At two in the morning, Julianna Garland opened her eyes in the First District Hospital.

She had been shaken awake.

Upon opening her eyes, she saw three or four men and women in dark uniforms carrying briefcases gathered around her.Full novel: The Galaxy’s Greatest Farmer — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Standing to her left was a tall, thin man in a white lab coat.

His face was obscured by a mask.

He had just retracted his hand.

Seeing Julianna’s gaze, the exposed skin around his eyes crinkled into a few wrinkles, as if he were smiling.

The man took his hand out of his pocket, revealing an object that looked like a laser pointer.

At the same time, his other hand pried her eyelids open.

Then, a faint blue light shone into Julianna’s pupils.

She only heard a man say:

“Name: Julianna Garland.

Gender: Female.

Age: 22.

Blood type—

“The patient fainted for unknown reasons three days ago.

She was discovered by local neighborhood workers and sent to the First District Hospital.

“Currently, the patient’s body temperature and heart rate are normal.

Scans of her blood, brain, and internal organs show no diseases or trauma.

Her bodily functions are good, with a minor deficiency in trace elements.

Corresponding supplements will be prescribed later to replenish her body—”

Illuminated by the blue light, Julianna’s vision went black.

At the same time, her brain was BUZZING, and she felt a splitting headache.

All the strength was drained from her body.

The moment she woke up, countless chaotic memories flooded her mind.

She could not help but let out a painful gasp, her brows knitting together tightly.

Hearing her cry of pain, the man who had been speaking frowned.

He raised his wrist and brought a small instrument worn there close to her ear.

Julianna only heard a DING from the machine, followed by a mechanical female voice:

“Brain neurons are abnormally active.”

“Huh?” The man in the white coat immediately adopted a serious expression.

“Why did the data suddenly change?”

He looked at Julianna.

“Julianna Garland, are you conscious?”

Enduring the agonizing pain in her brain, Julianna nodded at his words.

The man’s tone relaxed as he asked another question.

“Do you remember who you are?”

Hearing this, she was just about to answer.

“I—”

But the moment the word left her mouth, a massive surge of memories erupted in her mind, instantly causing excruciating pain in her head.

The next second, her consciousness scattered.

Right before passing out, she heard the previously steady-voiced man crying out in alarm.

“The patient’s brain neurons became active for an unknown reason, and she subsequently fell into a coma.

Consider the possibility of a parasitic infection from a new, unknown viral strain.”

Julianna knew nothing of what happened next.

By the time she woke up again, it was already the afternoon of the following day.

While she was unconscious, she dreamt continuously.

Chaotic, disorganized memories appeared in her dreams.

She knew her name was Julianna Garland.

She was originally an ordinary person on Earth, hailing from a small town.

She had an older brother, and after graduating from university, she stayed to work in the provincial capital where her school was located.

Over her five years of working, most of the money she saved had been borrowed by her parents.

Aside from financial transactions, she rarely kept in touch with her family.

Not long ago, she had been diagnosed with an illness during a medical checkup at her workplace.

She was just considering whether to resign and take some time off to recover when she received a call from her parents.

They did not call to ask about her health, but rather to bring up the family’s difficulties.

During the ensuing argument with her parents, Julianna fainted out of sheer anger.

When she woke up again, she was no longer on Earth, but in an unfamiliar space and time.

This was an Astral Domain named Novus, existing an unknown number of years after the Earth era.

Meanwhile, another consciousness completely contradicted her earlier one.

This consciousness also believed her name was Julianna Garland.

However, she was not from Earth, but a native of Novus, living in the main Astral Domain of Novus.

Her parents were refugees from another Astral Domain who had fled here in their early years.

They had survived on government subsidies and odd jobs.

Six years ago, due to chronic malnutrition, her parents became frail and could not afford medical treatment, eventually wasting away and dying one after the other.

She was left all alone to fend for herself.

Ultimately, Julianna borrowed money from the government in the form of a student loan, working part-time while studying.

Just a month ago, she finally managed to complete her studies.

She was in the midst of looking for suitable job opportunities when she suddenly fainted during an interview three days ago.

Subsequently, she was sent to the hospital by the staff of the employment agency.

Julianna’s scattered consciousness quickly revived as the memories merged into one.

She was originally the Julianna Garland who lived on Earth.

After losing consciousness during a dispute with her parents, she woke up reborn in Novus, having become another Julianna Garland who shared her exact name.
