Silent departure and Letters

The girl and the servant

The royal bedchamber was a cavern of dark velvet and gilded shadows, smelling of sweat, musk, and the faint, cloying scent of perfumed oils.

King Theron lay sprawled upon the vast mattress, his thick, bare torso a pale mound against the silken sheets. Above him, Queen Elara moved with a desperate, furious rhythm, her lithe body glistening with a sheen of perspiration. Her thighs gripped his hips, her hands planted on his chest for leverage as she drove herself down onto him again, and again, and again.

The slick, hot union of their bodies was a mechanical thing. Her inner muscles clenched around his girth, a practiced, weary squeeze. His cock, buried deep inside her, pulsed with a dull, steady arousal, but his attention was elsewhere. His eyes were fixed on a parchment held in his ring laden hand, the candlelight beside the bed illuminating the script.

“Gods,” Elara gasped, her breath coming in sharp, ragged pulls. She leaned forward, her dark hair falling around her face, trying to capture his gaze. “Look at me, Theron. Feel me.” She rocked harder, grinding herself against him, seeking the friction that might spark something… anything…in his bored, distant expression.

He didn’t look up. A low chuckle escaped him, his eyes scanning the parchment.

“My brother's words are more tantalizing than your efforts, my queen,” he murmured, his voice thick with arousal that had nothing to do with her.

Elara’s rhythm faltered. A flash of raw, seething anger crossed her face. She reached out, her fingers attempting to gently pull the letter from his grasp.

“Forget the letter. I am here. I am your wife.”

Theron’s reaction was swift and brutal. His free hand…the one not holding the parchment… snapped up and slapped her across the face. The crack echoed in the chamber. Not a hard blow, but a dismissive, insulting one. She recoiled, her cheek stinging, her momentum broken.

“Do not,” he hissed, his eyes finally lifting to meet hers, but they were cold, amused. “Your attempts to distract are pathetic. This…” he shook the parchment slightly, “…this is what stirs my blood tonight.” He shifted slightly beneath her, his hips giving a lazy, unenthusiastic thrust.

“The detail he provides. The way he describes the fullness of her… it paints a picture far more vivid than the worn canvas before me.”

Humiliation, hot and acrid, flooded Elara’s veins. She sat upon him, feeling the intrusive, unyielding presence of his cock inside her, now a symbol of his disdain. Her own body, which had once commanded his fervent attention, was now just a vessel he used while his mind wandered to the woman in the letter.

“Ride,” he commanded, his voice dropping to a guttural, impatient growl. “Faster. You have your duty. Perform it.”

The command was a whip crack. Her pride screamed to disobey, to roll off him and leave him to his filthy fantasies. But years of conditioned obedience, of political survival, took hold. Her body, betraying her heart, obeyed. Her thighs tightened, and she began to move again, a frantic, piston like motion that had nothing of pleasure, only of desperate, degrading service.

Slap. Slap. Slap.

The wet sound of their joining filled the room, punctuated by her increasingly labored breaths. She closed her eyes, trying to lose herself in the physical sensation, the burn in her muscles, the deep, stretching fullness. But his words echoed in her skull, poisoning every touch.

“He writes of her walk,” Theron mused aloud, his eyes returning to the letter. “A sway that could calm a storm or stir one… ha! And the roundness of her rear, how it…” He trailed off, a lewd smile spreading across his face. His free hand left the parchment and groped roughly at Elara’s hip, not caressing, but measuring.

“You’ve grown wide, Elara. Soft. The childbearing years have left their mark. But Anya… Corvus claims she retains a firm, voluptuous plumpness. A ripe fruit, yet untouched by the bruising of time.”

Each word was a dagger. Elara rode him with a furious, mechanical intensity, her nails digging into his chest. She could feel his arousal building, his cock thickening slightly inside her, but it was not for her. It was for the phantom image conjured by the ink on that page. Her own movements, her own body, were merely the physical engine for his mental voyeurism.

“Enough,” he grunted suddenly.

Before she could process the word, his hands gripped her hips hard and shoved. He pushed her off him, his member sliding out of her with a wet, abrupt pop. She tumbled sideways onto the mattress, her body sprawling, exposed and spent.

Theron sat up, swinging his legs off the bed. He tossed the parchment onto the bedside table and stood, his naked form looming over her. He looked down at her, sprawled and panting, with a gaze of pure, clinical appraisal.

