As the plane was about to land, Xiao Xiao woke up and casually glanced around, spotting the exceptionally handsome man sitting behind Xia Wan.

Once the plane landed, Xiao Xiao immediately approached Xia Wan and whispered, “Wan Wan, I saw Ji Heng! He was sitting right behind you. He’s really handsome—even more so than those male celebrities in the entertainment industry.”

Xia Wan watched as her assistant started fangirling again and asked helplessly, “Ji Heng? You mean the CEO of Ji’s Entertainment?”Full novel: Surprise! Explosion! The Godly Face Top Streamer is Live Streaming Sweetness! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

She couldn’t possibly be unaware of the CEO’s name given Ji’s Entertainment’s status, especially since the company had repeatedly sent her offers to sign with them.

Xiao Xiao nodded eagerly. “Yes, that Ji Heng! Take a look—he’s right behind you.”

“Hurry, look! He’s even more handsome than in magazines or on TV,” Xiao Xiao urged, afraid she might miss the chance.

Xia Wan wasn’t particularly interested, but seeing Xiao Xiao’s exaggerated excitement, she glanced back.

Her eyes immediately landed on Ji Heng, who stood about two meters away, towering elegantly above the crowd.

His devilishly handsome face, deep-set eyes, perfectly sculpted nose, and flawless features left no room for criticism. His aura was both noble and restrained.

His broad shoulders and well-tailored suit made him appear even more imposing.

He made the airport feel like a fashion runway.

However,

at that very moment,

the man who had been speaking to someone beside him casually looked up and locked eyes with Xia Wan, who had been stealing a glance.

Xia Wan immediately averted her gaze, feeling the guilt of being caught peeking.

Fortunately, she was wearing a mask and hat, so he probably didn’t recognize her.

Unaware of what had happened, Xiao Xiao asked, “Wan Wan, isn’t he handsome?”

“Not bad,” Xia Wan replied offhandedly, pursing her lips.

Had he not looked in her direction, she might have admitted he was very handsome.

Xiao Xiao was taken aback by her response. “Not bad? Wan Wan, your standards are way too high!”

“You’ll have a hard time finding a boyfriend like this.”

Xia Wan asked, puzzled, “What does that have to do with me finding a boyfriend?”

Xiao Xiao picked up their air-freighted luggage. “It’s hard to find any man more handsome than Ji Heng.”

Xia Wan laughed. “Who said I choose boyfriends based on looks?”

But she had to admit, Xiao Xiao had a point.

“Not based on looks?” Xiao Xiao grew anxious. “You have to consider looks! You’re so beautiful, Wan Wan—you need a boyfriend whose looks match yours.”

Xia Wan got into the car waiting for them outside and teased, “How shallow. What if he’s handsome but treats me poorly?”

Sitting beside her, Xiao Xiao insisted, “That won’t happen. I believe you’ll find a man who’s both handsome and treats you well.”

If anyone dared mistreat Wan Wan, she’d be the first to confront him.

Xia Wan removed her mask and smiled. “Well, thank you in advance.”

Xiao Xiao added, “I think that Ji Heng is like you—even more stunning in person.”

“…” How did the topic circle back to this?

Xia Wan deliberately nitpicked, “So, are you saying I don’t look good on camera?”

Xiao Xiao hurried to explain, “No, you look great! It’s just—”

“Alright, I know what you mean,” Xia Wan cut her off.Xiao Xiao recalled the previous incident when Ji’s Entertainment had sent people to poach talent. “If the current company president weren’t your own brother, Wan Wan, I’d think signing with Ji’s Entertainment would be an excellent choice.”

“What? Is my current company that bad?” If her brother heard this, he’d definitely fire her.

Xiao Xiao shook her head in explanation. “No, aside from Ji’s Entertainment, the best company is definitely the one we’re with now. After all, Ji’s Entertainment has been established much longer.”

“But I believe with President Xia’s capabilities, Wan Xia Entertainment will soon stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Ji’s Entertainment.”

Xia Wan: “You’ve never worked at Ji’s Entertainment though. What if they treat their artists poorly?”

“That probably wouldn’t happen. That company provides premium resources for their artists – this is common knowledge.”

“If they were bad, why would so many artists want to sign with Ji’s Entertainment?”

“Looking at their CEO, he doesn’t seem like a heartless capitalist either.”

Xia Wan found herself agreeing with the first two points, but remained silent upon hearing the last one.

Since when did her assistant become skilled at reading faces?

After arriving at the residential complex, Xiao Xiao carried the luggage and went upstairs with Xia Wan.

The privacy in this complex was excellent – no need to worry about paparazzi taking photos since they couldn’t even get in.

As the door opened, lights gradually brightened, curtains automatically closed, the air conditioning adjusted to a comfortable temperature, and the sound system began playing light music.

“Wan Wan, I absolutely adore your apartment,” Xiao Xiao exclaimed while looking around, marveling once again.

The three-story duplex featured modern design with clean, minimalist aesthetics throughout.

Comfortable yet sophisticated.

The first floor contained the living room, dining area, kitchen, plus an oversized balcony.

The second floor had one master bedroom, one guest room, with the remaining rooms converted into a makeup room, walk-in closet, and jewelry room.

The third floor housed a dance studio, recording room, and creative space.

The entire home was equipped with smart appliances – truly her dream house.

Xia Wan changed into slippers. “You could live here if you wanted, but you won’t.”

Xiao Xiao was almost always by her side. She had offered her to stay at her place, but Xiao Xiao always declined.

“The company provides me with housing.” She knew her boundaries well. Though Wan Wan was kind and didn’t mind, she couldn’t take advantage of her generosity. Living here would definitely disturb Wan Wan.

“Wan Wan, I’ll make dinner. What would you like?” Sister Nan knew they were returning today.

She had specifically arranged for groceries to be delivered.

“Just make a few simple dishes. I’m having dinner with my brother tonight.”

“Rest for a while first. You can cook later.”

Her assistant had abundant energy except when it came to exercise.

“Alright!” Xiao Xiao walked to the wet bar and poured herself a glass of water.

Cooking wasn’t part of her job description – there was staff for that.

But she figured since she had free time anyway – after all, Wan Wan only worked on writing songs and producing albums, leaving her with light duties –

she had taken over meal preparation. Unless they were working outside, she usually cooked here, and her culinary skills were excellent.

It wasn’t unpaid labor though – she had received a raise for it.

Xia Wan went upstairs and changed into comfortable loungewear, tying her long black wavy hair into a high ponytail.

Revealing her graceful swan-like neck, delicate facial features, and full forehead.”Sister Wan, Sister Nan will be coming over later,” Xiao Xiao informed Xia Wan about the phone call she had received while Xia Wan was going upstairs.

Xia Wan picked up the washed cherries on the table. “Alright, let Sister Nan come here for dinner.”

“Mm, I already told her. I’ll go prepare the meal now,” Xiao Xiao said, then dashed off to the kitchen in a flash.

She loved cooking and thoroughly enjoyed the process, finding it to be a very therapeutic activity.
