Taken aback by Huang Zhenjun’s proposal, the whole room descended into chaos.
The notion of a resignation rattled the board members, who had never expected Huang Zhenjun to suggest such a drastic measure.
What does Huang Zhenjun mean by this?
“T-this, t-this…” Stuttered voices filled the room as disbelief coursed through the board members.
Huang Zhenjun’s suggestion was clear: He wanted to remove Feng Tian from her position as the CEO.
“I actually quite agree with Director Huang.” Yan Si Tang suddenly said much to everyone’s surprise.
Quickly masking her astonishment, Yan Si Tang smiled, she certainly had not expected Huang Zhenjun to try and use such a dirty trick to get rid of Feng Tian, but, in terms of connection, he was still unbeatable, and she of all people knew what he was capable of; after all, he was someone who could easily make anyone who disapproves of him disappear from the face of the earth.
“Miss Feng should take responsibility by tending her resignation letter and then apologize to the public.” Yan Si Tang declared.
Yan Si Tang’s support swayed several members to join her side, prompting a growing murmur of agreement among them.
In actuality it wasn’t a surprise that Yan Si Tang agrees with Huang Zhenjun because they all knew the kind of person she was, Yang Si Tang had always been someone who only placed her votes on the winning side, and for her to agree with Huang Zhenjun, she must have been sure that Feng Tian’s resignation was going to solve the problem.
Huang Zhenjun was prepared to move forward when a deep voice resonated from the back of the room.
“Director Huang, this proposition of yours, why should we agree?”
Immediately, they all turned their attention towards the direction where the voice came from, it was Mo Yan Chen, the director of Royals pharmaceutical who spoke,
“Shouldn’t we wait until the CEO arrives? I mean, before taking this decision we should at least hear what she has to say, we never know she might even have a solution already.” Mo Yan Chen said, his stern and reasoned inquiry challenging Huang Zhenjun’s agenda.
“Mr Mo, what solution could she possibly have, when things have already gotten to this extent?” Yi Si Tang questioned.
“We’ve all seen how this incident has affected every one of us, investors are threatening to pull out their investment, customers are already boycotting our product, and all that happened overnight. And out of all the people here, I actually don’t see anyone raising their hand up to provide us with a solution.” Yan Si Tang said, immediately, the board members began to shift uncomfortably in their seats as the whole room fell into silence, in this case, even though they all knew apologizing to the public will mean Feng Tian was confirming the rumor, and also admitting to something she didn’t do, none of them were willing to take her side, especially when Huang Zhenjun was involved.
“Mr Mo, as you can see, no one is willing to take responsibility. Now I believe we now have the right to cast our votes.” Huang Zhenjun said.
The room became a battleground of arguments and conflicting opinions.
Amidst the commotion, Huang Zhenjun was poised to proceed to a vote when the boardroom’s door burst open.
All eyes turned to the entrance, and a collective gasp echoed through the room as Feng Tian gracefully entered, her poised smile concealing the turmoil that lay beneath the surface.
“Director Huang, I must say, your ability to grab any opportunity that comes your way is something I do not think I can ever achieve in this life.”

EARLIER THAT WEEK
Feng Tian smirked as she stared at the racks of guns on the wall, her eyes lighting up as she continues to examine the new displayed guns, she was currently at the indoor shooting range where she initially planned to meet up with a client who later had to reschedule due to an emergency.
Deciding to spent her morning at the upscale indoor shooting range, Feng Tian then offered to stay behind instead of leaving immediately.
The room was adorned with an array of firearms displayed on elegant racks.
Gleaming pistols and rifles in various sizes and calibers adorned the walls, illuminated by carefully positioned spotlighting that emphasized their deadly allure.
The atmosphere exuded a blend of sophistication and danger, the scent of gunpowder lingering in the air.
The indoor range was spacious, with each shooting lane separated by sturdy, soundproof partitions.
Red and blue overhead lights bathed the lanes in a surreal, almost cinematic glow.
Every lane featured a target retrieval system, and the gentle hum of ventilation provided a sense of tranquility amid the potential chaos.
Slowly making her way towards the gun rental area, Feng Tian muttered a small okay under her breath as she slowly reached for the gun of her choice.
“I didn’t catch Miss Feng as a gun enthusiast type.” A middle-aged woman dressed in a range marshal’s outfit suddenly said; immediately turning to face the owner of the voice, Feng Tian smiled,
“Mrs Wang.” Feng Tian cheerfully greeted the woman who startled her by suddenly pulling her into a tight hug,
“Look at you, still pretty as ever, when I heard a certain Miss Feng was here, I almost didn’t believe it because every time I tell Xiao Qiang to bring you by, he keeps using you being busier than him as an excuse.”
