Chapter 4:The Devil’s Gambit

The Devil’s Reign:The first law of void

Hell had changed.

Not into chaos.

Not into ruin.

But into something far worse—

Routine.

Deep within the infernal palace, where screams once echoed like music—

There was now only one sound.

"Just one more kill... come on... come on—die!"

In a dim chamber lit by flickering hellfire, Lucifer leaned forward, eyes locked onto a glowing screen.

"YES—this is it—I'm about to be global rank one—"

The screen went black.

Silence.

"...What?"

A vein twitched on his forehead.

"...What?"

Then—

"WHICH IDIOT JUST RUINED MY GAME?!"

"I did."

Lucifer slowly turned.

Standing at the doorway—

Beelzebub.

"...Bub," Lucifer said flatly.

"Tell me you didn't just do that."

"I did."

Lucifer stared.

"...Why?"

Beelzebub walked in, unimpressed.

"Don't you think it's beneath you?" he said.

"Playing games for centuries?"

Lucifer casually tried to restart the device.

"I don't know," he shrugged.

"You tell me what I'm supposed to do."

Beelzebub's voice hardened.

"We should invade Heaven."

Lucifer paused.

"...Hmm."

Then shrugged again.

"I'd rather finish this match."

Beelzebub's eyes narrowed.

"This isn't a joke anymore."

Lucifer smirked.

"Or what?"

The temperature in the room dropped.

"Seems like you've forgotten who I am," Lucifer said quietly.

Beelzebub immediately lowered his head.

"My mistake... my lord."

Lucifer held the silence for a moment—

Then suddenly smiled.

"Relax. I don't suit being angry."

He leaned back.

"Let's just be friends."

Beelzebub didn't smile.

"Then let me be honest."

Lucifer raised an eyebrow.

"We're leaving Hell."

Silence.

Lucifer blinked.

"...What?"

"The six of us," Beelzebub continued. "We're done."

Lucifer sat up slowly.

"But... why?"

He actually looked confused.

"I gave you everything. Freedom. Power. Authority. Pieces of my crown."

Beelzebub's voice turned cold.

"And still... this is a prison."

The words lingered.

"Everyone here is trapped," he continued.

"The sinners. The demons. Even us."

He looked straight at Lucifer.

"How long do you think we can endure this?"

Lucifer leaned back again.

"If you want to leave... go."

He waved his hand dismissively.

"But the moment you step out—Heaven will hunt you."

Beelzebub didn't hesitate.

"Better to die than rot here."

Then he smirked slightly.

"And if we leave... you'll have to run Hell alone."

Lucifer froze.

"...Ah."

Beelzebub continued casually.

"You can't even manage one day without slacking."

Lucifer clicked his tongue.

"I'll just replace you."

Beelzebub laughed.

"With who?"

He stepped closer.

"Do you even realize how long it took to build us?"

Silence.

"And if we leave," he added, "Hell collapses into chaos."

Lucifer sighed.

"...You're really blackmailing me right now?"

Beelzebub didn't deny it.

Lucifer stared at the ceiling.

"...Troublesome."

Then—

Quietly—

"I can't defeat Father."

The room went still.

"What?" Beelzebub said.

"You heard me."

Lucifer's voice lost its usual playfulness.

"The Creator..."

From the shadows, Paimon stepped forward.

"...Explain."

Lucifer closed his eyes.

"He wasn't created by light or darkness."

"...He was born from the void itself."

Silence deepened.

"And everything else?" Lucifer continued.

"Light. Darkness. Balance."

He opened his eyes.

"He made those."

Leviathan muttered,

"...Then we never had a chance."

Despair filled the room.

Lucifer suddenly clapped his hands.

"Great! Then let's forget all that."

He grinned.

"Eat, drink, play games—enjoy eternity."

"No."

Asmodeus stepped forward.

"You have a plan."

Lucifer groaned.

"...You people are exhausting."

"And you're the smartest among us," Beelzebub added.

From the back, Mephistopheles smirked.

"So stop pretending."

Lucifer sighed.

"...Fine."

His eyes darkened.

"To defeat the Creator..."

He paused.

"We need the power of the void."

Silence.

"...What?" Paimon said.

"It's simple," Lucifer replied.

"The void created Him."

"So it can destroy Him."

Beelzebub frowned.

"And how exactly do we get that power?"

Lucifer shrugged.

"No idea."

"...Lucifer."

"Okay, okay!"

He raised his hands.

"We can't use it directly. We're already created beings."

"Our existence ties us to the Creator."

Beelzebub's eyes sharpened.

"...Then we break that link."

Lucifer looked at him.

"What if..." Beelzebub continued slowly,

"...someone reaches the void... and comes back?"

Lucifer froze.

"That person..." Beelzebub said,

"...would carry its power."

A long silence followed.

Then—

Everyone turned.

Toward Lucifer.

"...No," he said immediately.

No one looked away.

Lucifer sighed deeply.

"...You're all insane."

The Void

The shattered pieces of the Abyss Crown were brought together.

Power surged.

Reality tore open.

A crack formed—

Leading to nothing.

No color.

No light.

No existence.

The void.

Lucifer stood before it.

"...I might actually die."

Beelzebub smirked.

"You've done crazier things."

Lucifer chuckled.

"...Fair."

"Make it quick," Paimon said.

"The crack won't hold."

Lucifer stretched his shoulders.

"...Guess I'm going to meet my grandfather."

And then—

He jumped.

Death... and Rebirth

The moment he entered—

Everything collapsed.

Pressure.

Power.

Erasure.

Even Lucifer—

Felt it.

"...So this is the void..."

His body began to dissolve.

His existence—

Unraveling.

"...Not today."

He forced something open.

A system.

A cycle.

Reincarnation.

And dove into it—

Just before he disappeared.

A New World

Darkness faded.

Pain followed.

Lucifer opened his eyes.

Chains.

Cold stone.

A prison cell.

"...Seriously?"

Memories flooded in.

A name.

Leon Reinhart.

A noble's son.

A failure.

A disgrace.

Lucifer sighed.

"...Of course."

He flexed his fingers.

Weak.

Human.

"...This is worse than Hell."

A glowing window appeared before him.

Status:

Name: Lucifer

Race: Human

Attribute: Fire

Class: Swordsman

Skills: None

Lucifer stared.

"...You've got to be kidding me."

From beyond the bars—

Voices.

"Bring him out."

Guards dragged him forward.

"Trial time."

Lucifer smirked slightly.

"...This should be fun."

The Fall of a Noble

The courtroom was filled.

Nobles.

Judgment.

Contempt.

At the center—

His father.

Duke Reinhart.

"What do you have to say?" the Duke asked coldly.

Lucifer smiled.

"You all came to watch me die, didn't you?"

Murmurs spread.

"But killing me won't benefit you," he continued calmly.

The nobles frowned.

"Disown me instead," Lucifer said.

Silence.

"No blood on your hands."

"No consequences."

"And I die outside... naturally."

The room shifted.

The Duke narrowed his eyes.

"Enough."

A pause.

"Leon Reinhart... is hereby disowned."

Just like that—

He was nothing.

Thrown out.

A coin.

A wooden sword.

The gates closed behind him.

Lucifer stood still.

Dust settling around him.

Then—

He smiled.

"Good."

His eyes glowed faintly.

"This world..."

"...might actually be interesting."

He turned away.

"And Father..."

A quiet laugh escaped him.

"I'm coming back."

To be continued...
