Immediately after, a faint, ghostly blue light lit up in the darkness.

The light expanded rapidly, forming a massive, translucent holographic panel that was forcibly branded into the depths of Lucas’s not-yet-dissipated consciousness.

]

[ Source of fatal blow: physical crushing.

]

[ Judgment: Death.

]

[ Activation conditions met.

]

[ Supreme Authority System, officially bound.

]

Lucas’s consciousness fluctuated violently.

“System?”

“What the hell, that’s a ridiculously long reaction time!

Did you have to wait until I was smashed into pulp before showing up?”

On the ghostly blue panel, lines of data flowed down rapidly like a waterfall.

[ Scanning current world power system…

]

[ Scan complete.

The Boys universe, source of power: compound v.

]

[ Establishing combat power evaluation reference models…

]

Several familiar names appeared on the panel, along with strings of despair-inducing numbers.

[ Reference Model 1: Average Adult Male (Baseline) ]

[ Strength: 10 ] (Level of carrying two bags of rice)

[ Speed: 10 ] (Speed of catching a bus)

[ Physical Durability: 10 ] (Will bleed when stabbed, will die if hit by a car)

[ Mental Power: 10 ] (Will feel sleepy staying up late, will feel scared watching horror movies)

[ Recovery: 10 ] (Takes days for a cut finger to heal)

[ Reference Model 2: A-Train ]

[ Status: Severe compound v addiction ]

[ Strength: 500 ] (Can easily smash through brick walls)

[ Speed: 20000 ] (Supersonic cruising, impossible for ordinary people to track with the naked eye)

[ Physical Durability: 5000 ] (Can withstand air friction and impact from ultra-high-speed movement)

[ Mental Power: 1000 ] (Extremely anxious, mentally fragile)

[ Recovery: 3000 ] (Fractures can heal within days, but heart damage is difficult to reverse)

[ Reference Model 3: Soldier Boy ]

[ Status: compound v ]

[ Strength: 20000 ] (Can flip a main battle tank with bare hands, punch through a bunker)

[ Speed: 800 ] (Linear sprint far exceeds ordinary people, but not known for speed)

[ Physical Durability: 20000 ] (Invulnerable, ignores conventional thermal weapons, internal organs are equally tough)

[ Mental Power: 8000 ] (Suffers from severe PTSD, irritable, but has an extremely tenacious will)

[ Recovery: 12000 ] (Cannot regenerate severed limbs, but severe burns/penetrating wounds can heal rapidly)

[ Reference Model 4: Homelander ]

[ Status: compound v perfect fusion/Extreme narcissist ]

[ Strength: 18000 ] (Theoretically can lift a passenger plane, crush steel with a flick of his hand)

[ Speed: 18000 ] (Flies by breaking the sound barrier, extremely high mobility)

[ Physical Durability: 18000 ] (Ignores all known conventional/nuclear weapon strikes, skin is indestructible)

[ Mental Power: 10000 ] (Extremely egocentric, possesses devastating Laser Eyes and super senses, but is internally extremely fragile and starved for love)

[ Recovery: 10000 ] (Extremely difficult to injure, once injured, cell division speed is extremely fast)

Looking at these figures, Lucas’s fuzzy mass of consciousness couldn’t help but twitch.

“This is simply not a creature of the same dimension.”

Ordinary people have values of 10 across the board.

Yet that Homelander flying in the sky has values of eighteen thousand.

That’s a difference of eighteen hundred times!

If Homelander is the sun, then ordinary people aren’t even dust on the ground; at best, they’re microbes.

They wouldn’t even feel it if they were crushed to death.

This is the despair of this world.

[ Loading host initial panel…

]

The panel flickered and switched to Lucas’s personal interface.

[ Name: Lucas ]

[ Race: Human (Mutating) ]

[ Current Status: Dead (Reconstituting) ]

[ Initial Attributes: ]

[ Strength: 10 ]

[ Speed: 10 ]

[ Physical Durability: 10 ]

[ Mental Power: 10 ]

Lucas rolled his eyes in his mind.

As expected.

A pure “combat power of five” loser, standard NPC configuration.

In front of this group of monsters, he didn’t even have the right to run away.

However, when his gaze landed on the last line, his whole being (or rather, his entire consciousness) froze instantly.

The data on that line didn’t stop at a pathetic “10” like the previous items.

It was jumping frantically.

100…

1000…

10000…

99999…

The speed of the numbers jumping became faster and faster, so fast that they even left afterimages.

Finally.

The jumping numbers shattered with a bang and turned into a horizontal “8”.

[ Recovery: ∞ (Infinite) / Absolute Immortality ]

[ Passive Skill Judgment: Absolute Immortality.

Regardless of what form of physical, chemical, energy, or mental destruction is suffered, the host will instantly reconstitute their body and soul, restoring to peak condition.

Note: This recovery process cannot be interrupted and cannot be reversed.

]

“In…

Infinite?”

Lucas was stunned.

He thought he was just cannon fodder.

He didn’t expect the system to issue him a “get out of jail free” card.

No, this wasn’t a “get out of jail free” card; this was tearing up the King of Hell’s Book of Life and Death!

