Another week passed, and Barry had been busier than ever.

The plan he and Sapphire had set in motion unfolded more smoothly than either of them expected.

Part of it was careful preparation, but the real turning point came when Simon Stagg abruptly vanished after the media exposed years of fraud tied to his name.Full novel: The Flash: A Different Barry Allen — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Barry knew the truth.

Dr.

Wells had paid Stagg a visit the night before his disappearance.

It didn’t take a genius to connect the dots—another victim claimed by the Reverse-Flash.

In the aftermath, Sapphire moved quickly, taking over her father’s position and his shares.

Barry also secured majority of stock, putting almost two-thirds of Stagg Industries under their joint control.

Together, they now held absolute authority over the company.

Sapphire wasted no time proving her strength.

She began a ruthless cleanup, dismissing her father’s loyalists and forcing them to shoulder the blame for his fraud.

At the same time, Barry unveiled his next step: Graphene Semiconductor chips.

Carefully tiered in design rather than rushed to perfection, they were nearly ready for production.

It was enough to push Stagg Industries ahead of every competitor.

Outside Central City, Barry spent time with Carrol.

She was deep in the final stages of an aerospace project—a supersonic jet designed to reach Mach 10, nearly double the record of any existing aircraft.

Success meant military contracts, and Carrol had thrown herself into the work.

Barry, in turn, supported her quietly from the sidelines.

But Barry’s alter ego never rested.

The rumors had begun to spread: whispers of a streak of Violet-Gold Lightning appearing at crime scenes, saving lives, and vanishing before anyone could blink.

Iris, ever the reporter, had taken a special interest in tracking the stories.

She was the first to give the name—The Streak, which made him cringe every time.

That evening, Barry wasn’t running.

Instead, he sat cross-legged, eyes closed, immersed in training.

His meditation drew in the surrounding Omega Energy, though the process was painfully slow.

He had already begun work on scaling up his old radiation-collection machine, but until then, this was his only path.

The energy itself was dangerous—raw, violent, destructive.

He had to filter it carefully, letting it settle inside him bit by bit.

At the same time, he deepened his bond with the Speed Force, balancing on the edge of control and release.

His phone buzzed, breaking the quiet.

Barry exhaled softly, opening his eyes.

Cisco’s name flashed on the screen.

“Cisco.”

“Robbery at Central City Bank,” Cisco reported quickly.

“Police are still two minutes out.

I’ve got a satellite feed.”

Barry rose smoothly to his feet.

“On it.”

In seconds, the red suit wrapped around him.

A streak of Violet-gold lightning lit the night as he vanished toward the city.

Central City Bank.

“Hurry up!

Fill this bag or I’ll put a bullet in your head!” one robber shouted, shoving his gun in the terrified teller’s face.

Hands shaking, she stuffed bills into the sack.

“C’mon, the cops are almost here,” his partner snapped, slinging another bag across his shoulder.

“Relax.

Almost done,” the first replied, yanking the bag back.

And then— lightning.

A blinding streak of Violet-gold cut across the room.

The robbers barely had time to gasp before their weapons were gone, the money placed back into the teller’s trembling hands.

A moment later, they found themselves bound to a metal pole outside, rope cutting into their wrists, unable to move.

By the time the police arrived, all that remained of the intruder was confusion.

The robbers muttered in disbelief, still struggling against bonds they couldn’t break.

“Done,” Barry reported calmly when he reappeared at the team’s base.

“A new personal best,” Caitlin said, shaking her head in amazement.

She never got used to watching him stop crimes so effortlessly.

Barry gave a faint smile.

“I aim to please.”

But with his meditation disrupted, Barry decided to call it a night.

He still had another promise to keep—his long-delayed movie night with Iris, one he’d been “volunteered” into.

Vogue Movie Theater

Barry and Iris walked out of the theater, the night air cooler than the stale popcorn smell clinging to Iris’s medium-sized bucket.

She popped a handful into her mouth, unimpressed.

“That was one of the worst zombie movies ever,” Barry sighed,

“You didn’t even pay attention.

You were glued to your phone the whole time,” Iris shot back.

“It was either that or fall asleep.” Barry shrugged casually.

“So, what are you working on?” she asked, tilting her head at him.

“Computer chips,” Barry said simply, leaving it at that.

Iris gave him a playful nudge with her shoulder.

“Well, I’m more interested in the amazing happening around here lately.”

“You mean this ‘Streak’ thing?” Barry asked, lips twitching faintly at the name.

“He’s out there, Barry.

People are talking about him.” Her eyes were bright, more alive than they had been during the movie.

“Actually, I saw him this morning outside the police station.

Someone even posted a picture—after he pulled a guy from a car wreck.” She stopped in front of him, blocking his path, and pulled out her phone.

“Here.

What do you see?”

Barry leaned over, raising a brow.

“I see… your boyfriend is calling.”

Blinking, Iris checked the screen—and sure enough, it was Eddie.

