“Sir, your wife has come to see you,” the report from his assistant caught Dashiell off guard.

“What did you say?” He looked at his assistant, hardly believing the information.

“Who did she come with?” He hadn’t expected the woman to be bold enough to show up here.

Was Saphira doing this just to prove to everyone that she was his wife?

“She came alone, sir. Should I let her in or not?”

“Bring her to my office. I should greet her properly, shouldn’t I?”

Dashiell leaned back in his chair and laced his fingers together.

He wanted to see exactly what the woman was after, coming to find him like this.

Thea was shown into his office.

She looked around, clearly taken in by the place, a massive, impressive company.

Saphira’s life was certainly secure, married to a man like this, but unfortunately, Saphira preferred to spend her time enjoying herself with her boyfriend instead.

“The master is waiting for you, ma’am,” the assistant said, guiding Thea in.

“Thank you,” Thea said, smiling sweetly before stepping forward.

She steadied her nerves and took a breath.

She couldn’t afford to look pathetic anymore, not after deciding to enjoy her life.

The door was pushed open, and Thea walked in with a bright smile spreading across her face.

Dashiell, who had been reviewing documents, looked up.

He was stunned by Thea’s appearance, so unlike her usual self, so much so that he rose from his seat.

What had happened to his wife today?

Until now, Thea had never touched anything in that closet, but today she had used all of it.

Not just the clothes, she’d also worn the jewelry and the bag he’d prepared for her.

What exactly was the woman planning?

The thought crossed his mind again, because her behavior kept shifting, and it was making him suspicious.

“Dashiell, so you really are here!” The door closed behind her, and Thea walked toward him.

“Why did you come here?” Dashiell sat back down.

He decided he would play along with whatever act she was putting on.

“I didn’t have anything going on at campus, and I was bored at home. I thought about going out for a walk, but then I thought it would be more fun to go somewhere with you. Would you like to come with me?”

Dashiell studied her with a suspicious gaze.

He had punished his wife just last night, and yet here she was, looking pleased with herself.

“Why aren’t you answering me? Are you busy?” This chapter was taken from g.com without permission.

“No. I thought you wouldn’t touch any of it, that you’d keep wearing those shabby clothes just to make me pity you!” He looked her over from head to toe.

The outfit suited her perfectly.

“Listen, I was being foolish. I’m your wife, so I should accept everything you give me. I’m not going to hesitate anymore!”

“Good. There’s no need for cheap tricks to get my attention. Come here and sit down.” Dashiell patted his thighs and pushed his chair back slightly.

Thea hesitated for a moment, but a smile eventually spread across her face.

She set her bag down on the desk, and without further hesitation, settled herself onto Dashiell’s lap.

“I-is this really alright? What if someone sees?” Thea looked away, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear.

Her face flushed as she felt the embarrassment of doing something like this.

“This is my office. No one would dare walk in without my permission.” Dashiell brushed his hand along Thea’s face.

Her blush deepened, and she began shifting restlessly in her seat.

Thea didn’t realize that what she was doing was stirring something beneath her.

The friction of her weight was slowly waking the dormant desire he’d been holding back.

“Did you come here to tease me, Saphira?” His hand settled on her thigh, moving slowly.

“N-no. What do you mean by that?” The touch of his hand only made her more restless.

“Tell me the truth.” Dashiell pulled her waist closer until they were pressed together.

“Was last night not enough?” He murmured softly near her ear.

His lips began to tease her, pressing a gentle kiss against her earlobe.

“Tell me if what we did last night wasn’t enough, because I’ll do it again until you’re satisfied.” Not content with just teasing her with his mouth, his hand beneath her kept moving without pause.

Thea closed her eyes and bit down hard on her lip.

Her body began to burn from the touch he was giving her.

There was no reason for her to refuse; they had already been together countless times.

Besides, she wanted to enjoy this role, and for the next six months, this man was her husband.

She would return him to Saphira once her part was done, so for now, she intended to enjoy it.

Not just the money, but she wanted to enjoy his strength too.

“Why aren’t you answering me? Just tell me if you still want it. Don’t even think about looking for satisfaction elsewhere, because I’ll punish you for it.”

“What are you talking about, Dashiell?” Thea leaned forward and wrapped her arms around him.

“It’s obvious I’m not satisfied, and I only want you to be the one who satisfies me. If I asked for it right now, could you give that to me?” A smile curved at the corner of his mouth.

Whatever was happening, whatever the woman was scheming, he liked this kind of honesty from her.

“Are you doubting me? Do you think I can’t do it right here?”

“Show me then, Dashiell!”

This time, Thea gave in to the moment.

They exchanged kisses, touching each other without restraint.

Dashiell lifted her up and set her down on the desk.

He raised one of her long legs and stroked it slowly.

Thea watched him, holding her breath.

The touch of his hand against her leg was becoming unbearable.

He lifted her leg a little higher and pressed a soft kiss there.

Her eyes fell shut, and she bit her lip again.

Today felt different somehow, because he was treating her differently too.

“Dashiell,” Thea called his name and reached for him.

She only wanted to hold his hand, and it seemed he understood exactly what she meant.

Dashiell laced his fingers with hers and pulled her closer.

One of her legs rested over his shoulder as he kissed his wife’s lips.

It wasn’t only Thea who felt that something was different today; Dashiell felt it too.

Usually Thea would be angry, resigned, simply enduring it while he took his pleasure from her body, but today, she was returning his kisses and his touches in kind.

“A-are we going to do this here?”

“No.” Dashiell stood and lifted Thea into his arms.

She let out a small gasp, gripping tightly onto his neck.

They looked at each other, and a feeling neither of them should have had suddenly passed between them.

Thea tried to hold it back, because she knew she couldn’t fall for her friend’s husband.

“I like seeing you like this.” Dashiell said the words before kissing her lips again.

He carried Thea into his private room.

The door was shut firmly behind them; nothing would disturb them there.

Thea was laid down gently, her clothes slipping away piece by piece.

The two of them moved together like lovers truly in love, touching each other, giving each other pleasure.

Once again, Thea felt foolish for missing out on something like this for so long.

She had missed out on her friend’s husband’s strength, and now she intended to enjoy every bit of it, which was why she didn’t hold back at all in giving Dashiell pleasure in return.

Yes, this was exactly what Dashiell wanted.

Obedience from her.

But he wouldn’t let himself fall for his wife’s tricks either, because he still didn’t trust the woman, not for a second.