“What! Don’t worry Mrs Wang, I’m going to teach him a lesson by shipping him off to an island for his next project, you won’t mind, would you?” Feng Tian said, whispering out the last part before they both bursted into laughter,
“Good, you should do that, so tell me Miss Feng are you ready to shoot? It will be my pleasure today to assist you as your marshal.” Mrs Wang said as they moved to one of the well-illuminated lanes.
Mrs. Wang handed Feng Tian protective eyewear and headphones, essentials for ensuring safety while enjoying a round of target practice.
As Feng Tian took her position, she felt the weight of the gun in her hand.
Her surroundings seemed to fade away as she focused on the target downrange.
The concussive blasts and the recoil of each shot reverberated through the lane, creating a sensory experience that was both thrilling and meditative.
Few minutes later, Feng Tian lifted her head to examine her target, and upon seeing the accuracy of her shot, she smiled.
She was about to shoot again when suddenly she heard a slight knock on the bulletproof glass beside her, slowly turning to her side, Feng Tian smirked as she spotted Li Wei who also lifted his gun, immediately pulling the trigger before turning to face her again.
“We should go, you will be late for your next appointment.” He muttered to Feng Tian who nodded before pulling off her protective muffs.
“As expected, you guys did not disappoint.” Mrs Wang said as she raised her hands up in applause,
“I wanted us to go out for a meal after but seeing Mr Li here, it must mean your break is over.”
“I promise, I will definitely find another time to visit.” Feng Tian said.
“Alright, alright, the next time you are coming, try to bring that stubborn son of mine if you can.” Mrs Wang said with a smile before pulling her into a hug.
After saying their goodbyes, Li Wei and Feng Tian slowly headed out of the shooting range,
“Uh, it’s been such a long time since I had so much fun,” Feng Tian said as they entered the vehicle, “What’s my next schedule?”
“For this month promotional program, Royals entertainment has chosen a multi sport event. I already ordered for your luggage to be packed and also cleared your schedule, we will be heading to the agency in a while.” Li Wei said. This chapter was taken from novelping . com without permission.
Nodding slightly, Feng Tian yawned before resting her head on the car’s headrest.
Few hours later, Ah Bao pulled the car to a stop in front of the agency building, Feng Tian exhaled as she steps out of the vehicle, casually shifting her gaze towards the building’s exterior that showcased its prominent logo in bold letters before putting on her sunglasses.
Deciding not to wait for Li Wei till he was done with his phone call, Feng Tian quickly muttered ‘Meet me inside.’ to him before making her way to the building.
On entering into the building, She immediately walks toward the restroom direction.
“Hey, did you see Jenna dancing in the practice room?”
“She’s so pretentious, always trying to make others look bad.”
“She’s so annoying.”
Slowly stepping out of the stall she was in, Feng Tian sighed as she walked towards the sink to wash her hands, she could feel the eyes of the two gossipers who looked like trainees on her, not even paying them any attention, she slowly made her way out of the restroom after finishing her business.
“Who was it?” Feng Tian asked Li Wei who was already waiting outside the corridor,
“The chairman, he’s asking what your thoughts are on director Yan.”
“He’s a good man.” Feng Tian replied, she knew who Yan Zhiwei was, in fact, everyone in the entertainment industry knew him, he had managed to gain fame due to his good looks and exceptionally down-to-earth attitude, unlike his ex-wife, Yan Si Tang, whose motto was staying at the top no matter what.
Feng Tian knew the chairman favored Yan Zhiwei greatly because of his good character, which could also be considered the reason why she decided for Charlie to sign his contract with Royals instead of the other agencies overseas.
“Welcome, Miss Feng, it’s a pleasure to see you again.” Yan Zhiwei greeted Feng Tian who extended her hands for him to shake before leading them to his office direction.
They were about to reach Yan Zhiwei’s office, when suddenly a particular sound emitting from the practice room caught Feng Tian’s attention, immediately halting her steps, Feng Tian raised a brow as she slowly move towards the practice room, where a young woman with an air of grace and confidence, was passionately dancing.
Her body moved in rhythm to the music with fluidity and precision.
The young woman’s lithe form seemed to effortlessly weave through the choreography, exuding an aura of energy and devotion.
As she danced, Feng Tian could not help but admire her potential, her movements were a testament to her dedication and talent.
Her limbs extended and retracted with grace, her steps were precise, and her expressions were filled with a profound connection to the music.
The fervor with which she moved communicated a deep love for her craft.
Her attire was a blend of practicality and elegance.
She wore a form-fitting dance outfit that allowed her to move freely while showcasing her toned physique.
The fabric shimmered in the studio lights, enhancing the beauty of her every movement.
Her ocean blue hair, pulled back into a neat bun, showcased her expressive facial features.
Moving closer to the view, Feng Tian’s lips curve up in a small smile as she continue to listen to the music blasting through the speaker,
“He finally decided to show the world this song, I almost thought it was meant for my ears only.” She muttered under her breath before turning to face Yan Zhiwei,
“Who is she?”
