After taking care of the daily fruits, Li Yao went to the wholesale grain and oil market. She handed the boss her prepared list directly: millet, rice, brown rice…

Soybeans, red beans, black beans…

She wanted a full range of varieties and huge quantities, which piqued the boss’s curiosity.Full novel: The Female Killing God of The Apocalypse: It’s Already The Apocalypse, Why Would You Provoke Her? — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Miss, you want so much. We might not have this much in stock; we’ll have to order it. It could take two or three days. Can you wait?”

Li Yao nodded, “That’s fine, as long as all my goods can be ready within a week.”

The boss smiled and asked, “Miss, can I ask what you’re doing with so many goods?”

Li Yao suddenly smiled, making the wholesale boss feel uneasy inside. This young lady was quite pretty, but her smile looked like she could eat people.

Li Yao said, “I’m opening a large supermarket. Half the goods I’ll keep to sell, two-thirds of the rest I’ll donate as a publicity stunt, and one-third I’ll use for events on opening day.”

The boss’s expression changed from doubt to shock. It’s said young people should be the ones making money now — their minds are really sharp.

After checking the goods, Li Yao gave the boss her warehouse address, arranged to stagger delivery times from the fruit transport, paid for the goods that had arrived, and would settle the rest once all the goods came in.

Li Yao paid quickly and generously, impressing the boss, who thought young people nowadays were truly amazing.

Li Yao spent the whole morning visiting three places. As lunchtime approached, she found a spot to eat.

Time was tight, and there were many things left to do, so she wasn’t in the mood for good food.

The next ten years of the apocalypse were the most important. If she worked hard now, she could live comfortably day by day in the coming decade.

She ate a simple lunch while checking the list of supplies to see what else was missing.

Items already secured were crossed off, those bought but not complete were marked with a check.

[What is she doing buying so much? Can she really eat it all?]

[She looks calm, but Lin Ge and Ning Jie are already training.]

[Li Yao buying so much doesn’t mean she’ll use it all. She’s just wasting resources.]

[No point watching this, I’m leaving.]

Qiu Ling sighed. Li Yao’s livestream had very few viewers, mostly skeptics.

Qiu Ling didn’t understand what Li Yao was doing either, even after being her agent for three years. Li Yao disliked interacting with people and was quite mysterious.

In the vast interstellar space, countless programs were produced daily. Zhou Chengxing, with his own skills, held a good position on the largest broadcasting platform in the galaxy.

Though they had left Earth, Zhou Chengxing still wasn’t at ease. The spaceship stayed near Earth, waiting for the twelve celebrities to survive the apocalypse on Earth before he felt comfortable leaving.

The assistant director also kept an eye on Li Yao’s livestream but didn’t understand.

Zhou Chengxing said, “She’s stockpiling supplies.”

The assistant director was surprised — how did Zhou know?

Zhou explained, “On Li Yao’s first day here, she looked through a few novels and even made a list based on the content. I glanced at the book titles and took note. A couple of days ago, I found the novels and finally understood what she’s up to.”

He admired Li Yao. When she didn’t know what to do, she looked for references and, first, discarded the superior attitude of being an interstellar person. He could already imagine how comfortable her life would be during the apocalypse if done her way.

Zhou Chengxing looked forward to Li Yao surprising him. The assistant director still didn’t understand what ‘stockpiling’ meant.

In the afternoon, Li Yao went to check the renovation of the 33rd floor. Everything was going as she imagined; the house’s walls had been thickened internally.

The renovation team leader, seeing the sturdy fortress, looked at Li Yao and awkwardly asked in Chinese:

“Why are you making this place so fortress-like and strong?”

Li Yao saw that the blast-proof glass was installed, and outside was a solid security window. Now they were installing the inner layer, all reinforced with thick steel bars, ensuring safety.

Li Yao replied seriously, “I’m mentally ill.”

She even showed a diagnosis report printed from the internet to convince them.

Seeing her medical report, the renovation team was silent. No one expected this pretty young lady to have such an illness.

“Ah, sorry,” said Tom, the team leader.

Li Yao didn’t care, “I live here, but I’m renovating it like a cage for the safety of the neighbors.”

[She doesn’t want any celebrity airs at all, saying she’s crazy.]

[Sounds nice, but really she’s just building a turtle shell and making excuses.]

[I get it now. Li Yao is buying so much food because she plans to stay here for ten years.]

[Cunning! Cunning! She can live comfortably for ten years, but others can’t. That’s unfair.]

Some fans thought this was unfair to their own idols and flooded the official account.

Zhou Chengxing quickly issued an announcement:

[Earth Survival Director Zhou Chengxing: Guests can make three requests to the production team. The team respects personal opinions. It’s the guest’s own choice. As long as they survive the ten Earth years, the team will not interfere with their personal actions.]

The announcement made it clear to everyone that these were their own choices, and the production team wouldn’t take responsibility.

Fans were angry but knew they couldn’t blame the director or production team, so they flooded Li Yao’s livestream.

They threw virtual stones, rotten eggs, and other gifts wildly, making her stream chaotic.

All the gifts had visual effects lasting only ten minutes, but it was still gift giving, and small amounts accumulated into a significant income for Li Yao.

If Li Yao saw it, she wouldn’t be upset at all — she even hoped for more of such gifts.

After checking on the renovation progress, she went to the warehouse to receive goods. The fruits had arrived. She checked and counted the goods, inspected the warehouse, and after confirming there was no surveillance, she stored everything inside.

The fruit delivery took an hour. Then came the rice, flour, and oil deliveries — perfectly timed.

Li Yao glanced at her supermarket’s renovation, roughly packed many goods and loaded them into her vehicle. The supermarket was large, so her buying wouldn’t raise suspicion. She always wore a mask.

Carrying snacks into the car, she marveled at how she was a master of time management.

“Bang!” Li Yao turned suddenly and bumped into someone, dropping her box.

She asked, “Are you okay?”

The man bent down to help pick up her things, smiling, “Just a box.”

After seeing Li Yao’s face, he froze — he had never seen anyone so beautiful.

Li Yao took the box and said, “This is my store, it’s still being renovated. If you feel unwell anywhere, you can come here and find me. I’ll pay for your medical expenses.”
