The Deep leaned in to kiss Starlight.

But Starlight was clearly resisting.

She turned her head aside and let out a soft, sweet groan.Full novel: The Boys: Deep’s Path to Supremacy — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“No!”

She was full of mock disgust.

Yet, when The Deep obediently started to pull away, Starlight groaned again.

She grabbed the back of the man’s head and actively pulled him into a kiss, greedy and urgent.

*Did she really mean “no” when she said “no”?*

The girl’s body was incredibly soft, carrying a unique, sweet fragrance, like a soft and pillowy mochi.

The Deep supported Starlight by placing a hand under her tailbone, lifting her slightly.

Biting her lip, Starlight looked at him shyly and whispered, “Is Mr.

Deep unable to suppress his sins today, too?”

My, my.

Her green eyes gradually began to glow with golden light, forming a halo of brilliance.

Even the whites of her eyes were filled with that bright, dazzling golden light, holy and blinding.

Finally, as her body arched high, her golden eyes resembled embers dancing in the wind, with specks of starlight scattering into the air.

The Deep looked teasingly at the girl.

Her pale cheeks were flushed and dewy, and her fair arms were wrapped around his waist.

She whined in discontent, “Deep, your soul is too dirty, I can’t fully bear it.

After all…”

She added pitifully, “I’m just a barely of-age angel.”

The man’s desire for conquest reached its peak at this moment.

Fully satisfied, The Deep got out of bed, grabbed a Tsingtao beer from the fridge, and handed it to Starlight.

The poor girl looked somewhat exhausted from losing so much fluids.

Starlight frowned when she saw the beer he was offering.

“I’m a Christian, I don’t drink.

Your dirty soul hasn’t defiled me enough?”

The Deep made an OK sign, grabbed a straw, poked it in, and handed it back.

“Now it’s a kid’s drink.”

Starlight didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

She cursed under her breath, “Bastard.”

She bit down on the straw and took small sips.

…

The next day.

The Deep reported to Queen Maeve as usual.

Maeve glanced at the time.

“An hour later than yesterday, Deep.”

“I was reporting some work to Madelyn.”

Queen Maeve immediately remembered Ashley taking The Deep away yesterday because Madelyn wanted him.

She asked curiously, “Deep, what did Madelyn have you do yesterday?

Normally, she doesn’t send just one person on a mission.”

Indeed, women loved gossip.

The Deep clicked his tongue.

“Maeve, this is classified.

With your security clearance, you don’t have the right to know.”

“Oh?” A strange smile played at the corner of Maeve’s lips.

The Deep thought *oh crap*, his body already retreating before his brain could process it.

But he was still no match for Maeve’s speed, which was second only to A-Train and Homelander.

Before the afterimage of Maeve at the door could fade, the real Maeve had already appeared right in front of him.

A straight punch slammed heavily into The Deep’s abdomen.

Maeve’s smug voice rang in his ear.

“Now?

Do I have the right to know?”

The Deep coughed up some yellow bile.

Wiping his mouth, a fiery look appeared in his eyes.

“Is that all?”

*Crack!*

Maeve delivered a roundhouse kick straight to The Deep’s thigh.

It felt as if a heavy-duty truck had hit him head-on.

In an instant, The Deep lost all sensation in his right leg, unable to tell if it was even still attached.

His head slumped, and he collapsed directly to the floor.

Maeve grabbed his leg and threw him with a seismic toss.

*Boom!*

The entire wall cracked, web-like fractures spreading rapidly.

Usually, Maeve controlled her power and angle to avoid damaging the building when beating him up.

After all, remodeling was too much of a hassle.

But this time, Maeve seemed genuinely excited.

The Deep felt a surge of panic.

Enduring the tearing pain in his muscles, he rasped, “Maeve, are you crazy?

If you really want to know…”

Maeve immediately caught him in a joint lock, dislocating his shoulders with a sickening crunch.

Her red lips brushed against his ear, her breath warm.

“Compared to that secret, I’d rather beat you to death right now.”

“Oh, no!”

“Too late!” Maeve’s tongue darted into his ear canal with a flick.

She smiled seductively, whispering like a demon, “Today, we’re learning Muay Thai.”

*Muay Thai?

Wasn’t that the legendary elbow-strike technique?!*

Staring at Maeve’s oncoming elbow, The Deep’s face turned pale.

*Maeve, please, not the elbow.*

*Bang!* A heart-seeking elbow strike sent The Deep flying, pinning him directly against the wall.

Eight of his ribs on the right side shattered, and one bone even pierced through his flesh—a horrifying sight.

But The Deep grinned.

Still alive!

Heh!

Besides, Maeve had deliberately avoided his heart; she had no intention of actually killing him.

Actually, Maeve felt a bit of pity.

She wasn’t naturally sadistic or bloodthirsty, and down in her bones, she still retained a shred of kindness.

Anyone looking at The Deep’s wretched state would feel some sympathy.

Her strikes would usually soften up, and her speed would slow down.

But every single time, The Deep managed to reignite her rage.

For instance, right now, she was kindly trying to push his protruding rib back into his body when this dog, taking advantage of her distraction, licked her right on the face.

Just like a golden retriever, he swept his large tongue from her chin all the way up to her eyes.

He even got saliva in her eye.

“Fuck!”

Maeve delivered a heavy punch that smashed The Deep’s head straight into the drywall.

The man’s legs twitched once, and he finally went quiet.

In the end, it was Maeve who pulled him out of the wall bit by bit.

She muttered helplessly, “Deep, can you stop being so disgusting?”

With shattered ribs, his head nearly split open, and barely a patch of unblemished skin left on his body, The Deep still forced a brilliant smile.

“Maeve, you know men are only well-behaved when they’re pinned to the wall.”

The Deep strained to lift one finger that could still move freely, slowly pointing it toward her.

Speechless, Maeve quietly waited until his finger touched her nose with a soft boop, and only then did she snap it.

…

Vought International Vice President’s Office.

Madelyn called Homelander in.

“The Deep told me.

The crash of the Baltimore mayor’s private plane was no accident.

He found two cuts on the wreckage, spaced exactly like a pair of human eyes.

Homelander, do you think you need to explain this to me?”

Madelyn’s tone carried a hint of accusation.

She hadn’t ordered Homelander to eliminate the mayor of Baltimore.

This was entirely Homelander acting on his own.

Not only did he ruin a $230 million contract for the company, but he had also killed a mayor—the mayor of Maryland’s largest city.

If this ever got out, the perfect superhero image she had built for Homelander would be completely destroyed, and it could even threaten Vought’s stock price.

What Madelyn needed was a well-behaved, obedient superhero, not the one standing in front of her…

Filled with anger, Madelyn looked up to lock eyes with Homelander.

She saw Homelander pursing his lips.

As her gaze fell upon him, he actually turned his head away in shame, yet he still stole glances at her out of the corner of his eye.

How was he any different from a Samoyed that had torn up the house during the day, now shivering in the corner waiting for its owner to come home?

“Oh, my John.”

Madelyn stood up, calling Homelander’s real name.

She gently pulled his head into her chest and softly patted his back.

At this moment, Madelyn’s maternal instincts overflowed like the Amazon River.

“Madelyn, I’m sorry,” Homelander sobbed softly, pressing against her chest.

“No!

I was too harsh just now.

My baby, let me make it up to you.”

Madelyn led Homelander over to the sofa nearby and sat down.

Homelander lay with his head on her lap, curling his entire body up like a baby.

Madelyn gazed tenderly at Homelander resting on her lap, unbuttoning a button on her shirt.

“Baby!”

“Mom!”
