Ram: Go on! Explain it to me...
Vidhur: Yes, my Lord!!!
Vidhur: Let me explain the basic nature of the Yokai to you, my lord:
- We Yokai used to look more threatening, hostile, intimidating and fearsome few millenniums ago, but as the time passed, we started becoming less intimidating and we started becoming beautiful and handsome like the humans.
- As we lost that intimidating look, some of the yokai clans decided to wear helmets or masks to still look intimidating and hostile so that we can continue living.
- As cute yokai won't be feared off, moreover other Astral entities would torture us by making us as their toys and slaves! Hence, few yokai wear masks and helmets to hide their faces!
- Not all yokai wear masks or helmets, only few yokai clans decided to wear masks or helmets and continued the tradition.
- Generally, yokai can live up to 500 years.
- Female Yokai can conceive only once in their lifetime. Hence, they don't have the concept of menstruation.
- Males can't have intercourse regularly. If a male yokai does intercourse, he becomes so weak that he can't even stand up. That's how debilitating intercourse is for male yokai! The male yokai becomes bedridden until the pregnant yokai gives birth.
- Hence, the yokai population is limited as women can't conceive more than once and they give birth after 4 years of pregnancy, generally.
- Male Yokai find no pleasure in intercourse, only females find pleasure in it and treasure that one night experience till their last breath.
- No male is allowed to have intercourse until the male goes to a war and defeats an enemy. Only after defeating at least one enemy in a war, the male gets permission to have intercourse with his wife! As when they defeat an enemy, they get the medicines, food, slaves, money all the necessities as the rewards.
- With those rewards their family can survive, when the female yokai is pregnant while the male is bedridden, as those rewards include slaves who serve those couples during their pregnancy.
- After giving birth to a child, the female and male yokai become healthy and the male can choose to do any occupation of his choice as the slaves are freed after the first cry of the baby.
- Having children is the biggest wealth in yokai realm and raising children is the luxury every family craves for in this realm!
- Hence, killing a child is a serious crime! No yokai ever does such crime! Even the enemy yokai doesn't harm the children, as they know that how precious children are!!!
- Lord, please keep it in mind! You must not order to execute any child yokai so simply! As we have very limited population! So, please restrain yourself before giving anyone the sentence of death!
- Lord, you can torture the criminals or imprison them but please don't kill any child yokai until they are in a battlefield or does something extremely sinful!
This is the rule which no yokai breaks, generally! Well, exceptions do exist in every scenario!
[ Ram smiles and continues listening seriously to Vidhur's words ]
Vidhur: No yokai is allowed to leave the yokai realm, as it will be considered as treason against the king of the nation, because if any yokai befriends an exorcist in human realm and brings him to yokai realm, then mere yokai kings become helpless! Hence, it's a taboo to travel between the realms!
- Moreover, exorcists kill yokai by torturing as soon as they find one. Hence, for their safety also no one is allowed to leave the yokai realm.
- Humans can marry a yokai, only when the human defeats the yokai's father in a duel or in some special cases.
- Here in the Yokai Realm, the amount of green land and the number of loyal people serving you are considered forms of wealth that yokai kings greatly covet!
- A yokai can get more physical strength if they defeat a stronger female yokai and eat that female yokai's breast.
[ Ram with a bit surprised look on his face continues listening ]
- It is originally yokai realm, made for the yokai to live freely by the supreme! But as the time passed, Humans, Asuras, Rakshasa, Brahma-rakshasas etc... started entering through yokai portals and invaded us and became rulers of continents in the yokai realm!
- Yokai aren't supposed to go to nations which are filled with Asuras, Rakshasa, Brahma-rakshasas etc. but they can travel to other kingdoms without any visa permit, they need visa only when they carry ammunitions.
- Asuras, Rakshasa, Brahma-rakshasas etc. realms are more advanced than the yokai realm and Asuras, Rakshasa, Brahma-rakshasas etc. have great astral powers.
- It's like comparing an ant and a fin whale! That's the difference between ours and Asuras, Rakshasa, Brahma-rakshasas' etc. powers!
- A yokai can get astral powers by doing tapas, these astral powers can give anything they wish for, these are more complex topics, my lord! About which we will discuss later, my lord!!!
[ Ram nods his head with agreement ]
Ram: Hmm...
Vidhur: My lord,
- There are total of 116 continents in yokai realm. Out of which 78 continents were occupied by the Asuras, Rakshasa, Brahma-rakshasas and other astral entities. The remaining were being protected by the late emperor.
- Seven years ago, after the late emperor's demise, The emperor's son returned from exile and defeated those Asuras, Rakshasa, Brahma-rakshasas and other astral entities and reclaimed 7 continents back all by himself with his sons and we call him as The Great Emperor Ananta, he reclaims one continent each year!
- Now, all these 45 continents are under the protection of The Great Emperor's rule! The Great Emperor Ananta's sons protect all these 45 continents from other astral entities. Hence, The Great Emperor is rarely free as they are always in war with Asuras, Rakshasa, Brahma-rakshasas' kingdoms to protect these continents!
- It was The Great Emperor Ananta who taught us all to get back everything which is ours! He is the first yokai who waged war against asuras rather than only protecting his remaining continents, unlike his grandfathers and ancestors!!!
