“Damien,” Arthav said in a flat tone, clearly not pleased to see him.

“I thought you were in Europe; that’s why the invitation got only to your father, but if I had known, I would have sent it to you too.”

“Oh, don’t worry, my friend; Dad could not make it, but I am here, so don’t feel bad.”Full novel: The Curse Of Fallen Angel — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Arhtav smiled lightly and shot him with a blank stare.

“And who is this gorgeous lady beside you looking like a goddess?” Damian asked, taking her hand gently; he pressed a slow kiss on her knuckles while maintaining eye contact.

“That’s my wife.”

He pulled Reiha’s hand away from Damian’s grasp and slid his hand on her waist and pulled her closer to him.

Reiha looked at him, but she chose not to react to Arthav.

She didn’t want the third person to know about their little revenge secret.

So she let him hold her in front of Damian.

“A pleasure meeting you, Mrs. Advani.”

Reiha smiled formally, but she immediately sensed the tension between them.

“I must say, you’re the most stunning woman here tonight.” Damien lifted his gaze toward Arthav and gave a provoking smile that rested on his lips.

“You never mentioned your wife is this beautiful.”

Arthav stepped forward; in a dangerous, cold voice, he said.

“And you’re staring at her longer than necessary.”

“Relax, Arthav, I am just complimenting, and if nobody compliments her, a lady looking this hot is a waste of her beauty.”

Arhtav’s jaw tightened.

“Watch your words. Or you might lose your tooth, Damian…”

However, Damian didn’t look bothered by Arthav threatening him.

Shamelessly, he let his gaze travel over her deep-neck dress.

“I must say,” he murmured, “Arthav has been hiding a masterpiece from the world.”

Reiha’s brows furrowed slightly at his bold comment.

Beside her, Arthav’s expression darkened immediately; it was clearly visible in his eyes.

Damian was a few comments away from getting hit.

Arthav’s hand around her waist tightened.

Damien smirked.

“You know, half the men in this hall have forgotten their business deals the moment she walked in.” “And yet,” Damien added while looking directly at her waist, “you don’t seem impressed by any of them. That’s rare.”

“You married the wrong guy, Mrs. Advani.

“That’s enough.” Arthav shot him with an icy gaze.

He took a step close to Damian, looked him in the eyes, and shot him a dangerous glare.

The air in the hall had gone completely silent now.

Arthav’s eyes alone were enough to break the silence.

They looked ready to kill each other with their eyes alone—guns weren’t even necessary.

“You’re testing my patience,” Arthav said quietly.

Danian broke the eye contact first; he smiled, scratching his chin.

“Fine… fine, don’t give your blank stare.”

Damian held out his hand towards Reiha.

“One dance, Mrs. Advani,” he said, smirking.

“I am sure Arthav won’t mind. He is not that insecure, is he?”

His gaze traveled to Arthav.

The corner of his lips twitched.

“Or are you scared,” he added, “that I might steal your wife?”

Arthav took a deep breath, and his hand clenched into a fist.

Reiha looked at Damian’s hand, which was still hanging in the air waiting for hers.

She laughed lightly.

“You seem like a person who is interested in another man’s wife,” Reiha said coolly.

“Tell me, Mr. Damien… is chasing things that don’t belong to you your hobby, or just your specialty?”

The teasing smile on Damian’s face, which was resting there from the moment he entered the hall, faded as he listened to her reply.

Reiha took one step closer to him and looked him into his eyes.

“And even if I wanted attention from men at this party, I wouldn’t choose the one trying this hard.”

Some guests near them were listening to their conversation; the guy in the navy blue suit laughed lightly, hiding his amusement.

Damien’s jaw tightened.

Arthav bit back a smile.

“You’ve got quite a mouth,” Damian muttered.

Reiha crossed her arms.

“And you’ve got very low dignity.”

Damian let out a mocking laugh and chuckled, “You’re talking about dignity, huh…. A woman who dressed like a whore—”

That was it.

He didn’t even get the chance to finish his words.

Arthav punched him in the face.

His punch sent Damian stumbling a few steps backward.

He lifted his head slowly, glaring at Arthav with furious eyes.

Damian spat blood into his palm, and along with it fell a broken tooth resting against his hand.

Damian stared at his broken tooth for a second and then let out a dark laugh, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth. New chapters come out on novelping.com first.

“You cunt.”

He stormed toward Arthav.

In the next second, Damien grabbed Arthav harshly by the collar.

Arthav also grabbed damian by his collar

“You want to die?” Damian growled.

“I think you are,” Arthav growled back.

Around them, nobody dared interfere.

Even the bodyguards standing nearby hesitated for a second, clearly aware that one wrong move could turn the party into complete chaos.

Sensing the situation getting out of control, guards immediately rushed forward to them.

“Sir—”

“Master Damian”

“Mr. Advani—”

Two guards tried pulling Arthav away, but the grip he had on Damien’s collar was impossibly tight.

His knuckles had turned white from the force.

No matter how much they tried, Arthav refused to let go.

Damien’s bodyguards stepped in as well, grabbing Damien by the arms while shouting at Arthav to back off.

But neither of them moved.

The tension had become suffocating.

Guests slowly stepped farther away, terrified the fight was about to explode into something worse.

They were very sure that this grip will only loosened after killing each other

“Arthav.” Reiha’s voice cut through the chaos.

Reiha quickly stepped between the guards and grabbed Arthav’s wrist.

“Arthav,” she said again, softer this time.

Arthav looked at her; his eyes softened the moment he saw her.

“Let him go, Arthav,” she said.

“Please leave him.”

Arthav exhaled deeply, then slowly he loosened his grip on Damian’s collar.

Damian exhaled, fixing his crumpled collar.

He said, “You got weak, Arthav; now a woman controlled you.

“Fuck you,” Reiha snapped, glaring straight into Damian’s eyes.

Then she turned to Arthav, grabbed his wrist, and dragged him toward the study.
