(A/N: Sorry for the late release; I was watching the new Sam and Colby video and got distracted.)
[Malcolm’s house]
It’s already morning, huh?
The game isn’t until night, so I have about 12 hours till then.
Took a quick shower, got dressed, then made my way downstairs to make breakfast.
‘I’ll leave her food here in the kitchen before heading out.’
I decided to go out for a jog to get a little warmed up since it was a bit cold this early in the morning.
On my way, I went to the Hale house to talk with Derek about showing up at the game.
Arriving at the former Hale house, I looked up, and it was barely hanging on by a thread.
Shifting my sight to the side, I noticed a wolfsbane plant on the ground.
Eyes glowing, I focused on it and saw a rope attached to it that drew a large single spiral.
Revenge- that’s what that symbol meant in the werewolf world.
A deep-seated hatred that meant, by any means necessary, ‘I will have my revenge.’ I wasn’t in the least bit surprised; Derek had just lost his sister to his Uncle no less, and he wasn’t even aware of it.
“Come out, Derek.
You know I can hear your heartbeat; there’s no point in hiding.” The door of the house swung open, and out came Derek.
He was clearly on guard from our last encounter.
“How far have you gotten in uncovering who the rogue Alpha is?” I asked him.
“Nothing so far; all I know is that his scent changes when he turns back human, so tracking him is nearly impossible.
Plus, Scott’s his beta, so I plan to use him as bait to draw the Alpha out.” He says, sitting on the stairs.
“That was the plan until someone came and ruined it.” he glared at me with clear annoyance.
“You mean use a victim to draw the killer out?
You do realize Scott has no idea what the hell is going on.”
“So threatening to kill him in his own home would make him trust you, isn’t exactly a great plan.” I continued.
He stayed quiet for a few seconds before walking towards me and standing an arm’s length from me.
“What do you want?” He asked.
“To help you get revenge for your dead sister, Laura Hale.” His eyes widened when he heard the last part.
His eyes started to glow a deep, cold blue, and he said, “Who are you really?”
“Trust me, Derek, you don’t want to fight me, especially when you’re an Omega.”
My eyes glowed crimson momentarily, then back to silver.
Then Derek’s went back to their original hazel green.
The wind blew, and leaves shifted; trees shifted.
“Meet me at the Preserve entrance, and we’ll talk about how to help you get revenge for your sister.
For now, lay low; you can’t take him on alone.” I turned and headed back home.
Walking inside the door, I noticed my mom walking down the stairs, yawning while stretching her arms.
One of the deadliest creatures on earth, and she’s as harmless as a rock, well, maybe when you don’t piss her off.
“Morning, Mom.
How’d you sleep last night?” I closed the door behind me.
“Pretty good.
Where did you go this early in the morning?” She asked while making a cup of green tea.
“Just went out for a run, got a bit chilly, that’s all.”
“Chilly?
Oliver your a werewolf; you don’t get cold.” She smacked the back of my head.
“What was that for-”
“For lying to your mother.
Don’t forget I’m a werewolf and your mother, so I know when you’re lying to me.
Now, why were you really out?” She looked at me with “The look.”
‘Shit, I forgot she was also like me.’ I thought to myself.
“I went to go talk to Derek; there’s a killer on the loose, and worse, it’s a rogue Alpha.”
Her fork stopped midway; her eyes glowed red.
I’m not surprised she’s mad; out of everyone I know, she had the greatest sense of justice, and she hated when innocent people were killed.
And she may look sweet and innocent, but she could kill an alpha in her human form.
“How many people?” she asked.
“Just one.
It was Derek’s older sister,” I replied, leaning against the counter.
“He’s messing around in our territory.” She said.
Once I heard those words, an evil smile made its way onto my face.
I guess I was worried she’d think us taking over this territory would be wrong, but it looks like she’s on the same page as me.
“Then let’s show them that ownership of this territory has changed.” My eyes glowed red to match hers.
[Beacon Hills High]
Arriving at the school, I went to the locker room with my bag to meet up with the rest of the team.
Finstock was in his room prepping some plays to run.
Entering, I noticed most of the team’s gaze on me; some were acknowledging me, others were afraid.
I made my way straight to the coach’s office.
“Coach, let me lead them tonight.
You just sit back and enjoy the show.”
“Haaahahaha, nice try, kid, but you’re new here; settle down,” he mockingly laughed.
I released a bit of my aura to persuade him.
“I’m not joking around.” My voice left no room for argument.