“You’ve served your purpose,” he said, his tone flat and final. “But a king’s tastes… evolve. A man needs variety. Freshness.” He gestured vaguely at her body. “You have gotten old. And you have gotten wide. Perhaps it is time for a change.”

Elara lay there, the cold air of the chamber hitting her sweat-slicked skin. The emptiness between her thighs was a physical ache, but the emptiness in his words was a mortal wound. She stared at him, her stormy eyes blazing with a hatred so profound it felt like a second heartbeat.

Theron ignored her. He picked up the letter again, a thoughtful, hungry look settling on his face. “My brother is a man of keen observation.”

He turned, walking toward his dressing screen, leaving her naked and discarded on the vast, lonely bed, the ghost of another woman’s curves hanging in the air between them, more potent, more, than the queen who had just shared his.

The royal bedchamber still smelled of their earlier, failed coupling. King Theron, now robed in crimson silk, paced before the cold hearth. Queen Elara stood rigid by the window, her back to him, her arms wrapped tightly around herself as if to hold her shattered dignity inside.

“You will sit,” Theron commanded, not looking at her. He clapped his hands twice, sharply.

The main doors opened. Two young girls were ushered in. They were perhaps eighteen, with identical wide, dark eyes and long, unbound hair. They wore simple, sheer shifts of white linen that did nothing to hide the slender curves of their bodies, the pertness of their small breasts, the shadow between their thighs.

Virgins.

They trembled, their gazes fixed on the floor.

“There,” Theron said, a smile spreading across his face as he pointed to a high-backed chair at the foot of the bed. “Sit, Elara. And watch. Learn what freshness truly stirs.”

Elara turned, her face pale as ash. “I will not.”

“You will,” he said, his voice dropping to a dangerous purr. “Or I will have the guards hold your eyes open. Sit.”

The humiliation was a physical blow. She moved as if in a trance, lowering herself into the chair. Her spine did not touch the backrest. She was a prisoner in her own chambers.

Theron shrugged off his robe, letting it pool at his feet. His member, already half-swollen with anticipation, jutted from a thatch of coarse hair. He beckoned the first slave. “You. Come here. Read to me.” He thrust Corvus’s letter into her hands. The second girl he pointed toward the bed. “You. On your knees.”

The first slave, her hands shaking, began to read in a soft, halting voice. “…The way the wench walked. Every step a jiggle, a bounce, a temptation. Two soft, pale mounds of rising dough, fighting one another for space beneath that thin cloth…”

As the words filled the room, the second slave knelt before the king. Theron tangled a hand in her hair, not gently, and guided her mouth to him. She gasped, then obeyed, her lips parting to take him in. A hot, wet seal. Elara watched, her stomach churning, as the girl’s head began to bob, her cheeks hollowing.

“…I would take her in the arse. I would…” the reading slave continued, her voice gaining a shaky rhythm, “spit upon her hole for want of oil, and …”

Theron groaned, his head lolling back. “Yes,” he hissed. “There. Use your tongue.” He thrust shallowly into the kneeling girl’s mouth, his hips pumping. The wet, slick sounds of her servitude mingled with the descriptive prose. Elara’s nails dug into the carved wood of the chair arms. She was forced to watch her husband’s pleasure, forced to hear another woman’s body… Anya’s body… praised as the inspiration for it.

“ I wager,” the reader whispered, “ she is tighter there than a virgin’s cunt…”

“Enough reading,” Theron grunted, pushing the kneeling girl away. She fell back, lips slick and bruised, gasping for air. He grabbed the reader by the wrist, pulling her to the bed. “Now, you show me. Show me what such a woman would feel like.”

He laid back, pulling the trembling girl on top of him. She straddled his hips, her shift rucked up around her waist. Theron’s thick fingers found her core, probing. She flinched, a tiny whimper escaping her. “please…”

“Silence,” he growled, working a finger inside her tight, passage.

Ah. So snug. Imagine… imagine it is her.

He positioned himself, his broad crown pressing against her entrance. With a brutal, upward surge of his hips, he sheathed himself inside her in one tearing thrust.

The girl cried out, a sharp sound of pain and shock. Her body went rigid. Theron groaned in profound satisfaction, his eyes sliding shut.