“Oh.

I should probably get this.

What’s up?

Not much, just hanging out with Barry.

Are you off yet?”

Barry exhaled in relief while she was distracted, eyes drifting to a roadside food stall.

He was about to take a detour when his phone buzzed again.

“Hello?” he answered quietly.

“Code 237 on Wade Boulevard,” Cisco’s voice came through.

Barry raised an eyebrow.

“Public indecency?”

“Wait—239,” Cisco corrected, glancing at his monitors.

“Dog leash violation?”

“Bad man, gun, getaway car.

Go,” Caitlin cut in.

Barry’s eyes flicked back to Iris.

Once he was sure she wasn’t looking, he vanished in a flash.

Street

Two beat cops chased a truck barreling down the road.

The driver leaned out the window and opened fire.

“He’s got a gun!

Look out!”

A streak of Violet-gold lightning zipped through the vehicle.

In the blink of an eye, Barry snatched the driver from his seat, cuffed him, and dumped him in the back.

The truck coasted to a stop.

“Where’d he go?” one officer shouted—only to see their suspect sitting in the backseat, wide-eyed, as if reality itself had betrayed him.

Vogue Movie Theater

Barry reappeared exactly where he’d been, phone in hand, posture relaxed.

“All done.

You two can head home—or go out and have fun,” he said into the line before hanging up.

Iris turned, phone still to her ear.

“Eddie says hi.”

“Nice of him,” Barry replied evenly, then scanned the street.

“You wanna grab a bite?

Feeling a little famished.”

“After the Mongolian barbecue and the extra-large popcorn?

How are you not fat?” Iris teased.

“Did you forget?

There’s no end to my appetite.” Barry smiled, leading her along the sidewalk.

“Oh, okay.” Iris smiled.

Next Morning -CCPD

Barry with his morning coffee, walked into the police department to see the beat cop from last night bragging about an arrest he never made “Where’d you cut him off?”

“So we cut him off at eighth.

I mean, the perp was in the backseat of the cruiser before he even knew what happened.” the cop lied as Joe walked up

“Congratulations, Paulson, on that arrest last night.

Hell of a job.” Joe congratulated

“You come by later, Joe.

I’ll give you a driving lesson, okay?” Paulson said before he walked off

“The nerve of people.” Barry could never understand how he could lie with such an open face

“You did it?” Joe asked walking with Barry, who nodded, to his lab “Figures”

“Joe it’s better If you let Iris in on it, she is a smart girl and will eventually figure out” Barry said

“I know, but it is safer that way.

Besides, you and me we got work to do.” Joe said

Moments Later

Barry watched as Joe put a box on his desk “The evidence from my mom’s case.” Barry said as he looked to Joe

“I had it brought up from storage.” Joe said with a nod as he turned to face Barry

“Joe I have everything memorized from this case” Barry said crossing his arms over his chest

“Before, your story about what really happened that night, the lightning storm, the man in the middle of it I thought was a kid trying to protect his father from prison.” Joe said, turning to face the picture of Nora, Barry had on the wall “The photographic evidence, the unknown blood sample, and the blurry video is right now our only lead, until we find something else that helps us and we are going to take our time.”

Barry nodded, but inwardly he knew there was nothing else they could find that he hadn’t thought, except for one thing but that will prove what we already know.

Joe was going through the evidence when Eddie walked in “Barry, Joe, we got multiple homicides.” he said, causing the two to look at him “Do you know the Darbinyan crime family?”

Barry, and Joe shared a glance before they followed Eddie to the crime scene

30 Minutes Later

Barry was kneeling down canvassing the crime scene, all the suspects were killed by poison gas, but there were no canisters, or containers around “Barry?” Barry looked up to Joe “Anything?”

“Signs of histotoxic hypoxia.

The cells in their bodies were unable to utilize oxygen.

It’s consistent with exposure to poison gas.” Barry said

“What kind of poison?” Joe asked

“There are quite a few poisons with similar effects, I will need to autopsy the patient and get a lung sample to narrow it down but-” Barry looked at the crime scene and explained

“The only other exit was bolted from the inside.

They were trapped.” Eddie said walking up, as Barry and Joe looked at him “I was thinking someone pumped gas in from the outside, but witnesses say the street was empty.”

“Eddie, would you mind canvassing again?

Somebody had to have seen something suspicious.” Joe said getting Eddie to nod before he walked off, and Joe turned back to Barry who stood up

“I think a meta-human must be behind this, look at the boss who collapsed by the table.” Barry said before he pointed to another corpse “This guy made it 10 feet away.

That guy had a chance to move off and fire three shots into the window trying to break the glass.

But they all started in the same spot, which means they should have all been affected by the gas at the same time, but instead, it’s as if-”

“They were attacked one by one.” Joe finished for Barry who nodded “My gut feeling, if we’re gonna solve this one, you and me, we are gonna need backup.”

