“Biology? That sounds really impressive. I probably can’t handle that. I’m only a bit interested in literature. In the future I’ll probably just help people write proposals and plans…”

Qi Bai cooperated and played along with the conversation.

Although Chaoyang appeared extremely harmless, for some reason he made Qi Bai feel a subtle sense of inconsistency.Full novel: Surviving in another world, I made my fortune by selling information. — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

It seemed like he was deliberately trying to tell her certain pieces of information, as if he had a strong purpose.

If this were on Blue Star, Qi Bai might have suspected that she was simply being overly sensitive. But remembering that this body possessed Super Perception, she kept an extra level of caution.

She casually took out the identity scanner and swept it across the man’s back.

It should be noted that any item produced by the system had an undetectable property. Even if she openly scanned someone, others wouldn’t notice anything suspicious.

Scanner

Name: Fu Chaoyang

Gender: Male

Age: 25

Height: 183 cm

Weight: 70 kg

Measurements: //**

Personality: Ambitious, pretentious, fond of novelty

Family: **

Ability: Photographic memory.

Identity: Heretic, Imperial Capital University freshman Blue Rank / Not registered.

The information displayed on the scanner made Qi Bai pause in surprise.

A heretic?

She was no longer the clueless newcomer who had just arrived in this world. Religion held a position in this society no less important than the government.

On the entire Angel Star, there was only one orthodox religion the Holy Light Church and “heretics” were often seen on wanted lists.

The personality shown on the scanner was a comprehensive evaluation based on the body’s past behavior, and it never made mistakes.

Unless, like Qi Bai, the entire soul had been replaced.

Qi Bai didn’t want to be accidentally implicated by a wanted order. But “heretic” also sounded like it might be related to hetero-blooded individuals.

And that Daily Mission 3 clearly looked like a major quest.

She was extremely tempted by it.

After thinking for a moment, she decided to wait and observe. She still had to work hard to earn points.

After all, she had to make a living.

Soon the two arrived at the gates of Imperial Capital University.

It was quite different from the luxurious aristocratic academy Qi Bai had imagined. At first glance, the entire university gave off a heavily guarded atmosphere.

At the entrance stood four soldiers in black combat uniforms guarding both sides of the gate. They held black rifles and wore fierce expressions.

Students coming and going had to enter through facial recognition, while freshmen reporting for enrollment had to pass through a special deep corridor.

Inside, the supervision was strict and the inspections cautious. There were at least eight or nine armed personnel.

Qi Bai couldn’t help feeling a bit nervous. Back in Huaguo she had never seen such a scene. Even the detention center she had only gone there once in her previous life because of doing a good deed.

“Take out your admission letter and communication mirror. We need to verify your information!”

Qi Bai and Chaoyang followed the officer’s instructions and checked their identities one by one.

After the initial inspection, they entered further inside where human risk detection was conducted.

At that point men and women had to be checked separately. Qi Bai only heard a young woman in a white lab coat seriously telling her to take off her top.

Then the staff used a special light-wave instrument to carefully scan every inch of her skin, as if worried that freshmen might be carrying some biochemical weapon into the campus.

After leaving the inspection room safely, the two underwent a routine physical examination. Finally, they followed a volunteer to the Academic Affairs Office to report in.

Chaoyang and Qi Bai had already separated at the inspection room. They had exchanged communication methods earlier, and Qi Bai didn’t plan to wait for him again.

The volunteer assigned to Qi Bai was a sophomore senior from the same department named Liu Changyu.

At first glance, Qi Bai felt that she carried a special kind of aura she looked like someone who wasn’t easy to mess with.

Unexpectedly, once the two were alone, Liu Changyu turned out to be very talkative.

She first congratulated and praised Qi Bai for being admitted to Imperial Capital University, then directly asked about some of Qi Bai’s background.

“You got in through a Talent Institute?” Liu Changyu looked somewhat surprised.

Children from Talent Institutes had a very contradictory status in this world. Before entering university, they could practically be called the lowest class in school.

After all, if they failed the talent examinations, they would be regarded as trash, beings who didn’t even deserve personhood.

No one would pity them or remember them.

But once they entered university, Talent Institute students actually had more background than those from ordinary families, and they had better opportunities to enter large corporations.

“That must have been tough. Junior sister, now you can finally say the bitterness has ended and sweetness has begun.

Your future will have its own opportunities!” Liu Changyu sighed with emotion. Considerately changing the topic, she began introducing the situation at the university.

“I’m a year ahead of you. Imperial Capital University is much freer than middle or high school but the premise is don’t offend the people you shouldn’t offend!”

“There are several special places in the school. Unless necessary, it’s best not to try going there.

First is the top floor of the Northwest Building the gathering place of the Huiying Club. Second is the private apartment building in the very center.

Third is the rooftop of Building C in the Comprehensive Building!”

Perhaps seeing the confusion in Qi Bai’s eyes, Liu Changyu didn’t explain further. She just shook her head and said one sentence:

“The water there runs very deep.”

Then she led Qi Bai past the club recruitment area, where people were coming and going in a lively crowd.

“After you finish your enrollment and get your student card, you can come here to learn about the school clubs.

Credits are very important. If you can get into the student union, you should try but opportunities and risks have always gone hand in hand.”

Liu Changyu clearly seemed like a senior with many stories. She shared many detailed pieces of information about the school. Though she spoke plainly, she occasionally added her own opinions.

“Liu Yuyu, bringing a freshman around?”

A boy with a strong soldier-like aura approached them. He wore wilderness combat gear, and there was a carefree, somewhat arrogant vibe in the way he walked.

“Wang Hongbin, can’t you change clothes after finishing field practice? I could smell you before you even got close!” Liu Changyu unusually started teasing him.

Qi Bai suddenly felt curious. Her fingers moved slightly.

Liu Changyu exchanged a few casual words with Wang Hongbin before turning to introduce him to Qi Bai.

“This is the president of the Wild Combat Training Club. If you’re interested, junior sister, you can check it out.

But a friendly reminder his club has never been gentle with girls. They usually train their members to the brink of death!”

Qi Bai hadn’t yet recovered from her surprise. She was currently looking at the identification information that had popped up in the system.

Qi Bai glanced over the two people’s information, paying particular attention to their identities.

Fortunately, nothing like “heretic” appeared.

She had already crossed paths with Fu Chaoyang, so it wouldn’t be possible to avoid him entirely but she definitely needed to control her social risks as much as possible.
