in silence.

Kaine then stepped back to the centre of the room, giving them their space, then, he started thinking.

Medicine.

That was the next thing he needed.

He had already seen Serathiel’s first Restoration Recipe.

The system already gave him the Draconic Foundation Catalyst, he needed to get Bloodleaf Extract, Marrowroot Powder, and Purified Water himself.

He then checked what other materials he needed to make medicines for Lysara and Nerys and prepared the list of items he needed. Fortunately, all the items the system mentioned were available in the Valcrest Estate, those that weren’t were provided by the system itself.

All Kaine needed to do now was to fetch the materials and prepare the medicine.

He turned towards the door, ready to leave, but before he took another step, his gaze returned to his summons.

The Protection Period was over.

Till now, he was here with them, so even if someone entered the room, he would know but now that he needed to leave...

He did not trust anyone in this House enough to leave his summons alone, not when they could now be hurt or... worse.

He needed to place them somewhere safe and that was when another System reward came to his mind.

Recovery Sanctuary.

The moment he thought about it, a screen appeared.

[Ding!]

[Recovery Sanctuary.]

[Your Companion Space has been modified into an environment designed to support the recovery of registered companions. Basic recovery beds and condition-maintenance functions have been installed. Medicines and treatment materials may be stored within the Sanctuary and retrieved through the System.]

[Additional facilities and improvements may be purchased with Recovery Points.]

[Note: Host cannot enter the Sanctuary.]

...

In this world, every Summoner possessed a Companion Space connected to their Soul Throne. It was where Companions stayed when they were not physically summoned into the world.

However, the System changed Kaine’s Companion Space into a Recovery Sanctuary, not that he minded, if anything, an environment designed to support his summons’ recovery might be much better than an ordinary Companion Space.

Not to mention, the Recovery Sanctuary also allowed him to store medicines and treatment materials inside, a normal Companion Space couldn’t contain anything other than the Companion.

Kaine turned towards his three summons.

"I can’t leave you three alone here, so I’ll be sending you somewhere else."

Those words instantly made the summons panic.

"Y-You can’t send us back! You said you won’t!"

Serathiel snapped.

"I am not sending you back."

Kaine shook his head.

"Then where..."

"To my Companion Space. It’s a space specifically designed to support your recovery and no one will be able to hurt you inside."

He tried to ease them.

The women still seemed tense.

"And don’t worry, you’ll all be together. I am not separating any of you, okay?"

Those words did ease them a little but they were still nervous.

"I am moving you now, okay?"

He spoke and even though they were nervous, they nodded slowly.

Kaine then focused on the Recovery Sanctuary, by now, he had gotten the hang of the System, he could either try to touch the messages or just think about it and the system would activate.

[Transfer all registered companions to Recovery Sanctuary?]

[Y/N]

And just as he thought, the instant he thought about placing them inside, the screen appeared.

’Yes.’

Kaine nodded in his head. A faint light appeared beneath the two beds and as the light rose, all three women disappeared.

The room became silent.

Kaine stared at the empty beds as a new panel appeared in front of him.

[Recovery Sanctuary.]

[Occupancy: 3/3.]

[Serathiel: Stable.]

[Lysara: Stable.]

[Nerys: Stable.]

Kaine watched the three names for a moment, then, he walked out of his room. The corridor outside was quiet. He looked towards the far end, there was one person he normally called whenever he needed something.

A servant assigned specifically to him.

Renn.

Renn had handled almost everything Kaine required for years, training equipment, clothing, meals, medicinal baths, messages, books.

Kaine did not even know where most of those things were stored because he never needed to.

He simply asked and Renn brought them.

"Renn."

Kaine called and it didn’t take long. Footsteps came from the adjoining corridor, a man in his late twenties rushed towards him.

"Young Master."

Renn bowed.

"I need all these things from the medical stores."

Kaine gave him the list.

"Of course."

Renn took the list and nodded.

"I’ll bring them immediately."

"Enough for several doses if possible."

"Yes, Young Master."

Renn turned around and he had barely taken three steps when another voice came from farther down the corridor.

"Renn."

The servant stopped.

Kaine turned around and his eyes fell on three young men walking towards them. Kaine recognised them.

They were his cousins.

They were all part of the recent Summoning.

All three of them smiled at Kaine, then, one of them turned towards Renn.

"Clean that table."

He ordered as he pointed at a nearby table.

The table was already clear, there was not even a speck of dust on its surface. Of course, Renn couldn’t say that out loud.

"Young Master Kaine asked me to retrieve something from the medical stores."

He spoke with a little hesitation but the man’s face instantly became cold.

"Did I ask what Kaine told you to do?"

"N-No."

"Then clean that table."
