Nighttime, He Family Villa.

He Yan Ting returned home with an terrifyingly gloomy expression, heading straight to his bedroom without even eating dinner.

He had clearly watched Shi Qing walk out with his own eyes, yet the people he had assigned claimed they hadn’t seen her.Full novel: The Fake Heiress Advises Generosity, I Throw a Ghost at Her — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

If they didn’t see her, could it be they saw a ghost instead?!

He Yan Ting took a deep breath, suddenly thought of something, and his eyes turned vicious again.

It didn’t matter that she got away today; he refused to believe she could keep running forever.

Let him think about how to deal with her.

Strip her naked, press cigarette butts against her skin, shave her head bald, make her kneel on broken glass begging for mercy…

Just the thought made He Yan Ting uncontrollably excited, his face twisting with anticipation.

“Young master, would you like to eat?”

Just then, the voice of the housemaid sounded from outside. He Yan Ting’s eyes tinged with red, his voice hoarse.

“Come in…”

The room was pitch black. The moment the maid entered, He Yan Ting shoved her to the ground, tearing her clothes.

“Young master, please don’t…”

He Yan Ting didn’t stop; instead, his actions grew rougher.

Gradually, he began to notice something was wrong. The person beneath him seemed completely still, and why did the sensation under his hands feel sticky?

Just as He Yan Ting paused, a strange, sharp voice pierced the silent darkness.

“Keep going, I want more, so thrilling, I’m so excited…”

As the voice rang out, the figure on the floor sat up in a bizarre, contorted posture.

He Yan Ting’s pupils contracted violently. Overwhelmed by intense terror, he realized he couldn’t move, frozen rigidly in place.

“Master He, keep going…”

Suihua’s eerie voice whispered in He Yan Ting’s ear. His eyes widened in horror as he slowly, stiffly turned his head to see Suihua’s head resting on his shoulder, her mouth split open to her ears, revealing a mouthful of stark white teeth.

Yet her body remained seated on the floor in front of him.

“Ahhh—”

A piercing, shrill scream startled a stray cat strolling outside the villa, causing it to stumble and crash into a tree.

“Meow, meow, meow!!!”

( )

It was cursing quite viciously~

…

By the time the He family pushed open He Yan Ting’s door, they found him unconscious on the floor, his face pale and ashen.

Watching the flustered family rush He Yan Ting to the hospital, Suihua, floating mid-air, curled her lips in disdain.

Generally, ghosts don’t go around scaring people, but well, she had a boss now. Since he had bullied her boss, she had no choice but to come give him a good scare.

He really couldn’t handle it. Her boss was much more experienced, able to take a scare—calm as could be the first time they met.

Leaving the He Family Villa, Suihua drifted toward the Shi Family Villa…

…

In the dead of night, Shi Qing was roused from her drowsy sleep by knocking sounds.

When she groggily opened her bedroom door, she saw Suihua outside, banging her head against the door.

“What are you doing in the middle of the night?”

Yawning, Shi Qing went to the kitchen to pour herself a glass of water, then looked up.

Whoa.

Since when did her house have another ghost?!

“Who’s that?”

Shi Qing was fully awake now, staring at the ghost before her—a twisted, tangled mess resembling a giant slug. She felt like she’d seen it somewhere before.

“Boss Shi, you forgetful noble! Didn’t you ask me to find out what kind of ghost it is?””So you just brought it back?”

Shi Qing rolled her eyes at Suihua.

Suihua chuckled sheepishly. “I thought it was interesting. I brought it back for you to see, and besides, I already promised to give it an apple.”

She couldn’t possibly go deliver an apple to this ghost in the middle of the night. If anyone saw an apple floating in the air, they’d probably be scared half to death.

As she spoke, Suihua took a plate of apples from the refrigerator, handed one to the ghost in front of her, and pulled the rest toward herself.

“This is the Truth Ghost. When it latches onto someone, that person can only tell the truth. People who told endless lies during their lifetime might become this kind of ghost after death. It loves hearing lies, so it usually appears near people who frequently tell lies.”

