Chapter 14: The War on the Horizon

Supreme Daily Login System

The War on the Horizon

After a minute later, Anna took a sigh of relief.

She said with a happy expression.

"Victor, your mother is going to refine the pill. Wait a little more, you can cultivate again."

Anna said gently.

"Thank you, mother!"

Victor nodded and said.

His heart swelled with gratitude.

This woman.

This beautiful woman.

She was doing everything for him.

Working tirelessly to heal him.

To make him whole again.

He would repay her.

He would make her proud.

Anna left the room to refine the pill.

All the girls couldn’t help but wait with some expectations.

The room fell into a comfortable silence.

Victor looked around at the women surrounding him.

Each one was a treasure.

Each one was beautiful.

And each one cared about him.

"Aunt, you went outside. Where are we right now? What are the levels of the forces of this region?"

Victor asked curiously.

He wanted to understand this world better.

He wanted to know his surroundings.

"Well, we are currently living in the Suncloud Kingdom. It is only a second-rank kingdom. The Suncloud Kingdom is surrounded by three neighboring kingdoms, Obsidian Dune Kingdom, Whitecliff Kingdom, Silverwood Kingdom while its one side is shaded with a vast forest filled with spiritual beasts. Other than that, there are many small kingdoms in this surrounding area, none have a force higher than the third rank. These all small kingdoms are ruled by a big empire, Vermilion Empire."

Clara explained.

Victor listened quietly.

He absorbed every word.

His mind was sharp.

His golden eyes focused.

"Let me tell you about the Suncloud Kingdom. The Suncloud Kingdom is ruled by Suncloud Family, the ruler of this kingdom for a hundred years. So you could say that Suncloud Family is the most powerful clan in this kingdom. Other than Suncloud Family, there are few more second-rank clans in the kingdom who stand next to the Imperial Clan. I really never pay attention to them as they are too weak to make trouble for us."

Clara shrugged her shoulder and said.

Her huge E cup breasts bounced slightly with the movement.

Victor’s eyes flickered for a moment.

But he quickly focused on her words.

"So the Suncloud Family is the ruling power here. And they have been in control for a century. That means they have deep roots in this kingdom."

Victor said thoughtfully.

Clara raised an eyebrow.

"Sharp observation, nephew. Yes, they are well-established."

Victor nodded.

"Then the other second-rank clans must be constantly watching for any weakness. They would want to take the throne for themselves."

Clara’s eyes widened slightly.

She looked at him with newfound interest.

"Impressive. You deduced that quickly."

Victor smiled.

"It’s just common sense. Power always attracts ambition."

Rias also looked at him with a hint of surprise.

Her cold expression softened a little.

"You seem more perceptive than before," she said.

Victor’s heart raced.

He had to be careful.

He couldn’t reveal too much.

But a little intelligence would impress them.

It would make them trust him more.

Trust him with their secrets.

With their hearts.

"Just thinking out loud," Victor said humbly.

At this time, the face of Rias frowned a little.

"Big sister, I think something big might happen in the future. I heard rumors during traveling that the Obsidian Dune Kingdom showing some aggressive behavior towards the Suncloud Kingdom. There seems to be some history between the two kingdoms. There is a chance for a war to break out between the two kingdoms in the near future. Although it doesn’t matter to us if Suncloud Kingdom wins or loses, it might disturb our peace."

Rias said with concern.

Clara lost in thoughts.

She pondered for a few seconds.

"If war breaks out between Suncloud Kingdom and Obsidian Dune Kingdom, which side would likely win?" Victor asked.

His eyes were sharp.

His mind was calculating.

Clara looked at him.

"Suncloud Kingdom is stronger. They have the advantage. But Obsidian Dune has been building their military for years. It could be a long war."

Victor nodded slowly.

"Then we should prepare to move if the war comes close. But maybe we can use this situation to our advantage."

Clara’s eyes widened.

"What do you mean?"

Victor smiled.

"Chaos creates opportunities. If war breaks out, many people will flee. Many will need help. We could gain resources. Information. Even allies."

Clara stared at him.

Her red eyes sparkled with wonder.

"Since when did you become so strategic?"

Victor shrugged.

"I’ve had a lot of time to think while lying in bed."

Rias also looked impressed.

Her cold gaze held a trace of admiration.

"Your mind is sharper than I expected," she said.

Skyla clapped her hands.

"Young Master is so smart!"

Her green eyes shone with adoration.

Lane nodded in agreement.

"Yes, Young Master. Your insights are remarkable."