“Gods… yes. That resistance. The tight, hot clutch of untouched flesh.” He began to move, a slow, deep, grinding rhythm, his hands gripping her narrow hips hard enough to bruise.

Elara watched, her own body cold. She saw the girl’s face, contorted in a mix of pain and bewildered arousal as the king’s relentless strokes began to stir an unwanted response. The girl’s small breasts bounced with each drive. The other slave watched, silent.

“You see, Elara?” Theron panted, his eyes opening to pin her. “This is life. This is heat. Not your tired, dutiful grinding.” He slammed up into the girl, making her sob. “This one… she might be shaped like a boy, but she burns inside.”

Lyssa stirred from the depths of sleep like a flower unfurling under the first light of dawn, her eyelids fluttering open to the soft, golden haze filtering through her chamber's curtains.

The world felt hazy, warm, and intimately cocooned under the heavy blanket. She turned slowly, her body a lithe curve beneath the fabric, the blanket peeling back just enough to reveal a tantalizing glimpse of her naked ass cheeks, their smooth, pale skin glowing in the morning sun like forbidden fruit. Rustle, sigh... A soft exhale escaped her lips as the cool air kissed the exposed flesh, sending a shiver up her spine that was both innocent and wickedly arousing. Her mind, still foggy from dreams of tangled limbs, registered the sensation as a delightful tease, her hips wiggling instinctively to chase the warmth.

She turned again, seeking a more comfortable position, her hand reaching out across the mattress… and landing on something solid, warm, and unmistakably male.

Her fingers pressed into a firm, muscular shoulder. Her sleep-addled brain clicked. She remembered.

Oh.

Last night, after the orchard, she had grabbed Kian and dragged him. “You’re not sleeping in horse shit tonight,” she’d whispered fiercely, her voice a mix of command and tender care. He’d come willingly, but with wide, shy eyes, climbing through her window after her. They’d curled together under this blanket, naked and spent…after a bath together … his strong arms wrapped around her, his breath warm on her neck. It had been the safest, most peaceful sleep she’d ever known.

Now, panic surged. Someone could come.

She nudged him urgently. “Kian. Wake up.”

He stirred, his dark eyes blinking open, meeting hers with a soft, sleepy confusion that quickly sharpened into understanding.

“You need to leave. Now,” she whispered, her voice tight. “Before the servants come.”

He moved with a silent, efficient grace that sent a thrill through her. He slid from the bed, his nude body a beautiful, lean sculpture in the morning light. He gathered his simple trousers and tunic from the floor, dressing quickly, his movements precise and quiet. He was at the window in moments, one hand on the sill, ready to climb down.

Lyssa scrambled from the bed, the blanket falling away completely. She rushed to him, caught his face, and pulled him into a last, deep kiss. It was a kiss of pure possession, of stolen time, her tongue delving into his mouth, tasting the sleep on his lips. Then, with a playful, daring grin, she leaned back and slapped his ass…a firm, crisp smack that echoed in the quiet room. He flinched, then looked at her with a startled, heated gaze. She giggled softly. “Go. Quickly… don't break your neck,"

He nodded, a ghost of a smile touching his lips, and slipped out the window, disappearing down the trellis below. She watched him vanish, her heart a tangled knot of affection and anxiety.

A minute later, the door opened. A servant girl…young, with a plain face… entered without knocking. “Your bath is ready, milady.”

Lyssa’s bath was a ritual of lingering sensation. The water was scalding hot, scented with lavender oil. She sank into it, letting the heat seep into her muscles, which still carried the delicious, deep aches from Kian’s thorough use of her body. She traced the faint scrapes on her back from the tree bark, the tender swell of her lips, the memory of his weight and strength. Her hands wandered under the water, over her stomach, her thighs, touching herself with a lazy, possessive curiosity. She was marked by him, and the thought made her core tighten with a fresh, low thrum of desire. She soaked until the water cooled, her mind replaying every thrust, every gasp, every silent command of his body.

Down at the breakfast table in the great hall, the atmosphere was thick with unspoken tensions, the air scented with fresh bread and simmering resentment. Lady Anya and Barlon were already seated, with Anya perched on his lap like a playful queen, her fingers twirling through his beard in a gesture that was both affectionate and possessive. Barlon’s face was a mask of grim preoccupation.

