However, training without understanding the surrounding environment would only cause me to move without any clear direction.
I needed to find out where this place was, who possessed great power, what the political situation of the world was like, and whether there were any dangers I needed to be aware of from the very beginning.
After making that decision, I started walking, choosing a random direction in an attempt to leave the forest.
I had neither a map nor any clues about this place, so the only thing I could do was keep moving forward and hope to find signs of human presence.
Without knowing my location, the region, or even the state of the world I had arrived in, I could only rely on my observations and instincts to decide my next course of action.
Every decision I made had to be approached with caution, because even a small mistake in an unfamiliar place like this could lead me into an unfavorable situation.
Each step I took produced the sound of leaves and small branches crunching beneath my feet.
The sound echoed clearly through the silence of the vast forest, making me instinctively pay closer attention to every movement around me.
I constantly scanned my surroundings, trying to find signs of life such as footprints, trails, remnants of campsites, or anything that suggested humans had once passed through this place.
Not only that, but I also observed changes in the ground, the arrangement of the vegetation, and the condition of the surrounding environment to determine whether this place had ever been used by anyone before.
However, the farther I walked, the more I realized that this forest was truly rarely touched by humans.
After several hours of traveling, I began to notice something rather strange.
Although the forest appeared incredibly dense and was filled with all kinds of vegetation, the number of animals I encountered was surprisingly small.
Occasionally, I spotted a few small rabbits darting through the bushes, squirrels leaping between tree branches, and several deer that immediately fled the moment they noticed my presence.
They all appeared to be ordinary animals with no unusual behavior.
There were no signs that they were creatures with special abilities or animals that had undergone any kind of transformation due to their environment.
Furthermore, no large animals or dangerous creatures appeared throughout my long journey.
The only forms of life I encountered regularly were small insects such as beetles and various other bugs moving through the grass, along tree trunks, and among piles of fallen leaves.
That made me somewhat curious, because a forest this vast should have been home to far more life.
With such an abundance of vegetation, there should have been a wide variety of animals inhabiting this place.
Yet the atmosphere felt unnaturally quiet. There were no sounds of wild beasts, no distant growls, and even birdsong was rarely heard.
That silence made me feel that there was something different about this forest, even though I still had no idea what the actual reason was.
I continued walking while observing my surroundings, trying to figure out whether something was causing the forest to be this way.
Whenever I paused for a moment, I listened carefully to the sounds around me, but all I could hear was the wind passing through the trees and the sound of my own footsteps.
At that moment, I had no idea what time it actually was, whether it was still morning or perhaps already noon.
I couldn't tell because the sun was only faintly visible through the dense canopy of branches, leaves, and towering tree trunks.
The light that filtered into the forest came only in thin rays that reached the ground, casting long shadows and making it difficult for me to estimate the sun's position.
I didn't even have something as simple as a watch to tell me how long I had been walking.
Even so, I had no choice but to keep moving. Stopping in the middle of an unfamiliar forest was not a wise decision, especially when I didn't even know whether danger was lurking nearby.
I didn't know whether there were powerful creatures hiding within this forest, whether this area was considered dangerous, or whether someone might already be watching me without my knowledge.
After a long and exhausting journey, I finally managed to find my way out of the forest. The moment I stepped outside, I immediately felt the change in atmosphere.
The air was more open, my view was no longer blocked by towering trees, and the sunlight finally touched my body directly after previously filtering through the gaps between the leaves.
For a moment, I simply stood there in silence, taking in the contrast between the dark forest behind me and the open land stretching out before me.
Ahead of me lay a dirt road that appeared to be used quite frequently. Its surface was far from well-maintained, consisting only of hardened earth that had been compacted over time by countless people and vehicles passing through.
Several sections bore deeper wheel ruts, suggesting that heavy vehicles regularly traveled along this route.
There were also several clearly visible horse-drawn carriage tracks imprinted in the ground. From those marks, I concluded that this road was most likely a route commonly used by merchants or the local residents.
"Good... I've finally found signs of human life," I muttered quietly.
Seeing the carriage tracks on the dirt road brought me a small sense of relief. At the very least, I wasn't stranded in the middle of an uninhabited forest.
The wheel tracks were still quite distinct, indicating that this road was likely still in regular use and that carriages or traveling merchants had passed through not long ago.
As long as there was a well-traveled road, there was a good chance that a village, a small town, or at least a resting place for merchants could be found nearby.
That thought eased some of the anxiety that had weighed on my mind throughout the journey, giving me a glimmer of hope after wandering through the silent forest for so long. At the very least, I was no longer walking without a clear destination.
Without wasting any more time, I began following the road marked by the carriage tracks. My steps remained calm, but I didn't let my guard down for even a moment.
As I walked, I occasionally observed my surroundings. My gaze swept across the trees, bushes, and the road ahead, making sure nothing suspicious appeared out of nowhere.
From time to time, I also glanced behind me to make sure nothing was secretly following me.
Even though I had finally found a road used by humans, that didn't necessarily mean this place was completely safe.
If anything, I had to be even more cautious because I had no idea who might be using this road.
I knew absolutely nothing about this world, who lived in it, or what kinds of dangers might appear without warning.
That was why I chose to remain careful with every step I took. Letting my guard down simply because I had found a road would be a foolish mistake.
I continued walking for quite some time until the sky gradually began to change color. Time slipped by without me realizing it, as my thoughts remained occupied with all the possibilities of the village I might eventually find.
The sunlight that had once shone brightly gradually began to fade, signaling that the afternoon was drawing to a close.
The shadows of the trees stretched across the dirt road, while the gentle evening breeze carried the familiar scent of grass and earth.
The long journey since leaving the forest was beginning to take its toll on my body, leaving my legs slightly sore even though I forced myself to keep moving.
It was then that I noticed something in the distance. A small village stood not far from where I was, and an overwhelming sense of relief immediately washed over me.
Before I realized it, my pace quickened slightly as the destination I had been searching for finally came into view, and the exhaustion that had weighed on my body seemed to lessen just a little.
