“The graduation assessment is about to begin.

I’ve been waiting for this day for so long.

can I successfully become an official Island Holder this time?”

“It won’t be easy.

Among the graduates of every class, only about one in seven can pass the assessment.”

“Damn… now I’m getting nervous.

If I fail to become an island Holder, I’m afraid I’ll have no choice but to become an ordinary wage earner for the rest of my life.”

“I heard that the assessment for becoming an Island Holder is extremely dangerous.

A lot of people die every year during the trial, and even entire groups fail to return.

Is that really true?”

“…”

In Valley View Academy, on the enormous central square, thousands of students gathered together.

Most of them were only in their early twenties.

Yet at this moment, the atmosphere was anything but relaxed.

Whispers rose and fell throughout the crowd.

Some students clenched their fists nervously.

Others stared silently into the distance, their expressions tense and uncertain.

Everyone was apprehensive.

After nine long years of study, they were finally about to face the last and most important assessment of their lives.

The graduation examination.

The test that would determine their futures.

They would enter the Endless Sea, become Novice Island Holders, and attempt to survive long enough to officially become recognized Holders.

For some, it would be the beginning of an extraordinary life.

For others…

It might be the end.

“I believe everyone here understands the dangers of the Endless Sea.” A deep and steady voice suddenly echoed across the vast square.

On the elevated platform, Principal Meinhard Janek stood upright with his hands behind his back.

His sharp eyes slowly swept across the thousands of graduates standing before him.

There was solemnity in his expression.

And beneath that solemnity…

A trace of concern.

This was the final time he could offer them guidance.

After today, their futures would depend entirely upon themselves.

Principal Meinhard Janek took a slow breath before delivering his final exhortation.

“I hope all of you will remember everything you have learned during the past nine years.

After entering your islands, your first priority is survival.

You must immediately search for the Source of Evolution and do everything possible to strengthen yourselves…”

His voice echoed clearly throughout the square.

Not a single student dared to interrupt.

Everyone listened carefully.

Because they knew…

These words might one day save their lives.

A hundred years ago, Terra had reached a critical turning point.

After centuries of relentless development and excessive exploitation, the planet’s resources had gradually been exhausted.

Human civilization has advanced rapidly through technology.

But eventually…

It reached a wall.

A seemingly insurmountable limit.

The road of technological development could no longer continue climbing endlessly.

It was precisely during that period…

That the Endless Sea appeared.

No one knew exactly where it had come from, nor did anyone understand why it had chosen humanity.

But its arrival completely changed the fate of Terra.

As its name suggested, the Endless Sea was boundless.

It stretched beyond the horizon, seemingly without beginning and without end.

No map had ever recorded its true limits.

No explorer had ever discovered its final boundary.

Within that vast and mysterious world existed countless islands.

Large islands.

Small islands.

Barren islands.

Fertile islands.

And islands filled with creatures and dangers beyond human imagination.

Every person on Terra would receive one opportunity during their lifetime.

An opportunity to physically enter the Endless Sea and become the temporary Holder of a randomly assigned island.

A Novice island Holder, to be exact.

If they could survive on their assigned island for one full month, then they would successfully complete the trial.

They would officially become recognized island Holders.

At the same time, they would establish a permanent connection with the island they had survived on.

However…

The Endless Sea was never a peaceful paradise.

It was a world where danger lurked everywhere.

Terrifying sea monsters.

Ferocious mutated beasts.

Unpredictable natural disasters.

Strange and incomprehensible phenomena.

And countless horrors that humanity had yet to fully understand.

Every year, people entered the Endless Sea.

And every year…

Some of them never returned.

But just as danger often came with opportunity, the Endless Sea also contained possibilities beyond imagination.

As long as someone could gain a foothold within that mysterious world, they would have the chance to become an Evolver of Legendary rank.

They could embark upon an entirely different path.

A path toward the Supernatural.

From that moment onward, moving mountains and filling seas would no longer be an impossible fantasy.

Reaching for the moon.

Breaking through the limits of ordinary humanity.

All of it…

Could become reality.

“Alright.” Principal Meinhard Janek finally stopped speaking.

“I’ve already said everything that needs to be said.

The rest…

is up to all of you.”

After delivering his final words, he gazed solemnly at the graduates before him.

Then…

He slowly raised his hand and waved.

In an instant, the sky seemed to shake as thousands of brilliant pillars of light suddenly descended from above.

Each beam accurately enveloped one of the students standing in the square, and the dazzling radiance illuminated the entire academy.

A few seconds later, the light began to fade.

One by one, the figures inside the beams disappeared.

When the last trace of radiance vanished…

The enormous square, which had been packed with thousands of students only moments earlier, had become completely empty.

Silent and still.

As if no one had ever been there.

In the Endless Sea, on an unknown deserted island…

“Ugh…” Reed Newt rubbed his forehead.