Lyssa descended the stairs fully dressed in a fitted gown of emerald silk that hugged her curves, the fabric whispering against her skin with each step. She moved with a cold, regal grace.

Barlon looked up, his mouth opening to greet her. “Lyssa…”

She ignored him completely. She walked past the table, took a seat at the far end, and poured herself a cup of cold water from a pitcher. She did not look at him. She did not acknowledge his presence. The silence that followed was brittle and heavy.

Lady Anya, ever the peacemaker, leaned her head against Barlon’s shoulder, a silent comfort. She kissed his temple, her eyes watching Lyssa with a mixture of pity and understanding. Barlon’s jaw tightened, but he said nothing. The meal passed in that unbearable quiet, his eyes glancing up at his daughter repeatedly, trying to find words that wouldn’t come.

Suddenly, the great hall's doors burst open with a dramatic flourish,

A messenger, panting and covered in road dust, burst into the hall. “Message! Urgent message for Lord Barlon!”

Lady Anya rose smoothly from Barlon’s lap, took the sealed parchment from the man’s trembling hand, and presented it to her husband. Barlon broke the seal, his eyes scanning the contents. His face went pale, then hardened into grim resolution.

“The King,” he announced, his voice filling the hall. “He summons us. Immediately. The entire family.”

Preparations for the convoy were swift and chaotic, the estate buzzing like a disturbed hive. Servants loaded carriages with finery and gifts… boxes of silks, jewels, and exotic fruits destined for the King…while the family donned their best attire.

As they gathered at the gates, Anya turned to her little mouse…the servant girl… " Go to my chambers later: a little gift awaits you there," she said, her voice a clever, enigmatic purr that hinted at secrets. The girl nodded, her eyes widening with curiosity.

The convoy departed in a grand procession, wheels rumbling over the cobblestone path…rumble, clatter… carriages pulled by sleek horses, flanked by guards. From her window, Lyssa glanced out, her eyes locking on Kian in the distance, the stable boy left behind as per the unyielding rules of their world… Stables boys never leave their lords' estates, even when traveling…

Her eyes found his across the distance. She didn’t smile. She didn’t wave. She just looked at him, pouring every ounce of her feeling into that gaze…a goodbye, a promise, a silent scream of I will miss you.

The journey was long and strained. Inside the carriage, Barlon, Lyssa, and Anya sat in stiff silence. Barlon and Lyssa avoided each other’s eyes, the air between them frozen. Anya sat between them, a beautiful, awkward buffer, her hands folded neatly in her lap, her gaze occasionally meeting Lyssa’s with a soft, unspoken sympathy.

The King’s palace was a monument of oppressive grandeur. They were led through vast, echoing halls to the throne room. Inside, the scene was set like a trap.

Lord Corvus was there, standing to the right of the King’s throne, his bulk a looming shadow. The King himself… Theron… was a man of sharp, calculating eyes. His wife, the Queen…Elara… sat beside him, a woman with a face of cold, carved beauty and a gaze that held a simmering, quiet jealousy.

They all bowed slightly as they entered, taking their assigned seats.

The King’s voice was a smooth, dangerous oil. “Barlon. Your girls are as beautiful as the rumors suggest.” His eyes lingered on Anya’s elegant form, then slid to Lyssa’s tense, youthful beauty. “A credit to your house.”

The Queen’s gaze followed his, landing on Anya . Her eyes were not warm. They were sharp, calculating, and jealous.

Back at the manor, after the convoy had departed.

In Lyssa’s chamber, a servant girl… following strict, whispered instructions from Lyssa… had prepared a bath and a simple meal of bread and cheese on a tray for Kian, along with a sticky letter she had left him…its wax seal smeared with her essence.

Think of me when you bathe. Think of me when you eat. Think of me everywhere.

In Lady Anya’s chambers, the servant girl…little mouse… entered, her heart pounding. On the wide bed, perfectly laid out, was her “gift.”

It was a collection of Lady Anya’s undergarments… fine, lace-trimmed silks and soft linens. A small, folded note rested atop them. The girl picked it up, her fingers trembling.

One of these I wore this morning. It is not washed. Your task is to find which one it is. Then… keep it.”

The girl’s breath caught. She leaned over the array of garments, her nose close, seeking the faint, intimate scent of the woman who had dominated her, the scent that would now belong to her alone.
