It washed away my entire life.

Some people are ruined by love.

And some are ruined by the person they love.

The moment I saw him, I knew my life would never be the same.

I should have hated him…

But my heart betrayed me.

The blood on the floor was still fresh…

And the killer was standing right in front of me.

Sometimes, the people who save you are the same ones who destroy you.

In this story, the hero was broken, the villain was heartless, and the girl standing between them was never meant to survive.

This was not just a love story.

It was a war between hearts, revenge, and dangerous promises.

Behind every smile was pain no one could see.

Some characters were born to protect her…

And some were born to ruin her.

In the end, nobody in this story was completely innocent.

And the silent protector…

**—

Zimal opened the classroom door and stepped outside.

The teacher had not arrived yet.

She looked across the college grounds, crowded with rushing students, unfinished assignments, and endless noise.

Taking a deep breath, Zimal walked toward the classroom with her friends, laughing softly as they talked.

As they entered, Zimal accidentally bumped into someone.

She looked up.

A handsome boy was standing in front of her.

“Sorry,” Zaroon said softly before walking toward his seat.

Zimal froze for a moment.

Her heart began beating faster.

The boy sitting beside her was the same person she had liked since her very first day at college.

From the beginning, she had loved his smile and the calm way he spoke.

Now that he was sitting so close to her, she had no idea how to behave—or what to say.

A few moments later, the teacher entered the classroom and began the lecture.

But for Zimal, concentrating was almost impossible.

She couldn’t focus on a single word.

Among the crowded hallways and endless noise, her eyes kept searching for only one person.

Zaroon.

After some time, the teacher called Zaroon’s name and asked him to solve a question on the board.

Before Zimal could even react, Zaroon stood confidently and walked toward the board.

He solved the question with ease.

Zimal simply watched him in silence, her nervousness growing with every passing second.

When he finished, Zaroon returned to his seat beside her.

Soon, the lecture ended.

One of Zaroon’s friends came over and pulled him away.

Zimal felt disappointed.

She hadn’t even gotten the chance to speak to him.

As she walked outside with her friends, a strange sadness filled her heart.

It was their final year of college.

Maybe…

She would never find the courage to tell him how she truly felt.

To Zimal, talking to Zaroon felt like an impossible dream.

The college day finally ended, and the students began leaving for home.

Later that evening, Zaroon sat alone in the library.

After gathering every bit of courage she had, Zimal slowly entered.

Her hands were trembling.

She took a deep breath before approaching him.

“Zaroon… may I take some of your time?” she asked nervously.

Zaroon looked at her calmly and nodded.

“Yes, you can.”

Zimal swallowed nervously.

“I… really wanted to tell you something.”

Suddenly, a sharp pain appeared in her chest.

Her hands began shaking.

Thousands of thoughts rushed through her mind.

What if he hates me?

What if he stops talking to me?

What if he thinks badly of me?

But despite all her fears, she wanted him to know how deeply she loved him.

Zaroon waited quietly.

For a moment, Zimal felt as if her heartbeat had stopped.

Then, finally, those three words escaped her lips.

“I like you.”

Zimal suddenly opened her eyes and sat upright in bed.

“Gosh… again?” she whispered tiredly.

It was the same dream.

The same fear.

The same unknown feeling that had been haunting her night after night.

She rubbed her face and slowly got out of bed.

After getting ready, she left for work.

Zimal worked at one of the country’s biggest development companies—a powerful organization known for major land-development projects and massive construction ventures.

The company was respected, influential, and feared by many.

Getting a job there was not easy.

Somehow, Zimal had managed to get the opportunity almost by pure luck.

On her way to work, she met her best friend, Afifa, who also worked at the same company.

The moment Afifa saw Zimal’s tired face, she sighed dramatically.

“Don’t tell me…”

Zimal looked at her.

“You had that weird dream again?”

Zimal remained quiet for a moment before nodding.

“Yes… again.”

Afifa rolled her eyes.

“Please stop thinking about it.

I’m in a really good mood today, and I don’t want your horror dreams ruining it.”

A small smile appeared on Zimal’s face.

“Let me guess… someone has made a place in your heart again?”

Afifa gasped dramatically.

“How do you always figure me out so quickly?”

Zimal laughed.

“Because you fall in love every two business days.”

Afifa ignored the teasing and continued excitedly.

“This time, he’s different.

He’s rich, handsome, tall, innocent-looking, and—”

“Enough,” Zimal interrupted, laughing.

“This is nothing new.

We’ve reached the office, so stop talking nonsense.”

Afifa crossed her arms playfully.

“Okay, madam.”

The two friends entered the company building together.

The atmosphere inside was as serious as ever.

Employees hurried from one department to another, carefully focused on their work.

Zimal quietly sat at her desk and continued working on the unfinished tasks from the previous day.

After a while, their manager, Ibrahim, entered the department with a new employee beside him.

