A middle-aged police officer, wearing a bulletproof vest, quickly stepped forward to greet them.

His eyes shone brightly, but that brightness was not due to the fanaticism of seeing a superhero, but rather the relief of seeing reinforcements.

Homelander, with his cape on, stepped forward and patted the officer on the shoulder.Full novel: The Boys: Hi, I’m Soldier boy — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The force wasn’t much, but when he patted him, the old policeman’s shoulder didn’t move; he was a steady man.

“Captain,”

Homelander’s voice was not loud, but clear enough for the surrounding officers to hear.

“You are the true heroes.

We are just here to play a supporting role.

Now, where is the gunman?”

The officer felt flattered, his eyes full of emotion; this was a superhero, and he himself had called him a hero.

“Oh, God, please, can you stop making that face like you’re about to get into bed?”

Benjamin commented.

Homelander was also stunned for a moment.

The officer was also stunned, but quickly said: “The gunman is on the thirty-first floor, and our men have blocked all exits on the ground floor.”

Benjamin nodded and turned to look at Homelander.

“Take me up, to the thirty-first floor.”

“Understood.”

Homelander reached out and grabbed Benjamin by the waist, in the same posture as when they arrived, bent his knees slightly, and leaped off the ground.

A blast of air burst into the street, ruffling several reporters who were too close to a bird’s nest, and a police hat that wasn’t secured properly flew off, spinning three or four times in the air before its owner jumped to catch it.

The crowd erupted again in deafening cheers, with countless mobile phones aimed at the red and green trajectory ascending vertically.

Homelander’s gaze locked onto the thirty-first floor window the moment they approached.

Benjamin used the front edge of his shield to break the window.

The two landed in the hallway one after another, their boots making a slight crunch as they stepped on the broken glass.

The door leading to the main office area was wide open.

Inside there were two robbers.

Their weapon setup wasn’t bad.

The leader turned his head first and saw the two figures who shouldn’t have been in the doorway.

His pupils went from anger to fear in a fraction of a second.

“Shit…”

He didn’t manage to finish the second syllable.

Homelander appeared in front of him in an instant, one hand gripping the barrel of his rifle, crushing the metal like paper in his palm.

“Fuck, that’s fucking fast.”

Benjamin couldn’t help but curse; didn’t he already have Super Speed Level 1?

However, he could barely distinguish Homelander’s figure.

But of course, Homelander’s super speed was probably level 5, almost the same speed as A-Train.

Homelander was very happy because he thought Benjamin was complimenting him.

With his other hand, he crushed the leader’s chest, pushed him off the conference table, and threw him to the floor.

The leader struggled to get up.

“If I were you, I’d stay down; otherwise, if you’re not careful, your head will be crushed like a watermelon.”

Benjamin raised his foot threateningly.

The leader immediately closed his eyes.

Immediately after.

Benjamin watched Homelander take down the second robber.

Another teleportation.

Damn it, that super speed again. The source of this chapter is novelpin‌g.com.

Benjamin had the feeling that Homelander was trying to show off in front of him; that efficiency in taking down the robbers…

Both robbers had been subdued, they were still alive, their limbs still attached, they had simply lost the ability to resist and lay curled up on the floor, writhing in pain.

Homelander stood up and looked at Benjamin.

His blue eyes shone brightly.

Benjamin nodded, in approval.

Homelander saw it, and standing there, he felt even happier.

“The hostages are safe, the robbers are under control.

Let the police SWAT team take over.”

Benjamin pressed his communicator and said.

When the two exited through the building’s main entrance, the cheers on both sides of the street were almost enough to overturn the entire Madison Avenue.

The officer came forward to greet them, and Homelander stepped forward and patted him on the shoulder again.

“Hero, it’s your turn to shine.”

Then Homelander took Benjamin and launched him into the air.

That afternoon, in Madelyn Stillwell’s office at Vought Tower.

On the tablet in front of her, a video of the mission scene was playing on a loop.

The father-son duo advancing in unison, with efficient and non-lethal control, and the cheers they received upon exiting the building.

She closed the video, leaned back in her chair, and closed her eyes.

Vought got everything it wanted from this mission, but the better they worked together and the more the public adored this father-son duo, the fewer options Vought had.

She needed to think of a way to control Homelander.

Madelyn Stillwell thought to herself, but for the moment, she really didn’t have any good ideas.

It was already good enough that Homelander wasn’t killing her right now.

The images of the father-son duo were replayed repeatedly on the internet, and the view count kept increasing…
