Aria arrived at Silver Crown Entertainment and moved directly to Caspian Graves’s office.
She ignored the gazes of the workers and other fellow stars who stared at her like she was some disgusting shit.
She already knew what they thought about her, but she cared less.
Once upon a time, she was well respected by everyone here.
The apple of Caspian Graves’s eyes.
Everyone wanted to be close to her, but right now…
“The audacity she has to still show her face here,” one person whispered to the next.
“What can she do?
She’s signed to Silver Crown.
I wish Mr Graves would just terminate her contract and drop her.”
“Can you believe after running around him for years and getting the opportunity to be THEE Caspian Graves’s wife, she just blew that away.”
Aria ignored their words and marched forward.
She wasn’t here for the puppets she was here for their boss.
When she reached Caspian’s office, she didn’t bother knocking.
She was too upset for that.
She pushed the door open.
But instead of Caspian, she found Lydia Monroe sitting comfortably in his chair, chatting with Mr.
Martin like she owned the company.
The face she saw was different from the cute innocent facade she always put up.
But she wasn’t surprised.
Her sweet innocent sister looking like the devil she was, was not something she should be shocked about.
“Aria.” Lydia jumped to her feet the moment she saw her, eyes wide like she’d just seen a ghost.
Aria should have seen all of these in the past, but she was blinded by it all.
She was blinded by her fake care.
“W-what are you doing here?”
Aria ignored her, scanning the room.
“Aria, didn’t we already talk on the phone?” Mr.
Martin tried to sound calm, like he had things under control.
“Listen, if you’re here because of what we talked about then forget it.
I’m not changing my mind for anything.
I already told you what need…”
“Where’s Caspian Graves?
I need to speak with him,” she demanded cutting Martin off, not caring for their little meeting.
Though she wondered what it was about too.
Since when were Lydia and Martin this close?
If Lydia was too into the company then she must know about Leah right?
But that was another conversation for another day.
“Brother Caspian isn’t here.
How have you been Aria?
Mother’s worried sick about you.” Lydia walked toward her, her voice dripping with concern.
“Aria, you can hate me all you want, but please don’t ignore me.
I’ve done nothing to you.”
She didn’t answer.
She just stared.
Because truthfully, she didn’t come here for her.
And since when did Lydia even show her face in this place?
“Aria how about your engagement with Mr Vaughn?
I’ve been meaning to ask you sister, how did it go?
Have you spoken to him?” Lydia asked innocently.
That night, she had thrown a tantrum in Caspian’s room and he assured her his uncle will have nothing to do with her sister.
If anything, Caspian is a whore who only fucks them and go.
She was scared because that night, she had arranged a tout to fuck Maeve, only for them to drag her to a different room entirely and the man she saw in the video tape looked wealthy too.
“It’s okay if he didn’t say anything and it was all just for show.
After all, Mr Vaughn is way above your level.
Not even Caspian his nephew gets to see him.
Can you imagine?” She laughed, placing her hands on her chest.
It was obvious she was so happy at her sister’s pain.
“Besides, I heard the account that messaged you was the fake one and Mr Vaughn is not online.
How embarrassing.”
“Where’s Caspian Lydia?” Aria asked again.
“I’m right here?” The voice came from behind her.
She spun around, and there he was.
“Caspian…” He raised a hand, cutting her off.
“It’s Mr.
Graves, Aria.
Don’t forget I’m still your boss.” Her teeth clenched immediately.
“Fine, Mr.
Graves.” She flashed him a sweet smile, the kind that wasn’t sweet at all.
Her tongue was sugar-coated as she spoke out.
“Though I’ve never seen a boss so eager to work their employees to death.
Not only did I sign a ridiculous contract with you.
I write songs as a human not some song-making machine.”
His brows lifted.
“I can’t make your two billion in a single day.
Just like you can’t sign two thousand contracts before sunset.
Mr.
Graves.
Working me to death is not going to make me come back to you.”
Caspian gritted his teeth at her words.
The big mouthed stubborn woman.
She continued.
“Our deal was clear, no overworking me.
Forcing me to churn out eight songs within hours?
And rejecting everything I sent before without listening to it is not just unreasonable, but cruel.”
“We got divorced Caspian, move on from it.
We already agreed that work is different from our personal lives.” Aria aired out her thoughts and felt more at peace with herself now.
“Did you forget you’re now working overtime?
The songs you produced are worthy of an ep not for an album.” Caspian said.
“Our top artist Leah, has a debut album coming in a month, to avoid your songs being stolen, we have decided to give them to her.
Until her album is complete, any song you write from now on, belongs to her.” Aria couldn’t believe what he just said.
“I’m not doing that.” She said and Caspian laughed.
“You don’t have a day in anything Aria.
It’s a part of the contract, and that is how I want my money to be paid.”
“For the upcoming competition, it’s best you step down.
It’s going to be Leah’s show too,” Caspian said.
“We’ll see about that,” she smiled.
She was more than prepared for the competition.
She’ll see how Leah wins against her.
“Aria,” she heard Lydia’s faint voice but she didn’t bother responding.
She started walking away.
