There was no sensation to the transmigration.

With just a slight blur before his eyes, Sento felt the surrounding air temperature plummet.

In an instant, the scene shifted from a pale yellow empty space to a pitch-black cave.Full novel: Surviving the Multiverse with Anime Heroines — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Directly ahead was the cave entrance, revealing a vast expanse of white outside.

Sento’s eyes narrowed.

Hey, my luck seems okay.

Setting aside which game world this is for now, this winter environment perfectly suits the Wonder I pulled earlier.

Speaking of which, usually this style of transmigration comes with a Status Panel or something, right?

Just as the thought crossed his mind, a Status Panel suddenly surfaced within Sento’s field of vision.

I must say, it was quite exquisite, with black text on a white background.

The white border was decorated with numerous snowflakes.

If one stared at the panel long enough, they would notice countless fine snowflakes faintly drifting across the background.

Good grief, not only is it a dynamic panel, but it’s also linked to the current world.

On the left side of the panel was a 3D model of Sento himself, with his name floating above the model’s head.

Below the character model was a small hourglass, with a somewhat ethereal countdown floating above it.

[99 Days 23 Hours 58 Minutes]

If expectations held, this was likely the duration he needed to survive in this world.

‘100 days…

a bit longer than I thought.’ Sento pinched the bridge of his nose.

The right side displayed a series of data, such as his name and age, which Sento skipped over.

This Wish Corridor was indeed different from the God Space.

It didn’t have basic attributes; aside from basic info like age and height, there were only two rectangular slots.

Each slot contained a varying number of hexagonal badges.

The first slot had three: two bronze ones and one somewhat ethereal, translucent badge.

Sento clicked on them one by one to check.

[Instant Reaction (Bronze): Your neural reflex speed is very high, at an excellent human level.

In moments of crisis, it can temporarily explode with several times the effect.]

[Invisible Affinity (Bronze): You possess a handsome appearance and a gentle temperament, which naturally lowers others’ defenses and makes it easier for them to form a favorable impression of you.]

[???: Unawakened.]

Oh, it’s the Talent Column, right?

Then what’s with that ‘Unawakened’ one at the end?

As Sento pondered, he looked further down.

The rectangular slot below was naturally the Skill Column.

Compared to the decent Talent Column, the Skill Column was rather meager, containing only one bronze skill.

[Survival Expert, but a Gamer (Bronze): You know a tiny bit of survival skills, but they mostly come from games.

No matter, perhaps they’ll come in handy?

(0/5)]

I can’t help but feel this skill is a bit mocking.

Setting aside the skill effect for now, that 0/5 at the end looked a bit strange.

Sento wanted to see if he could trigger a description or something by concentrating his attention.

But just then, he felt a slight movement coming from behind him on one side.

Startled, he whirled around like a pouncing tiger to look back.

A dark figure moved within the dim cave.

Sento then realized—right, every transmigration involved at least two people.

This must be his companion, right?

He remembered seeing at the Great Light Orb that PVP behavior was discouraged to encourage participants to overcome difficulties together.

If a participant insisted on harming others, directly or indirectly, they would receive a certain penalty.

In other words, if he didn’t get along with the other person, they could just go their separate ways.

Since there was someone else, he would stop studying the panel for now.

The cave was simply too dark.

Sento could only barely make out that the person was wearing something like a short dress, with a jacket or sweater tied around their waist, and their hair was in a side ponytail.

This outfit made Sento pause.

Wearing so little in this freezing weather—aren’t they afraid of the cold?

Sento thought to himself that anyone with half a brain would surely prepare some clothes, food, and water before entering any kind of world.

Yet the person before him wasn’t carrying anything.

Looking down at himself, Sento found he was wearing the same spring casual clothes he had on before being hit by the truck.

Then there were only two possibilities.

Either the other person was like him, pulled into this Wish Corridor because of an accidental death—those who die accidentally have no chance to prepare supplies.

Or, supplies prepared in advance couldn’t be brought in, and only certain limited special items could be carried freely.

Oh, right, there’s a third one.

That is, the other person didn’t believe in the Wish Corridor at all, so they hadn’t prepared anything.

The figure, having shifted slightly, saw Sento and immediately let out a cry of surprise.

“Wha?

Wait, wait!

