Amidst the emergency alerts from the cold mechanical voice, Liu Yun’s consciousness slowly returned. Sensing weightlessness and the rush of wind, her dull mind gradually came back to life.
’What is happening? Didn’t I already die?’
Liu Yun’s mind was filled with confusion, but the urgent mechanical voice and the pain throughout her body told her that she was not dead.

The moment Liu Yun heard this, she forced herself awake. When her heavy eyelids finally opened, the sight before her sent chills down her spine.
Looking at the ground below, covered with countless disgusting monsters, Liu Yun felt her scalp go numb.

Filled with horror and disbelief, she froze in fear.
Before she could process what was happening, the familiar mechanical voice rang out again. This time, it was accompanied by urgent beeping sounds.

While the mechanical voice kept repeating the same warning, Liu Yun suddenly felt a cold aura directed at her. The feeling was as though she were being stared at by a poisonous snake.
Instinctively, she turned to the side, only to meet a pair of crimson-red eyes.
The instant her gaze met those cold red eyes, Liu Yun’s heart skipped a beat. For some reason, those eyes didn’t seem to be looking at her face. They seemed to be looking directly at her soul.
An ominous feeling spread throughout her body. Every pore and every cell in her body screamed in warning, forcefully pulling her out of her fear.
Before she could look away, the mechanical voice spoke again.

Two seconds before the countdown ended, thunderous booms echoed from the distance.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Liu Yun’s eyes widened in shock when she saw the incoming bolts of lightning. Just before they struck her, the red-eyed man kicked off the ground and soared into the air.
An instant before he grabbed her, the lightning bolts struck both of them.
At the same time, the System finished the countdown.

The moment the mechanical voice fell silent, Liu Yun’s vision was engulfed by a blinding light, and she disappeared into nothingness.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Far away in the distance, hundreds of people stood on top of a towering wall.
At the very front stood a woman in her early thirties. Dressed in a military uniform, she stared at the explosions in the distance, her fists clenched tightly.
Behind her, the men and women wearing the same military uniforms also watched the explosions with tense expressions.
After the dust settled, one of them suddenly shouted in despair, "The Zombie Emperor is still alive! The plan has failed!"
Hearing this, the woman’s jaw tightened. Her eyes turned cold as she ordered, "Prepare for the next attack!"
Just as her words fell, something unexpected happened.
The red-eyed man, who had been standing in the center of the zombie army, suddenly shot toward the sky. In the blink of an eye, he disappeared into nothingness, as if he was swallowed by something invisible.
Below, the motionless zombies were suddenly thrown into chaos. Without warning, millions of zombies suddenly became active and roared toward the sky.
"Roar!"
"Groar!"
As the zombies’ roars filled the tense air, the woman’s eyes trembled in shock.
"Where is he?! How could he suddenly disappear without leaving a trace?!"
Turning to the man standing beside her, she urgently said, "Find him! We can’t let him escape, or the world will end today!"
At her words, the man activated his ability, only to face a shocking truth. Looking at the woman, he tremblingly said, "I can’t find the Zombie Emperor. It seems like he has vanished from this world!"
Hearing this, the woman and the rest of her people couldn’t believe their ears. Unfortunately, they didn’t have the time or chance to ponder it.
While the woman and her people were still in shock, the zombie army charged toward humanity’s last surviving base. Their heavy footsteps shook the ground while countless zombie roars echoed through the surroundings.
"Roar!"
Behind the base’s tall wall, the remaining survivors huddled together in despair, waiting for their incoming death.
Coming back to her senses, the woman quickly ordered, "The zombies are coming! Defend the base!"
At her command, the people standing on top of the high walls raised their weapons and activated their abilities.
Facing the incoming zombie army, they clenched their weapons tightly and shouted in unison, "Fight to the death!"
And so, the battle between the zombie army and humanity’s last surviving base began.
Unfortunately, Liu Yun knew nothing about it.
