After that day, Shen Yanyan hadn’t come looking for Sang Yu for several days, which gave her rare peace. Aside from attending classes, she spent her time working part-time at the internet cafe.

Sang Yu typed the last line of code and stretched. This project was finally finished.

After saving and double-checking the code, she confirmed with the client and sent over the completed task. Just as she switched pages, an irritating voice sounded beside her.Full novel: The Dark and Brooding Big Shot’s Little Fairy is Super Flirty — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Hey classmate, get me two packs of cigarettes.”

Sang Yu looked up and recognized the person who had been with Huo Yan that day.

“What kind?” Sang Yu operated the computer while giving Wang Yang a casual glance.

It was a normal exchange of glances, but once Wang Yang met Sang Yu’s eyes, he found himself unable to look away.

He had seen many beautiful girls of all types. But someone like Sang Yu—with just one look, one casual glance—could seemingly capture a person’s soul.

“Any two packs will do. I trust your taste, classmate.”

Ignoring the teasing in Wang Yang’s eyes, Sang Yu picked two moderately priced cigarette packs and entered them into the system. “That’ll be 62.”

Wang Yang paid but didn’t leave immediately. Leaning one arm on the counter, he smoothed his hair and put on what he thought was a charming pose.

“Classmate, do you have a boyfriend?”

“That’s not within my job responsibilities,” Sang Yu replied without looking at him, dismissing his words as mere flirtation. It wasn’t until she noticed Wang Yang’s wandering hand moving toward her in her peripheral vision that she finally looked away from the computer.

Her delicate brows furrowed as she stepped back. “Please behave yourself.”

Wang Yang watched Sang Yu, thinking even her anger was captivating. He completely forgot what Zhang Qile had told him that day—now his entire focus was on winning over the girl before him.

“Be my girlfriend, classmate! I’ll make sure you live comfortably—no need to work so hard at this internet cafe!”

Wang Yang closed in on Sang Yu. Others in the internet cafe began noticing the commotion. Most male students recognized Wang Yang and didn’t dare interfere.

As for the female students, Sang Yu’s beauty alone was enough to make them jealous. Few considered helping—most were just watching the drama unfold.

Sang Yu retreated further, her expression turning cold. Her hands clenched behind her back as she watched Wang Yang’s lecherous smile, a flash of menace passing through her eyes.

If these hands are useless, they might as well be broken.

Completely unaware of the danger, Wang Yang reached out to touch Sang Yu’s face. But when his hand was just a fist’s distance away, another hand intercepted it.

“Who the hell—Yan, Yan Ge?”

The hand gripping Wang Yang’s wrist had distinct knuckles and a sickly pale complexion. The fingers tightened gradually, and Wang Yang’s surprised expression slowly twisted into one of pain. His face turned crimson, features contorting as he nearly curled into a ball from the agony.

Sang Yu looked at Huo Yan, noticing his gaze fixed on Wang Yang—like he was looking at a dead man, devoid of any vitality.

Huo Yan twisted his wrist and slammed Wang Yang to the ground. Then, in full view of everyone, he began punching the figure on the floor.

Each strike was merciless. Huo Yan’s face showed a terrifying ferocity that shocked everyone present. No one had expected—Wang Yang least of all—that Huo Yan would attack him so publicly.

Madman! He’s completely insane!

Everyone stared in shock at the scene, but no one dared to step forward. Sang Yu snapped back to reality and saw Wang Yang, who was barely breathing and struggling to make a sound, and Huo Yan, who still wanted to continue beating him. She finally reacted and hurried forward to grab his hand.

“Brother Yan! I’m fine, I’m fine, stop hitting him!”

Huo Yan’s punching hand was held by Sang Yu, forcing him to stop. When he turned to look at her, the redness in his eyes hadn’t faded yet. The moment his gaze landed on you, it felt like being targeted by a wild beast, as if you would become his next prey.

But Sang Yu wasn’t afraid. She held Huo Yan’s hand tightly, not caring that it was covered in blood. Others looked at Huo Yan as if he were a monster—fearful, wary, and unwilling to approach.

Yet Sang Yu only felt heartache for him. Her eyes glistened with unshed tears as she softly comforted him, never letting go of his hand.

“It’s alright now, really alright. He didn’t touch me. Are you hurt? Let me apply some medicine for you, okay?”

After saying this, Sang Yu tentatively tried to lead Huo Yan away.

Fortunately, though Huo Yan looked terrifying at this moment, he was surprisingly obedient, allowing Sang Yu to pull him along as they left.

Only after Huo Yan had gone did the remaining people breathe a sigh of relief. Looking at the unconscious Wang Yang, someone finally called an ambulance to take him to the hospital.

Sang Yu led Huo Yan away from the internet cafe, went to the nearest pharmacy to buy some antiseptic and bandages, and then headed to a park near the school.