“Miss Zimal,” Ibrahim said professionally, “I want you to guide our new employee and explain the company rules and work system to him.”

“Yes, sir,” Zimal replied politely.

“Good.

Also, everyone needs to gather in the CEO’s office in ten minutes.”

With that, Ibrahim left.

The moment his words sank in, the atmosphere inside the department changed.

Everyone became noticeably nervous.

Some employees quickly checked their files, while others straightened their clothes and prepared themselves for the meeting.

The new employee looked confused.

“Miss Zimal,” he asked quietly, “why is everyone acting like this?”

He paused.

“I think I saw the CEO once.

He doesn’t look that scary.

Actually… he looks quite handsome.”

Zimal looked at him for a moment before answering.

“Mr.

Sahriar Sikander isn’t just a CEO…”

Her voice lowered.

“Everyone in this company fears him.”

The employee looked surprised.

“You’re new here, right?”

He nodded.

Zimal gave him a nervous smile.

“Then remember one thing carefully…”

She leaned slightly closer.

“Never make Sahriar Sikander angry.”

The employee swallowed.

“A single mistake can cost you your job,” Zimal continued, “especially if it happens in front of him.”

“He may look calm,” she added, “but Sahriar Sikander is the kind of man nobody dares to challenge.”

The employee listened carefully.

“In this company, his words are treated like orders.

Nobody dares to ignore him.”

Zimal glanced toward the CEO’s office.

“He controls this entire empire with a single decision.

That’s the kind of power Sahriar Sikander has.”

She paused.

“One signature from him can build someone’s career…”

Her expression became serious.

“…or destroy it completely.”

The employee became even more nervous.

“People don’t fear only his anger,” Zimal whispered.

“They fear his power.”

She looked toward the large glass office at the end of the hallway.

“This company runs according to Mr.

Sahriar Sikander’s rules…”

She paused.

“And nobody dares to break them.”

The new employee finally introduced himself.

“My name is Zawar,” he said politely.

Zimal nodded.

“People fear his name, respect his power, and envy his success,” she continued.

“Sahriar Sikander is one of the youngest and most ruthless CEOs in the country.”

She paused before continuing.

“His father, Chairman Sikander Hayat, owns multiple companies around the world.

But this company—and several businesses in London and America—are personally controlled by Mr.

Sahriar Sikander.”

Zawar stared at her in shock.

“But despite all that success,” Zimal continued, “he’s rude, arrogant, strict, and almost always in a bad mood.”

She sighed.

“Sometimes it feels as if he thinks the entire world belongs to him.”

Afifa suddenly joined the conversation.

“So stay away from him if you want peace in your life.”

Zimal laughed softly.

“Exactly.”

Zawar nodded carefully.

“Understood, Miss Zimal.”

A few moments later, everyone gathered inside the CEO’s office.

The room fell completely silent the moment Sahriar Sikander entered.

His cold eyes_____ that black and Red with angry swept across the room before he calmly took his seat.

Nobody dared to speak unnecessarily.

The meeting began.

For nearly an hour, Sahriar discussed company matters while everyone listened carefully.

Every employee measured their words before speaking.

Finally, the meeting ended.

One by one, the employees quietly returned to their departments.

Zimal spent some time explaining the company’s rules and work system to Zawar before returning to her own tasks.

By evening, she finally returned home.

Her house was beautiful and peaceful, but there was one place she loved more than anywhere else.

Her room.

Unlike the rest of the house, Zimal had decorated it exactly the way she wanted.

It looked like a small princess room, filled with soft lights, books, flowers, and warm colors.

After dinner, she quietly went upstairs.

She had never been particularly close to them family.

Her family was small—her father, mother, elder brother Zakaria, and herself.

Yet Zimal had always preferred keeping to herself.

Without saying much, she lay down on her bed, exhausted from the long day.

Just as she was about to fall asleep, her phone suddenly rang.

It was Afifa.

Zimal answered lazily.

“What now?”

Afifa sounded unusually excited.

“Someone is literally dying to get your number.

Should I give it to him?”

Zimal immediately frowned.

“Afifa, please stop your nonsense.”

“I’m serious this time.”

“Who even wants my number?”

Afifa laughed mysteriously.

“If I tell you his name, you’ll be shocked.”

Zimal rolled her eyes.

“I’m not interested.”

“Really?” Afifa teased.

“Not even a little curious?”

“No,” Zimal replied stubbornly, lying back on her bed.

“And thanks, but I don’t want my number shared with random people.”

Afifa laughed loudly from the other side of the call.

“Fine… but don’t regret it later.”

Zimal ended the call.

For a few seconds, she simply stared at the ceiling.

She didn’t know why, but an uneasy feeling suddenly settled over her heart.

Something felt wrong.

Something she couldn’t explain.

And somewhere deep inside…

She felt as if the strange dream she’d been having every night wasn’t merely a dream.

It was a warning.