[ Host’s core ability detected as awakened.

Distributing novice compensation and core growth rules.

]

[ Rule 1: Daily Gift.

]

[ At midnight every day, the system will automatically distribute 10 free attribute points.

The host can freely allocate them to the four basic attributes: Strength, Speed, Physical Durability, and Mental Power.

]

[ Rule 2: Kill and Loot.

]

[ As long as the host kills a Supes with their own hands (must be the final kill judgment), they can 100% strip their core superpower and obtain an “enhanced” evolution of that ability.

]

[ Hint: Host’s physical body reconstitution countdown…

]

The darkness retreated instantly.

In its place was a strange feeling that was hard to describe in words.

It was like countless tiny nano-scalpels were stitching his broken bones, blood vessels, and nerves back together at the speed of light.

The internal organs that had been crushed into pulp seemed to turn back time, reassembling, forming, and beating once again.

There was no pain.

Only a tingling sensation similar to an electric current passing through his entire body.

“Clatter—”

Lucas opened his eyes abruptly, breathing in the air that smelled of gunpowder smoke in large gulps.

He stood up from the ruins.

He looked down at his hands.

Long and strong.

The fingers that should have been smashed into mush were now intact and undamaged.

Even the dust under his fingernails had been cleaned away completely.

He touched his chest, neck, and head.

No wounds.

No fractures.

Not even the slightest scratch.

Even more bizarrely, the old jacket he was wearing, which had been covered in his own blood and flesh, now had those stains evaporating and disappearing at a speed visible to the naked eye, as if they had been directly erased by some invisible force.

In less than ten seconds.

He went from a dead man smashed into mush to a living person whose clothes were as good as new.

“Absolute Immortality…

Instant recovery…”

Lucas muttered to himself, his voice hoarse.

He clenched his fists.

Although his strength was still a pathetic 10 points, he could feel the endless, seemingly inexhaustible life force within his body.

He raised his head and looked again at the dazzling blue figure in the distant sky.

Homelander’s speech seemed to have reached its end.

He was raising his arms high, enjoying the cheers of the crowd below as if they were worshipping a god.

[ Homelander.

Strength: 18000.

Speed: 18000.

Physical Durability: 18000.

Mental Power: 10000.

]

The system panel data flashed through his mind again.

The corners of Lucas’s mouth slowly curled into an extremely complex arc.

It was three parts mockery, three parts vigilance, and four parts near-manic excitement forcibly suppressed in the depths of his eyes.

In this damn world, he finally had the capital to survive.

10 free attribute points every day.

Doesn’t sound like much.

Compared to Homelander’s 18000, it was a drop in the bucket.

But what about ten days?

One hundred days?

A year?

Three years?

As long as he lived long enough.

As long as he didn’t die.

One day, these 10 attribute points he added casually every day would converge into a vast ocean capable of submerging everything.

Not to mention the tempting “Kill and Loot” rule.

Kill a Supes, and he could obtain an enhanced version of their ability.

This meant that all the Supes in this world, whether it was the arrogant “The Seven” or those perverts hiding in the shadows, would no longer be high and mighty gods in his eyes.

They were—

Walking experience packs.

“However…”

Lucas quickly calmed down.

Although he couldn’t die now.

He was too weak.

Strength 10, Speed 10.

If he ran out now and pointed at Homelander’s nose and cursed, Homelander indeed couldn’t kill him.

But he would be sliced into pieces by Homelander’s Laser Eyes, then resurrect again and again, only to be sliced up again.

Or, Vought International would discover him, this “unkillable” monster.

They would capture him, lock him in the bottom-most dungeon of the Sacred Heart Psychiatric Hospital, and use various instruments to slice and study him every day, leaving him unable to live but unable to die.

In this world, sometimes, “not being able to die” is a hundred times more terrifying than “dying.”

“Lay low.

Must lay low.”

Lucas took a deep breath, completely hiding the madness in his eyes.

The timeline was confirmed.

Early Season 1.

All the chaos and madness had just begun.

That bunch of lunatics led by Billy Butcher were probably secretly planning how to take down Vought International.

Starlight, that sweet, naive girl, was probably still dreaming of being a hero who saves the world, preparing to jump into the cesspool that was “The Seven.”

And he, Lucas, an ordinary person holding infinite resurrection coins and a stat-leveling system.

He didn’t need to rush to be some savior, nor did he need to be some world-destroying demon king.

He just needed to lurk in the shadows of this city like a ghost.

Clock in every day, add stats.

Then, wait for those Supes who were alone, seriously injured, or beaten half-to-death by The Boys.

Finish them off.

Loot.

Get stronger.

Until his stats piled up to a number that even Homelander would have to look up to.

In the distance, Homelander finished his speech, turned into a blue and red afterimage, and vanished into the horizon accompanied by the sonic boom of breaking the sound barrier.

The crowd began to disperse gradually.

The police and the Vought International security personnel cleaning up the scene began to put up cordon lines.

Lucas brushed the dust off his jacket.

“Find a place to add today’s 10 attribute points first.” Lucas muttered to himself, hands in his jacket pockets, head down, walking quickly along the shadows of the alley in the opposite direction of the crowd.
