The rain poured relentlessly as Jasper Jean Mariano stepped inside her house after college.
The moment she entered, she froze.
Men dressed in black suits stood silently around the living room.
In the center sat a man wearing a tailored black suit, his long fingers resting on a leather folder.
Keifer Watson.
The man everyone feared.
jay frowned.
“Who are you?
And why are you in my house?”
Keifer slowly looked up, his cold eyes meeting hers.
Without saying a word, he pushed the folder across the table.
“Read it.”
Jasper opened it.
Her heart nearly stopped.
MARRIAGE CONTRACT
She looked at him in disbelief.
“You’ve got to be kidding.”
“I never joke.”
She threw the file back onto the table.
“I’m not marrying you.”
Keifer’s expression didn’t change.
He checked his watch.
“You have three minutes to decide.”
Jasper crossed her arms.
“Even if you waited three years, my answer would still be no.”
Keifer nodded once.
One of his bodyguards placed a tablet in front of her.
The screen showed her father tied to a chair in a warehouse, frightened but unharmed.
Jasper’s face turned pale.
“Dad…”
Tears filled her eyes.
She looked at Keifer.
“Please…
don’t hurt him.”
His voice remained calm.
“Your father owes me a debt he cannot repay.”
He stood and slowly walked toward her.
“I’m giving your family another option.”
He picked up the contract and handed her a pen.
“Sign it.”
Jasper stepped back.
“Why me?”
Keifer stared at her for a long moment.
“Because I chose you.”
“If you refuse…”
He glanced at the screen showing her father.
“…your father won’t survive the consequences of his debt.”
Jasper’s hands trembled.
She hated him.
She hated the contract.
But she loved her father more than anything.
With tears running down her cheeks, she signed her name.
Keifer closed the folder.
For the first time, a faint smile appeared on his face.
“Congratulations…”
He looked directly into her eyes.
“Mrs.
Watson.”
Jay glared at him.
“I will never love you.”
Keifer buttoned his coat and walked toward the door.
Without looking back, he said,
“I didn’t marry you for love.”
“From today onward…
you’re The Devil’s Contract Wife.”
The door closed behind him.
Jasper looked down at the signature on the contract.
In one moment…
Her life had changed forever.