This situation…

Could it be that the isekai transmigration mentioned in that email is real?

Yabai, I thought it was just a prank spam email!

And it’s super cold here…”

The girl’s voice was crisp and pleasant, with a hint of sweetness.

More importantly, she seemed to be speaking Japanese, yet Sento could understand her effortlessly.

“Um…” Sento, suddenly hit by a wave of social anxiety as if possessed by Bocchi-chan, trembled all over before hesitantly stepping forward.

Judging by her tone, she was likely a young girl.

Maybe they could communicate normally.

To survive in such an unfamiliar environment, it was best to travel with a companion.

Aside from anything else, even from a pragmatic perspective, someone who had received the “choose one of three” newbie benefits should be of some use.

“Ah, so just like the email said, there’s a companion to move with?”

The girl rubbed her arms as she stepped out of the shadows.

Aided by the faint light shining into the cave mouth, Sento could barely make out her appearance.

This one look made him freeze instantly.

The girl walking over was indeed wearing the short dress he had imagined, with a sweater tied around her waist.

Of course, the main reason Sento was drawn to her was her appearance.

Medium-length blonde hair tied in a side ponytail, sapphire-like eyes, and a face that mixed cuteness with a touch of fragility.

Isn’t this the popular supporting character Ai from “Kaguya-sama: Love is War”?

Sento was dumbfounded.

It was one thing to be given a companion, but why a 2D beauty?

This Wish Corridor was being way too generous.

As Sento’s “third 2D wife,” he knew quite a bit about Ai.

She was the personal attendant of the female lead, Kaguya Shinomiya, in the work “Kaguya-sama.” Of course, that’s the professional term; calling her a maid works too.

Moreover, she was the daughter of a high-ranking member of the Shinomiya Group and was one-quarter Irish.

She possessed a very comprehensive range of abilities, from humanities to sciences, and from physics to combat—all at a top-tier level.

She had also frequently ranked in the top three or even first in popularity polls.

Noticing the way Sento was staring at her, Ai’s eyes narrowed slightly.

‘That look…

it seems like he knows me.

Could he also be a student of Shuchiin?’

Originally, Ai wanted to give her usual alias, Smithee A.

Herasaka.

But seeing Sento’s reaction, she thought he might know her, so she decided against it after some thought.

After all, according to the Wish Corridor, the two of them could form a team.

If she started with an alias and was seen through, it would surely hinder their teamwork.

In such a dangerous environment, Ai felt it was better to unite and act together as much as possible.

“Uh…

hello, I’m Sento.”

Realizing he had been staring for too long, Sento quickly nodded, introduced himself, and extended his hand.

However, considering the environment, he thought she might be reluctant to have physical contact, so he quickly pulled his hand back.

Noticing this gesture, Ai’s tense shoulders relaxed slightly.

After all, judging by Sento’s action, he seemed to be a relatively introverted person, making him likely safe to be around.

So Ai didn’t hesitate.

Before Sento could fully retract his hand, she reached out first, grabbed it, and gave it a few firm shakes.

Maintaining her usual “gyaru” persona from school, Ai said with a giggle, “That sounds like a very cool name!

I’m Ai, but you can just call me Hayasaka.”

It seemed they had gotten off to a good start, and Sento relaxed a bit as well.

He then noticed that Ai’s fingertips were a bit cold, so he quickly said, “By the way, why are you wearing so little?

Let’s hurry and find something to keep you warm.”

With that, Sento turned and walked toward the cave mouth, intending to check the situation outside.

Unexpectedly, as he turned, he was tripped by something at his feet and nearly fell.

Fortunately, he caught himself against the nearby rock wall.

“Whoa!

That was dangerous!

Sento-kun, are you okay?” Ai quickly stepped forward to support him, then looked down to see what had tripped him.

At Sento’s feet were two backpacks placed back-to-back.

They looked like small hiking packs, partially filled with items.

“Are these things you brought, Sento-kun?” Ai crouched down to examine the two backpacks.

She said with some surprise, “How did you do it?

I packed a whole bag of snacks and drinks, but none of it came with me.

Even my cosmetics are gone—it’s so frustrating!”

Sento barely managed to keep a straight face.

Knowing that her gyaru tone and style were an act made it feel somewhat amusing to hear her speak this way.