A splitting headache assaulted his mind, making his vision blur.

But after struggling for several moments, he finally forced himself to sit up, and he stared blankly at his surroundings.

Waves rolled across the sea and smashed against the shore one after another, and the sound echoed continuously across the empty beach.

Reed Newt slowly raised his head.

What entered his vision…

Was an endless expanse of blue water.

The ocean stretched as far as his eyes could see.

Behind him…

Was a small, unfamiliar island.

“I…

where am I?” His expression was filled with confusion.

Just moments ago, or at least what felt like moments ago, he had been sleeping peacefully at home.

Then he woke up and suddenly found himself lying alone on a beach.

He looked around again.

Sea.

Sand.

A deserted island.

And absolutely nothing else.

“Transmigration?” Reed Newt blinked.

“Or…

was I shipwrecked?”

After standing there in a daze for a while, Reed Newt gradually began to process the situation.

He seemed to have truly crossed into another world.

Only…

Wasn’t this supposed to be the beginning of a legendary adventure?

Other people crossed over and became the chosen hero.

Or, at the very least, successors to wealthy and influential families.

When it came to him…

He had apparently crossed over and become a survivor of a shipwreck.

What kind of terrible opening was this?

And what made things even worse…

He didn’t possess a single memory belonging to the original owner of this body.

No identity.

No background.

No useful information whatsoever.

“Forget it.” Reed Newt let out a long breath.

“Thinking about it won’t change anything.

Right now, I need to figure out how to survive.”

Fortunately, Reed Newt had always possessed a relatively open-minded nature.

Since he had already found himself in this situation, panicking would accomplish nothing.

Taking another deep breath, he pushed himself to his feet, and then he began walking along the shoreline.

His first priority was to survey the terrain and understand the island where he had found himself stranded.

Two hours later, Reed finally stopped walking, and his expression became increasingly grim.

Just as he had suspected…

The place where he stood was indeed an island.

A completely isolated island.

He had explored as much as he could.

But aside from himself, there were no other survivors.

Not a single one.

“This is bad…” Reed frowned.

He lifted his head and looked toward the blazing sun hanging high in the sky.

His mind quickly began calculating his situation.

He was alone.

Stranded on an unknown deserted island.

The only thing he possessed was the set of clothes on his body.

Nothing more.

No food.

No fresh water.

No weapons.

No tools.

And when he looked toward the endless sea, there was not even the shadow of a passing ship.

This clearly wasn’t a popular shipping route.

Which meant…

There was a very real possibility that he could wait for months, perhaps even years, and still never see anyone.

“Hell difficulty right from the beginning…” Reed’s eye twitched.

Nothing could have described his current situation more accurately.

The only piece of good news was…

He was still alive.

As for the others from the supposed shipwreck…

They were most likely already lost beneath the sea.

Just as Reed was beginning to consider whether he should search for food or fresh water first…

“Ding!” A mechanical voice suddenly echoed inside his mind.

“Detected: The host is currently living alone on an isolated island.

Survival System detected.

Binding in progress!”

Reed Newt froze, and his eyes widened.

“Binding progress: 1%…

5%…

20%…

50%…

80%…

100%!

Binding complete!” The mechanical voice disappeared.

For several seconds, Reed remained completely motionless.

Then, a look of excitement suddenly appeared on his face.

He had a system.

Just when he was about to begin a desperate struggle for survival, the standard power of almost every transmigrator had finally shown itself.

“Ding!

This system exists to assist the host in surviving in the wilderness.

As long as the host remains in a deserted or uninhabited environment, the host can continuously obtain Survival Points.”

“The rate at which Survival Points are obtained can be upgraded.

The longer the host survives in the wilderness, the more Survival Points the host can accumulate!”

“Survival Points are the exclusive currency of the Wilderness Survival System.

They can be exchanged for primitive technologies, survival skills, and various other abilities!”

“Current Survival Point acquisition rate: 1 point per day spent surviving in the wilderness.”

“Current Survival Points: 0.”

Before long, he had already gained a general understanding of the Wilderness Survival System and its functions.

To put it simply…

The system was directly connected to his ability to survive.

As long as he remained alive and continued surviving in the wilderness, he could steadily accumulate Survival Points.

And those points…

Could be exchanged for all kinds of technologies.

All kinds of knowledge.

And all kinds of survival skills.

The longer he lived…

The stronger he could become.

“That means…” Reed’s eyes gradually brightened.

“This island might not be the worst possible place after all.”

Immediately afterward, he turned his attention toward the system’s mall.

He wanted to see exactly what the system was capable of providing.

At first, his expression remained calm.

But as he continued looking through the available items, his eyes widened, and a look of pure delight slowly appeared on his face.

The contents of the system mall…

Were far more incredible than he had imagined.