[ Ram interrupts curiously ]
Ram: It means emperor's astral powers are as great as the Asuras, Rakshasa, Brahma-rakshasas?
Vidhur: Yes, my Lord!!! That's why we call him as The Great Emperor...
[ Ram smirks and smiles ]
Ram: Anantha, NARAYANA!?!
[ Ram smiles ]
Ram: Yeah, please continue with the explanation
Vidhur: Lord! We are in 11th ranking continent out of the 45 continents. We have a total of 10 kingdoms in this continent and we are the 10th Ranking Kingdom currently, in the 11th Ranking Continent!
Ram: Oh! It means we are the least ranking in our continent!
Vidhur: Yes, My Lord!
Ram: Hmm, continue...

The 10 kingdoms in this continent are:
Rank-1: Mahindra Giri ( Population: 1500 ), the kingdom which made us the 11th ranking continent!
Rank-2: Rani ( Population: 1000 ) a kingdom which is ruled by the Queen, they don't have any males inside their kingdom.
Rank-3: Trilinga ( Population: Unknown ) they never fight with anyone! Rumors are that the Trilinga King is as strong as the late emperor!
Ram: Interesting, NARAYANA!!!
Vidhur: Yes, my Lord! The other kingdom rankings are :
Rank-4: Vanga, ( Population: 500 ) the kingdom which waged war on us recently, It's previous king was a human !
Rank-5: Madra, ( Population: 800 ) the only king who was blessed with twin daughters.
Rank-6: Kambhoj, ( Population: 750 ) the kingdom of trade and market.
Rank-7: Yavana, ( Population: 700 ) the kingdom of philosophers, art and crafts.
Rank-8: Gandhar, ( Population: 600 ) the kingdom of barbarians.
Rank-9: Dvipa, ( Population: 400 ) the kingdom which is surrounded by 7 islands. Each island used to be guarded by dragons, these dragons are no more guarding these islands. As those dragons were slain by Dragon Slayer Warriors who are currently locked in a special octahedron. Madra Kingdom's throne has this special octahedron with them from past few centuries!
Ram: Are those dragons weak?
Vidhur: No, my Lord! Those are some of the strongest creatures in this continent, My Lord!
Ram: Then why isn't the Madra Kingdom ranked 1st?
[ Vidhur's inner voice: He is smarter than he looks ]
Vidhur: My Lord, that's because the emperor locked those Dragon Slayer Warriors in a special octahedron due to their treason. The emperor didn't kill those Dragon Slayer warriors, as they used to be loyal soldiers to the emperor's bloodline once!
That special octahedron later was given as a reward to the Madra kingdom's ancestors due to their help in a war with Asuras, it was given as a reward to them by the ancestors of the late Emperor to the Madra kingdom's ancestors!
As those Dragon Slayer Warriors aren't Madra King's soldiers, if those Dragon Slayer Warriors get released from that special octahedron, there would be a complete chaos!
Vidhur: As they would attack everyone, even the Madra kingdom's king! Hence, no generation of Madra Kings used them for wars until they want to buy some time to escape from battlefield!
Ram: Hmm, it makes sense now, NARAYANA!
Ram: As the dragons got wiped, Dvipa got 9th ranking. As they lost their defense system, right?
Vidhur: Splendid, My Lord! You sure are smart, My Lord!
[ Vidhur's inner voice: He might not have brawls, but he sure is smart! If he strategizes correctly, we might get back to normal again ]
Vidhur: My Lord! We used to be the 4th ranking kingdom in this continent but recently we have lost the war with Vanga kingdom making us 10th rank nation in this continent! Hence, we don't have much population or greater technology with us anymore...
[ Ram with a casual tone ]
Ram: How much gold do we have?
Vidhur: We don't have any gold in our treasury, My Lord! We only have 50 silver coins which would be two palace guards' salary! With such wealth in our treasury, we can only give them salary for the next 6 months. Excluding my salary, My Lord!!!
[ 1 silver coin is equivalent to 10 grams of silver ]
Ram: Interesting, NARAYANA!!!
[ Vidhur's inner voice: He sure is a fool! Who says "interesting"? when they get to know that they are all broke! He sure is a lunatic ]
Ram: How many soldiers do we have?
Vidhur: Only me, my lord! All others left as soon as Prince Ojas left! No one is in the palace, even the Queen's helpers left the palace as the news of you being king was announced!
[ Ram laughs ]
Ram: Hmm, it's going to be lots of fun! We are going to get busy, NARAYANA!!!
[ Vidhur's inner voice: What's wrong with this human? Why is he carefree? He doesn't look the type of person who would be irresponsible! But why is he behaving as if it's a very common thing ]
[ Vidhur curiously asks ]
Vidhur: My Lord! Can I get to know that why are you not serious but in such a chill mood?
Ram: Oh nothing! I wasn't chilling or taking things lightly! I was just imagining how great this journey is going to be...
Ram: By the way, what's our population?
Vidhur: We used to have a population of 900 before the war, after the war we are currently having 108 Adults and no children, My Lord! All others left the kingdom with their families!!!
Ram: Seriously, NARAYANA!?! That's too bad!
[ Vidhur's inner voice: Oh! It seems even he could worry now and then, but he sure doesn't know for what he has to worry! He should have worried for the army strength or treasury but he is worried about people, he sure is interesting! ]