Suihua continued eating while explaining.

Shi Qing couldn’t communicate directly with this Truth Ghost – everything relied on Suihua acting as translator.

“Although its power level is low, its ability is quite amusing.”

If the Truth Ghost attached itself to someone, that person would only be able to speak truthfully. Yet it preferred to stay near people who often told lies.

Therefore, even if it attached to someone, it wouldn’t stay for long, which meant this type of ghost generally didn’t cause much harm.

What a contradictory ghost.

Hearing Suihua’s explanation, Shi Qing rested her chin on her hand and suddenly became interested.

Someone who frequently tells lies…

Who could that be?

But since Shi Yi Yi loved pretending so much, why not let her speak to her heart’s content?

After conveying her intention to the Truth Ghost, Suihua nodded. “It says it’s willing, but it hopes to get one apple every day.”

The apples grown in the Space-Time Shop were special, containing trace amounts of spiritual energy. Regular consumption could nourish the human body, and presumably had similar effects on ghosts.

Shi Qing blinked and nodded in agreement.

One apple per day…

She thought corporate workers had it bad enough, but even after becoming a ghost, they still had to hustle like this.

Thus, the Truth Ghost happily took an apple and left, though who knew if anyone would spot it in the middle of the night…

The next day, He Yan Ting asked for leave and didn’t come, probably terrified by Suihua. Shi Yi Yi also didn’t show up, though her situation remained unclear.

With He Yan Ting absent, the plans of those outsiders had to be temporarily shelved, since he had been the one leading the initiative.

Throughout the day, Feng Shuang Shuang seemed constantly on the verge of saying something, but since she didn’t ask, Shi Qing didn’t offer any explanations.

“Shi Qing, about He Yan Ting…”

As evening self-study approached, Feng Shuang Shuang finally couldn’t resist asking.

But Shi Qing simply shook her head at her.

“Feng Shuang Shuang, just focus on your studies. Why get involved in these matters? Don’t you agree?”

Although Feng Shuang Shuang wasn’t particularly studious, she was smart enough to know what should and shouldn’t be said.

Hearing this, she immediately closed her mouth.

She was right – why was she asking these questions? The more she said, the more mistakes she might make. She certainly didn’t want to attract those things into her home, and besides, He Yan Ting was truly annoying.

Evening self-study was usually dedicated to completing test papers. With the college entrance exams approaching, the number of papers distributed during the day was naturally substantial.

However, Shi Qing worked through them quickly, basically finishing them shortly after they were handed out. This was thanks to her previous life’s Weirdness mother – all that problem-solving practice had nearly become muscle memory.

Therefore, she directly requested leave during evening self-study.The homeroom teacher was already accustomed to this and directly nodded in agreement.

“Feng Shuang Shuang, I’m heading back first. See you later.”

Waving at Feng Shuang Shuang, Shi Qing left the school and immediately hailed a taxi.

Let’s go watch the drama at the Shi family!!

After all, Shi Qing was the biological daughter of the Shi family. The security guard at the villa recognized her and let her in upon seeing her.

When Shi Qing arrived, the Shi family was having dinner, though the atmosphere at the table was somewhat tense.

Shi Yi Yi, in particular, had red-rimmed eyes and looked full of grievances.

However, in Shi Qing’s eyes, the Truth Ghost was clinging to Shi Yi Yi’s back.

Tsk tsk, no wonder Shi Yi Yi had taken leave today. The Shi family must have been quite lively.

“What are you doing here!”

The moment Shi Qing walked in, Shi Mo immediately stood up and glared at her furiously.

Shi Qing acted as if she didn’t hear him and walked straight to the sofa to sit down.

“Get out!”

Shi Mo pointed at the door, wishing he could strangle Shi Qing right then and there.

Shi Qing merely lifted her eyelids, showing no sign of anger. Instead, she chuckled twice and lazily propped herself up on the sofa.

“I’m not leaving. Go ahead and call the police if you dare.”