Two Hours Later

S.T.A.R.

Labs

Barry and Joe watched as Caitlin, Cisco, and Wells went into full nerd mode over their latest meta-human, glancing at Joe, Barry saw that he was looking a bit confused at the terms being thrown around “They get real excited about this stuff.”

“The only thing I get excited about is putting criminals behind bars.

Except Iron Heights isn’t exactly equipped to handle metahumans.”

“There is one place here that might hold them.” Cisco said looking to Wells and Caitlin

“You can’t be serious.” Caitlin said looking at Cisco “I mean, we haven’t been down there since the… Follow the newest chapters on g.com.

It’s cordoned off.”

“Cisco is right.” Wells said nodding “It could be modified to act as a makeshift prison.”

“What could?” Joe asked

“The particle accelerator.” Wells said looking up to Barry and Joe, as Barry looked to Caitlin who looked sad “Caitlin, we’re going down to the accelerator ring.” Wells said, rolling back before he paused and looked to Caitlin who was looking down “Caitlin…Caitlin.” Caitlin finally looked up to him “Did you hear me?

We’re going down to the accelerator ring.”

Caitlin was about to decline, when Barry spoke up “Actually….

I could use Caitlin’s help identifying the poison gas.” he said watching as Caitlin breathed a sigh of relief

“Okay.” Wells said nodding

“If that’s okay with you?” Barry asked looking to Caitlin who smiled

“Let’s go,” Caitlin said, slipping on her coat and following Barry out.

When they stepped into the cool night air, Barry suddenly stopped and turned toward her.

“What?” Caitlin asked, raising a brow.

“Do you want to experience what it feels like to travel at super speed?” Barry asked, He has a theory he wants to test .

Caitlin blinked, surprised.

“What, now?

I thought we were taking my car.”

“Cars are too slow,” Barry said casually.

“Besides, aren’t you curious?”

She hesitated.

Truthfully, ever since she saw Barry run faster than humanly possible, part of her had wondered what it felt like.

After a pause, she nodded.

“Great.

Come closer,” Barry instructed.

Caitlin stepped in, still a little wary.

“Now, put your hands around my neck.”

Her cheeks flushed slightly, but she obeyed, looping her arms around his neck.

Their faces were suddenly closer than she expected, close enough for her heart to quicken.

Barry’s hand steadied her back.

Then, with a calm tone, he said, “I’m going to lift you now.

Ready?”

Before she could second-guess herself, Barry slipped his other arm under her legs, lifting her in a princess carry.

“Ah!” Caitlin gasped, instinctively tightening her hold on him.

“Don’t worry.

I got you,” Barry reassured, his voice steady.

She glanced up at his face, and for a moment, she forgot about the ground entirely.

“Are you ready?” he asked.

Taking a deep breath, Caitlin nodded.

“I’m ready.”

In the next instant, Violet-gold lightning erupted around them.

The world slowed, sound fell silent, and everything froze.

“Barry… what’s happening?” Caitlin whispered, her eyes wide as she saw people and cars locked in place.

“You’re moving as fast as me,” Barry explained evenly.

His hunch was right.

“How is this possible?” she asked, awe mixed with disbelief.

Her gaze darted everywhere, drinking in the stillness.

“Is this what you see every time you run?”

“Yes,” Barry said, his calm voice grounding her.

“It’s like you’re… sharing your powers with me.” Her scientific instincts kicked in immediately.

“This changes everything.

Could other Metas do this too?

Could powers be transferred, even temporarily?

What are the—”

Barry chuckled softly.

“How about we save the theories for later?

For now, let’s get to my lab.”

Caitlin nodded, still mesmerized, but smiled.

“Alright.

I’m ready.”

Barry grinned back, tightened his hold, and launched forward.

The world became a blur of streaking lights as they broke the sound barrier.

Even with her heightened perception, Caitlin couldn’t fully keep up with Barry’s senses.

Before she knew it, they stopped in a quiet alley near CCPD.

Barry set her down gently and exited super speed.

Time resumed, and Caitlin staggered, dizzy from the sudden return to normalcy.

“You okay?” Barry asked, steadying her by the waist.

“I’m fine,” Caitlin said quickly, though her legs wobbled.

She took a deep breath, then broke into a wide, exhilarated smile.

“My body isn’t meant for highspeeds probably thats why i felt dizzy, but it was amazing”

Barry couldn’t help but smile back.

“Yeah.

It’s something else, isn’t it?” He gave her a cube of chocolate

“No wonder you run everywhere.

I think I get it now—it’s… addictive.” Her voice softened as she met his eyes.

They lingered there for a beat, caught in each other’s gaze, the city noise fading away.

Then Caitlin suddenly stepped back, flustered.

“We should, um… head to your lab.”

Barry laughed quietly, running a hand through his hair.

“Yeah… let’s go.”

Hey Guyz

Thankyou so much for all the support, it means a lot.
