The three security guards scrambled backward and fell to the floor in terror, staring at Xia Li in utter disbelief.
A Vampire. She really turned into a Vampire!
"How does it feel?"
Jiang Chaosheng asked with a smile.
The three security guards all turned to look at Jiang Chaosheng.
’What in the world *is* this terrifying boss!’
’He actually turned Xia Li into a Vampire?’
’A Vampire is terrifying, but the mysterious man who can turn someone into a Vampire is the most terrifying thing of all!’
Xia Li frowned.
She felt hungry. So hungry she was about to pass out. It was a hunger more painful than death, a torture that washed over her entire body.
Jiang Chaosheng glanced at the three security guards.
"You may feed."
Jiang Chaosheng liked his quiet.
Why else would he let these three guards continue their incessant racket?
It was because he knew a new Vampire would need to feed.
Unable to wait any longer, Xia Li reached out toward the three security guards.
"No, President Xia! I was wrong!"
"Spare me! It was Lawyer Zhao who made us do it!"
The security captain crawled over to Jiang Chaosheng, grabbing his pant leg and pleading:
"Save me, please save me! I’ll be your dog!"
Jiang Chaosheng took a step back, his face twisting into a frown of disgust.
His disgust wasn’t for the man’s profession, but for his filthy character.
Xia Li’s hands morphed into claws.
The next second, the guards froze in place, their faces contorting in agony.
Jiang Chaosheng savored the scene.
’The sight of a Vampire feeding isn’t something one gets to see every day.’
’Am I the only one who can truly appreciate this kind of supernatural savagery?’
Crimson Blood and Qi Power was drawn from the guards’ bodies, transforming into pure energy that flowed through Xia Li’s hands and into every fiber of her being.
So, it turned out Vampires didn’t suck blood by sinking their teeth into a major artery. They had another, slightly more elegant method.
’Absorbing the vital essence of their food by converting it into Blood and Qi Power... there’s a certain strange, gory aesthetic to it.’
In less than two minutes, two of the guards had withered into dried husks.
The remaining security captain was deathly pale and had visibly shrunken, but he was still alive.
Xia Li had only just become a Vampire. Her Extraordinary Level was still average, so her appetite wasn’t that large yet.
The security captain scrambled to his feet and made a desperate dash for the exit.
Jiang Chaosheng glanced at his fleeing back.
"Clean this up."
Xia Li hadn’t finished digesting the Blood and Qi Power inside her.
Hearing Jiang Chaosheng’s command, she immediately moved to intercept the man.
Just then, a coat was draped over her shoulders.
Xia Li turned to see Jin Meiting holding out her own jacket for her.
When she transformed into a Vampire, a pair of bat wings had sprouted from her lower back, tearing through her hospital gown.
She was now indecently exposed.
Before Xia Li could even manage a "thank you," she froze, staring intently at Jin Meiting.
Jin Meiting’s body was beginning to change.
Jin Meiting was wearing a camisole and low-rise jeans, both of which revealed tantalizing expanses of pale skin—one deep, one shallow.
Now, a spiked tail was emerging from the waistband of those very same low-rise jeans.
A pair of goat-like horns sprouted from her head, and her pupils shifted into the shape of hearts.
Xia Li’s mouth fell open in astonishment.
’So, Jin Meiting is a Demon, too!’
’She doesn’t wear low-rise jeans just to be sexy, but to make it easier for her to transform!’
’What is she?’
’A Succubus?’
’That makes sense. A boss this strange and mysterious having a Succubus for a maid isn’t surprising at all.’
’A mysterious antique shop... a bizarre boss... a gorgeous Succubus maid.’
’This is truly a world above the mundane!’
Xia Li pulled herself out of her shock and studied Jin Meiting intently.
’I’ve learned something. In the future, I should wear clothes that leave my midriff bare, like a tube top. That way, my clothes won’t get torn and leave me in an embarrassing state when I transform into a Vampire.’
Jin Meiting’s figure flickered, and in an instant, she reappeared at the doorway.
The security captain looked at Jin Meiting, the terror in his eyes practically spilling out.
’The hot piece of ass I was planning to torture is a Devil too!’
Jin Meiting placed her left hand on her hip, her tail swaying lazily.
She was beautiful. Bewitching.
But her fiery appearance sparked no excitement in the security captain, only pure terror.
Her eyes were cold as ice. Pink flames erupted from her right hand as her red lips curled into a mocking smile.
"Hey now," she purred. "Didn’t you like what you saw earlier? Your eyes were burning with such passion."
The security captain’s Adam’s apple bobbed for a long moment before his lips began to tremble.
"N-no, please, I’m sorry, don’t..."
The words had barely left his mouth when the pink flames enveloped him.
The security captain stared in horror at the flames covering his body, letting out a stream of bloodcurdling screams.
After a moment, he realized the flames had no heat.
’But... doesn’t fire need fuel to burn?’
’So what... what is this fire burning?’
An impossibly seductive voice echoed in his mind.
"Drag those two bodies away. The farther, the better."
The terror in the security captain’s eyes slowly faded, replaced by a lecherous haze.
He swayed on his feet and turned around, a dopey, lecherous grin plastered on his face as he cackled idiotically.
The security captain walked over to the two corpses, grabbed them by the ankles, and began dragging them outside, one step at a time.
Despite having been fed on, leaving his body shrunken and incredibly weak,
he now possessed immense strength, dragging the two bodies with no trouble at all.
Jiang Chaosheng watched the security captain drag his colleagues out of the antique shop before turning toward the stairs.
"My assistant will explain the rest."
Xia Li watched Jiang Chaosheng head upstairs, unable to snap out of her daze for a long time.
’Right now, I’m a powerful, sophisticated woman, a company president, and a Vampire.’
’Anyone with those three "buffs" stacked would be one of the most outstanding people in the world.’
’But in front of that being, I’m still just an ant. I wouldn’t dare show the slightest hint of disrespect.’
She slowly lowered her head in a bow.
A delicate, slender hand patted Xia Li’s shoulder.
"Come on. I’ll drive you back."
Xia Li turned her head to see Jin Meiting smiling warmly at her.
’When Jin Meiting saw me during the day, she was so high and mighty.’
’But now, she’s so concerned, like we’re old friends, like sisters.’
’Is it because I’ve also become one of them? Does she see me as a comrade now?’
Xia Li had no friends—only business partners bound by mutual interest, and enemies.
To suddenly have a friend... a warm spring seemed to well up in her heart.
Xia Li clutched the jacket tighter around herself.
"Okay. Thank you."
She glanced toward the door, and a flash of murderous intent crossed her beautiful, cold face.
’Lawyer Zhao should be heading to my hospital room to have me sign that contract soon, won’t he?’

Viewed from an outsider’s perspective, the entire affair would sound like a bizarre urban legend.
A member of the elite, betrayed and on the verge of death, refuses to accept their fate and trades their soul to a mysterious being in exchange for Supernatural Power.
You could easily make a movie based on a premise like that; the hook is certainly strong enough.
In fact, this was an experience common to every customer of Antique Shop Zero.
