Chapter 25: The Rise of the Astral Monarch

The Dense Realm Art

The purple wound in the sky above the Sky-Pillar Metropolis began to contract, its jagged spatial edges groaning under an immense, unnatural tension.

At the base of the rift, suspended on a floating marble platform, stood Patriarch Huo of the Crimson Solar Sect alongside three corrupt high council elders. Behind them stood fifty elite solar enforcers, their blades drawn, their faces set in cruel, expectant grins.

"The Tomb is collapsing from within!" Patriarch Huo barked, his voice filled with dark triumph as he looked up at the tearing sky. "The trash from Azure Cloud and his icy companion are dead! Prepare the suppression seals—the moment the spatial core spills out, we claim it for the Crimson Solar Sect!"

The gathered crowds across the Sky-Pillar docks watched in tense, fearful silence. The ambient pressure radiating from the sky was suffocating, as if the heavens themselves were about to drop a mountain onto the city.

Then, the purple rift stopped tearing.

It didn't explode. It didn't collapse.

Instead, the swirling spatial tornados within the rift were violently flattened, smoothed out like silk under a hot iron. A single figure stepped out of the open void onto the thin air of the Upper Realm.

Ren walked forward with effortless, silent steps.

His black-and-gold Young Master robes had transformed, infused with deep violet silk threads that faintly shifted like a star-filled cosmos. His long black hair floated in a perpetual, gravity-defying drift around his shoulders. Most terrifying of all were his eyes—deep, unblinking spheres of cosmic violet light that carried the crushing, undeniable weight of an ancient world.

Behind him walked Lin Xiu, her icy blade sheathed, her posture calm and proud.

"Impossible..." Patriarch Huo gasped, stumbling back half a step as his fiery aura involuntarily shrank toward his body in sheer self-preservation. "He... he survived the collapse?!"

Ren didn't drop down to the platform. He descended through the air as if walking down a flight of stone stairs, every step unleashing a quiet, resonant pulse that made the seven massive sky-pillars hum in resonance.

Monarch Domain: Sovereign Firmament.

The moment Ren’s boot touched the platform, an invisible, absolute weight slammed across the entire metropolis.

BOOM!

The fifty elite crimson enforcers didn't even have time to scream. Their knees snapped violently, smashing through the stone platform as fifty times their normal mass dragged them face-first into the dirt. Their weapons shattered into iron splinters under their own weight.

The three corrupt council elders gasped, their spirit pathways groaning as their Monarch-level cultivation bases were forcefully pinned inside their dantians, rendered completely inert.

Patriarch Huo shrieked, unleashing every ounce of his peak Monarch Solar Fire to resist the drag. Red flames erupted around him, but the moment they met Ren's atmosphere, the fire flattened into a harmless, two-dimensional ring of dead sparks before vanishing into Ren's skin.

Ren stopped three feet from Patriarch Huo. He didn't raise his hand. He didn't draw a blade.

He simply looked at Huo.

"You spent a century building a mountain of fire," Ren said, his voice quiet, yet echoing across every corner of the seven sky-pillars like thunder rolling through a cavern. "And you forgot that the earth beneath your mountain belongs to me."

Spatial Anchor: Absolute Erasure.

Ren shifted his internal singularity by a fraction of a millimeter.

Patriarch Huo’s eyes bulged in horror as the internal mass of his dantian inverted. His peak Monarch core—the foundation of his lifelong arrogance—imploded quietly without a single flame escaping his lips.

Huo collapsed onto the stone floor, his spirit veins permanently crushed, his fiery red hair turning instantly white as he aged into a withered, power-stripped old man.

Silence—absolute, breathless silence—fell over the millions of cultivators watching from the docks, the plazas, and the high balconies.

The remaining six Council Monarchs descended from the Highest Pillar, landing on the platform and bowing their heads deeply before Ren.

"We welcome the return of the Astral Sovereign," the Head Sovereign declared, his voice trembling with genuine reverence as he offered the Council’s obsidian authority seal.

Ren looked past the kneeling Monarchs, his dark violet eyes piercing through the clouds toward the distant, grand continent of the Central Sovereign Empire.

"From this day forth, the Seven Sky-Pillars are renamed the Firmament Realm," Ren commanded, his voice carrying the absolute law of a monarch. "Lin Xiu shall serve as Grand Chancellor."

Ren looked up into the endless starry expanse above, where the Imperial Vanguard would soon arrive.

"Let the Central Empire come," Ren whispered, a dark, quiet smile touching his lips. "I am ready to weigh their empire."
