Aria never expected billionaire heir Sebastian Vaughn to respond to her message.

The post wasn’t meant to be serious, just a way to prove to Caspian and the entire Graves family that she could do whatever she wanted.

Her reputation was already in ashes.

What more could the world possibly take from her?

But one thing was certain, she would never be with Caspian Graves ever again.

“What are you doing, Aria?” Lydia’s voice cut sharply through the air.

Her eyes widened the moment she saw what Aria had typed.

“This isn’t a joke, Aria.

Brother Caspian doesn’t deserve such treatment,” she scolded, but Aria ignored her completely, her fingers hitting post before doubt could creep in.

Within seconds, the internet exploded.

She had been off social media for an entire week after the scandal broke, and now, she was publicly proposing to the most elusive billionaire alive the moment she returned.

Sebastian Vaughn was a man rarely seen, barely photographed, and rumored to be untouchable.

Infact the only picture of him online was his highschool graduation.

No one knew what he looked like now.

Was he even alive, or were the Vaughn family hiding something from him?

Sebastian was he kind of man who owned half the world, while she, Aria Monroe, was being mocked as a washed-up scandal.

Maybe she had gone too far.

But her point had to be made.

It’s not like a busy billionaire like Sebastian would check for her or whatever she was doing.

Online, chaos erupted:

“Is she sick?”

“Is she on drugs?”

“What the hell is this Aria 😂😂😂”

“This internet whore has started again 🤣🤣.”

“Maeve is for everyone.”

“The biggest joke of the century.”

“What a shameless pass around.

Is she done with Caspian.”

“Did she think he’s Caspian Graves?

This is Sebastian Vaughn, for crying out loud!

😂😂”

“He’ll never respond to you, Aria, you whore.

Find someone else.” 😡😡

The insults flooded in faster than she could read.

Her eyes went through every word and she pressed her lips I to a thin line.

They were as brutal as they were in her past life.

Words that can slice you in half.

This is why most celebrities change over night.

But Aria didn’t flinch.

She had been hated before.

This wasn’t new.

Across the dining table, Genevieve frowned.

“What is she doing?”

“I don’t know what’s gotten into her, Aunt Aurora,” Lydia said quickly, trying to contain the damage.

“Please forgive her.”

“She just messaged Sebastian Vaughn,” Lydia said, voice trembling.

“She asked him to marry her.

Publicly.”

The room fell into stunned silence before erupting again in loud laughs from every corner.

The Graves family were mocking her, except Benson Grave.

Caspian’s father, Mr.

Benson Graves, who had remained quiet all evening, finally spoke.

“What have you done, Aria?” His deep, commanding voice filled the room.

This fight between you and Caspian isn’t needed.

We can settle this as a family.

Caspian has agreed to forgive you.

Why continue this foolishness?”

A cruel laugh echoed from Matilda, Caspian’s aunt.

“Forgive her?

She just contacted Sebastian Vaughn.

You have no idea who he is.”

“Why’s that, Aunt?” Lydia asked, curiosity breaking through her panic.

“Because,” Genevieve interrupted with a mocking smirk, “Sebastian Vaughn is the most invisible man in the world.

He’s not even online, nor does he have the time to be.” Aria tilted her head slightly, a faint smile tugging at her lips.

“You’re nothing more than a desperate woman crying for attention Aria.

Ignore her like the world would and see how she’d become a complete joke.

I would be very angry if you went back to this abomination Caspian.”

“You have insulted the Graves family after everything we did for you Aria.”

“Let her be Aunt,” Caspian snapped coldly.

“This is the beginning of her downfall.

She chose this path herself.

Let her deal with the consequences.

When uncle arrests her for disturbance, maybe then she’ll learn.”

Uncle…

Lydia thought.

She has been scared right now that Aria just messaged the richest man in the world, she had no idea he was Caspian’s uncle.

She stared at Aria and smiled stylishly.

At this point, her sister was a disgrace both online and in their family.

Aria should never raise her head ever again.

Aunt Aurora’s voice trembled.

“I expected better from you, Aria.

You’ve disappointed me.”

Lydia’s eyes filled with tears.

“Aria, please!

Delete that post before it’s too late.

You’re the only family I have left, I don’t want to lose you.”

“Is this an attempt to prove to me that you can have any man?” Caspian laughed.

“I can just call my uncle and he’ll lock you up immediately.”

Before Aria could reply, her phone buzzed.

The sound sliced through the tension in the room.

Everyone froze.

A notification flashed on her screen.

@SebastianVaughnOfficial: Yes.

Where can we meet?”

Velmora erupted…

“This couldn’t possibly be Sebastian, it’s obvious is some fake account.”

“But who would be the impersonator?”

“No one dared impersonate Sebastian Vaughn.”

The Graves stared at one another in disbelief as the internet went wild again.

Phones began buzzing simultaneously, hers, Caspian’s, Lydia’s, flooded with notifications and news alerts.

Lydia checked her phone and frowned.

“H–He just accepted,” she stammered in whispers.

“That’s impossible,” Genevieve hissed, snatching the phone.

Her eyes widened as she read the message.

“What is the meaning of this?

Don’t tell me Sebastian would dare…”

“He cannot do that, we need to call father to warn him.”

Aria watched them panick and only smiled.

Calm, composed, almost regal.

She slipped her phone into her bag as though nothing extraordinary had just happened.

“Since we’re settled now,” she said quietly, “I’ll take my leave.”

Every pair of eyes followed her as she stood and walked out.

In the hallway, she pulled out her phone and dialed Evelyn’s number.

“Evelyn,” she said, her voice steady.

“I need help, I think I asked the wrong person to marry me.”

Eve, you make me laugh.
