Before the boy named Yozaro…

He was an ordinary 16-year-old high school student living on Earth.

What fascinated him most were ancient civilizations, forgotten myths, and stories of magic.

Whenever he had free time, he read about lost kingdoms, mysterious ruins, and legends from around the world.

During his summer vacation, he joined a hiking trip into a remote mountain range that few people visited.

The locals warned everyone not to wander away from the marked trails.

“Some places should remain forgotten.”

Most ignored the warning.

But curiosity drew him deeper into the mountains.

While exploring alone, he discovered a narrow crack hidden behind a waterfall.

It led into a vast underground cave unlike anything he had ever seen.

The walls were carved with symbols that no modern language resembled.

At the center of the cave stood seven enormous stone pillars arranged in a circle.

Each pillar bore the name of one of the Seven Deadly Sins:

Pride

Greed

Wrath

Envy

Lust

Gluttony

Sloth

Between them rested seven ancient books.

The pages looked impossibly old, yet when he opened them, the words were perfectly readable.

For days, he remained inside the cave, surviving on the fresh water flowing through it.

He became completely absorbed in the books.

They didn’t describe sins as simple evils.

Instead, they explained that every sin represented a powerful desire within the human soul.

If mastered rather than controlled by it, each could become an extraordinary source of strength.

The final pages described rituals, magical circles, and intricate patterns engraved into the cave floor and walls.

Driven by curiosity, he placed his hand on each engraved pattern one by one.

The moment he touched the seventh…

Every symbol in the cave lit up with crimson and golden light.

The books floated into the air.

Ancient voices echoed through the chamber.

“One who seeks to understand desire…”

“One who accepts every part of the soul…”

“The gate has opened.”

The ground began to shake violently.

Cracks spread across the ceiling.

Massive rocks crashed down around him.

He tried to escape, but the cave entrance had already collapsed.

The last thing he saw was the seven books dissolving into streams of light and flowing into his body.

A calm voice whispered in the darkness.

“Carry our legacy into another world.”

The mountain collapsed completely.

His heart stopped.

Everything faded into silence.

Then

He heard a woman’s gentle voice.

“Congratulations… it’s a healthy baby.”

He slowly opened his eyes.

Instead of a hospital…

He saw the wooden ceiling of a small house.

His body was tiny.

His hands belonged to an infant.

Outside the window, birds with glowing feathers flew across the sky, and two moons hung overhead.

At that moment, he realized one impossible truth.

He had died… and been reborn in another world.

Without knowing it, the knowledge of the Seven Deadly Sins had become engraved into his very soul.

His new name would be…

Yozaro
