20 – The Human Fairy Exploded at the Racetrack
The weekend night at the racing track was ablaze with lights.
All around, the intense, heart-pounding roar of engines filled the air.
On the winding tracks, motorcycles of various colors sped like arrows released from a bow, their wheels scraping against the asphalt and sparking flecks of fire.
In the spectator area, many young men and women waved colorful flags, cheering wildly for their favorite racers.
The atmosphere was electric and frenzied.
On the final curve, several motorcycles were locked in a tight chase, each vying to be the first to cross the finish line.
“Vroom—”
With a deafening roar, a motorcycle painted purple and adorned with a Kuromi design shot forward like a beast unleashed.
Executing a stylish lean, it sliced through the curve with ease, effortlessly overtaking the others.
Spectators could barely catch a glimpse of the rider as they watched in awe and excitement, following the figure all the way to the finish line.
“Damn, that skill! Must be a pro racer!”
“Though the bike’s color is a bit girly. Could it be a woman?”
“Are you kidding? Car racing is a man’s sport. What’s a woman doing here?”
“True, racing is our battlefield!”
Excited cheers and whistles erupted all around.
One of the overtaken racers in black, looking displeased, strode over. “Hey, which team are you from? Don’t you know we’re in a pre-race? What are you doing barging in?”
Jiang Yuxing leisurely and smoothly dismounted her motorcycle.
She wore a black-and-purple racing suit, the slim-fitting fabric hugging her slender figure.
Her long, straight legs were clad in combat boots, accentuating her already striking height of 1.7 meters.
Even before her face was visible, an aura of sweet, spicy allure radiated from her.
The racer who had approached her, along with the onlookers, couldn’t help but widen their eyes in surprise.
She removed her helmet, and a cascade of smooth, reddish-brown curls tumbled down her back.
“You’re preparing for a race?”
Jiang Yuxing met their stunned gazes calmly and tilted her chin. “Count me in, then.”
A woman???
Everyone froze in disbelief.
In their straight-male mindset, car racing had always been a man’s domain.
Women belonged on the cheerleading squad, dressed in skimpy outfits, cheering and applauding for them.
“Wait, did I hear that right?”
The racer licked his lips and smirked, thinking she was joking. “You, a woman, want to race against us men?”
“Little girl, stop joking around.”
He pointed to a few cheerleaders nearby, giving her a leering once-over. “Racing is for men only. See? That’s where you belong.”
“Hey, watch your words, man.”
Another man stepped forward, pretending to mediate but speaking with sarcasm. “Her dad is Huo Chi. Be careful, or this young lady might get upset and run home crying to her daddy.”
What?
Huo Chi?
Hearing this, the racer’s expression shifted, and his gaze toward Jiang Yuxing turned sour with envy.
In the racing world, everyone knew Huo Chi.
A globally renowned international racer, he had set countless records since his debut.
Even after retiring temporarily, he remained unbeatable, with achievements that no one had yet surpassed.
The racer who had started the trouble snorted coldly.
So she had such a powerful father backing her up.
No wonder a woman could show up at the racing track and ride such a high-end motorcycle.
“That bike of yours is modified, isn’t it?”
The racer in black crossed his arms, his disdain written all over his face. “Must’ve cost a fortune. Tsk, what a waste on a girl.”
The surrounding racers burst into loud, mocking laughter.
Every gaze directed at her was filled with malicious gender discrimination.
“Hey! Have you laughed enough?”
Xiong Ge and Yu Xiaohuai, who had followed the commotion, frowned and stepped in front of Jiang Yuxing. “Our Sister Xing is—”
Before they could finish, the girl behind them patted their shoulders.
“Get on the bikes.”
Jiang Yuxing stepped forward, her beautiful eyes sweeping over the racers. “We’ll race right now.”
“If I win, you’ll take turns apologizing to me.” She stood tall in her combat boots, looking down at them with a sudden, confident curve of her red lips. “Then get the hell off the racing track.”
The girl’s aura was wild and fierce.
The racer in black slowly wiped the smile off his face.
His voice rose. “And if you lose?”
Jiang Yuxing raised an eyebrow and pointed arrogantly at her motorcycle without hesitation. “Then it’s yours.”
Owning a perfectly modified motorcycle was every racer’s dream.
Hearing this, the racer in black grinned widely and eagerly agreed. “Fine, it’s a deal. Don’t start crying when you lose.”
With that, they hurried off to prepare, as if afraid Jiang Yuxing might change her mind.
What luck tonight.
Scoring such an easy win!
Nearby, Xiong Ge and Yu Xiaohuai exchanged a glance and smiled.
What a beautiful night.
Another idiot was about to get what he deserved.
At the starting line of the track, a row of racers quickly gathered, ready to go.
The roar of engines rose and fell, and beams of bright white headlights illuminated the path ahead.
Among the tall, burly racers, only the girl in the black-and-purple racing suit stood out—small and seemingly out of place.
News of a girl joining the race had drawn a crowd several times larger than before to the spectator area.
The clamor of cheers and screams ignited the night sky.
The referee checked the time and waved the flag.
Instantly, motorcycles of various colors shot forward like arrows.
At such high speeds, their wheels sparked against the track.
While everyone else had already sped off, Jiang Yuxing took her time putting on her gloves, showing no rush at all.
They claimed women didn’t belong in racing, but she refused to accept that.
Not only would she race—she would become the world’s number one female racer!
Jiang Yuxing’s gaze sharpened. Gripping the handlebars, she revved the engine with a deep roar.
The sweet yet fierce motorcycle reared up like a beast on the hunt, its speed like lightning as it shot forward.
Leaning low over the bike, she maneuvered with skill and flair, quickly overtaking several racers ahead and leaving them far behind.
The spectators erupted into excited screams.
Jiang Yuxing had effortlessly surged from last place to the front.
The racer in black, now overtaken, lost all his earlier arrogance. Beneath his helmet, his expression turned panicked.
Damn!
Wasn’t she just behind me?
How did she get ahead so fast!?
The thought of losing to a girl gnawed at him. In desperation, he resorted to a dirty trick, trying to sideswipe Jiang Yuxing.
Jiang Yuxing glanced sideways and let out a cold laugh.
Using the curve to her advantage, she leaned her bike sharply toward the ground, accelerating with expert skill and speed to dominate the track.
The racer in black hadn’t expected her to advance instead of dodging. Losing balance, he tumbled off his motorcycle.
As he crashed to the ground, Jiang Yuxing accelerated ahead, crossing the finish line amid a wave of cheers.
Leaning lazily against her bike, Jiang Yuxing raised her hand toward the racer in black, who was struggling to stand up. She formed a gun with her fingers, her red lips curling into a mischievous, arrogant smile. “Bang~”
The gesture infuriated the already defeated racer, who threw his helmet to the ground in rage.
“Damn it! What are you so proud of?”
He stumbled over. “If I had a bike like yours, I’d win too, you get it?”
Jiang Yuxing raised an eyebrow. “I gave you a head start, and you still tried a dirty trick. Even then, you lost. What good would a better bike do? You’d still end up eating dirt.”
The racer in black choked on his words.
With so many eyes on him, his pride stung. He was about to spew more insults.
“Still not convinced?””
Jiang Yuxing removed her helmet and shook out her reddish-brown hair.
Tilting her chin, she looked down at him with a cold, commanding gaze, placing a finger to her lips. “Shh. Keep it to yourself, sis~”
Ahhh, star baby, you’re so cool!!! Kiss me!!! (づ ̄3 ̄)づ
