[Favorability: 16% (She thinks you’re... interesting?)]
Across the table, Su Yuyan blotted her lips with surgical precision. The napkin came away unstained—of course it did. Women like her didn’t leave traces.
"Sharp tongue," she mused. "But I wonder..."
Lin Feng’s spine straightened. Here it comes.
"—if you can keep this up."
Her phone buzzed. A flicker of something dark crossed her face before she locked it down.
Trouble.
"Excuse me." She stood so fast her chair didn’t make a sound. "The meal was... educational."
Then she was gone, leaving nothing but Chanel No. 5 and unanswered questions in her wake.
[System: Well?]
Lin Feng’s fingers drummed the tablecloth. ’Well what?’
[You gonna chase your ¥100,000 investment or just sit here smelling her perfume?]
Outside, Su Yuyan’s heels clicked too fast against the pavement.
The black sedan appeared like a panther sliding from shadows. The door opened without sound.
"Miss Su." The suit inside had a voice like a velvet coffin. "Young Master Zhao requests—"
"Busy."
"He insists."
Su Yuyan’s knuckles whitened around her clutch. A single glance back at the restaurant—
Did she hesitate?