“Alright, kid, but screw up and you’re benched for the rest of the season.” He said with a smirk.
I went to get changed and soon followed after.
He was addressing the rest of the team, but I wasn’t focusing cause I only had one objective: Destroy my opponents.
The rest of the team went out into the tunnel, and coach went straight to the bench.
The school we were playing against was warming up on the field.
Making my way out, I released all my Aura and made a head gesture for the team to follow.
None of them refused; with my Aura flaring, I walked in front while the rest of them followed.
We made our way around the front and stopped them when the field came into view.
“When you step on that field, I expect all of you to destroy them.
Don’t hold back even the slightest bit, or else.
Am I clear?” They all nodded in agreement, coachs whistle came from the field.
So I hand-gestured for them to follow me.
“Where are they?” Allison asked.
“Don’t know.” Olivia
“Ohh, they’ll be here; he’s just preparing his soldiers for the slaughter,” Gloria said, drawing the attention of the crowd.
In the distance, I gestured for the coach to hype up the crowd of parents and students.
“C’MON LET’S GET SOME ENERGY ROLLING HERE, BEACON HILLS!
STOMP YOUR FEET AND LET THEM HEAR THEIR TOWNS GOT THEIR BACKS, MAKE THE OPPONENTS GO DEAF!” Finstock yelled at the crowd.
BEACON HILLS BEACON HILLS BEACON HILLS
“Hear that they’re cheering for you, NOW GO GIVE THEM A REASON TO CHEER TILL THEIR LUNGS BURST!”
“YEAAHHHH”
Coach blew his whistle as loud as possible.
Then, from the shadows, we walked up to the field like a pack of hungry wolves.
I was leading them like the Alpha I am.
The crowd was lively, and cheers rained down on the other school.
In the crowd, I saw my mom sitting next to Allison; she made a simple but clear gesture with her hand: Kill them all.
She knew me well.
The ref called the teams to the pitch; we all went to our positions.
Jackson was sitting out due to his injury.
He can stay there and just watch.
Scott was at the tip-off.
The ref blew his whistle to start the game; Scott easily won the ball.
I quickly moved past half-field.
“Scott!” I called out.
He passed the ball to me.
I didn’t run past them or try to break their ankles.
Way worse.
I planted my left foot, leaned my upper body forward, and cocked back my right hand, and with every ounce of strength in my human form, I shot the ball like a missile right past the keeper’s face straight into the goal, scoring the first point.
The field went silent, opponents stunned, and the stands were silent.
As if on cue, the stands erupted with cheers.
“Calm down, boys; stay focused.
It was just one point.
Get them back for it,” the other team’s coach tried to reassure his team.
The game resumed, and this time I was at the tip-off.
The whistle blew, and I took the ball and went straight on offense.
“SCOTT, LET’S GO!” He dashed forward, weaving through opponents.
Two defenders came at me.
I faked going left and saw a gap between them and went through.
The next one looked more muscular, so he tried bumping me, so I met him with the same force and shoulder checked him, dropping him on his back.
With the entire opposition now focused on me, Scott made his way straight to the Goal.
On my side, I was weaving through their rawster and when I reached the goal 5 defenders came straight at me.
“Here you go, Scott, make em pay for ignoring a True Alpha.” I passed the ball behind the back to Scott.
By the time the other team realized what was happening, Scott was already in shooting motion.
The Ball made its way straight into the top corner.
“WOOOO YEAHHH!” Olivia and Allison were cheering from the stands.
Soak it all in, Scott.
This is our introduction and warning shot to all the other schools.
“Nice shot, man.
Get ready, ‘ cause I’m gonna be sending more your way.” I said, patting him on the back.
“Yeah, no problem.” His eyes glowed yellow with excitement.
“GO SCOTT!” Melissa cheered in the stands.
“KNOCK EM DEAD, MIJO.” Gloria followed.
“Looks like the crowd’s hyped; let’s give them a show.” My eyes glowed Crimson with excitement.
For the rest of the game, the other team didn’t even touch the ball; it was pure dominance from our side.
Almost all our players had scored except Danny, our goalie, who was sitting and enjoying the show.
Finstock, on the other hand, was throwing insults at the opposing team’s coach; there were some things that not even a criminal would say.
I almost felt bad for him, almost.
Once the game was over, the score was 27-0; we won.
Malcolm: 12 Goals 15 Assists
Scott: 5 Goals
Rest of the team: 10 Goals
The other school went back to their bus with their eyes looking soulless and devoid of emotion; some were even crying, but they tried to hide it.
