A man with white hair could be seen walking around without any sense of direction. The man could be called homeless, but that would be an insult to homeless people.
This man is more than homeless, apart from the home this man does not have, there are more things the man did not have.
If you are wondering who the man is, yes that man is me, lupingo, the me of 10 years ago, before the rise of the great me in the future.
After witnessing the execution of a villain in front of me and decided that I would be the king of villains, I decided that the first thing I need in this world is power, so for the past 8 months I have been sleeping on road side and investigating waste bin. The live of a poor man is not something to be envious about.
The work that I have been doing so far are works that require my strength, I have been working for construction site, anything that requires heavy lifting I am there to do it.
So far I had gain enough money to finally rent an apartment, but as I am I can’t go looking like this. My clothes is something that don’t require me to say, just know mad person couldn’t be caught wearing it. So I look for cheap store to buy some clothes in.
Yes, I said cheap store, although I have money now, so I can’t go spending it anyhow, I know how many bricks and stairs I have to go through to get the money.
I soon see the kind of store I am looking for, I saw clothes for 15 euros, I tried to price the clothes down but the woman didn’t agree, she said that the price is already cheap enough. In my mind I did not agree with her, I still have the intention of pricing it to 5 euros. But I just decided not to, why you may ask, I believe the woman will use the stick next to her to send me packing if I utter that amount.
After buying my clothes, I went inside a close corner at the back, where tall buildings can hide my dignity. I changed my clothes into something more comfortable to where, and that is a joggers and a large shirt with a nice expensive knockoff shoe.
I believe that I was dripping with swag after I was done wearing the clothes. I then decided to go house hunting, I can’t continue to sleep on the road side with all the new things I am wearing and having. I could be robbed because of my swag and my mind wouldn’t be able to take that.
I forgot to tell you house renting are not cheap at all, the price is off the roof, some cheap price of house are in the millions, yes I called millions cheap, because compare to the costly one that are in billions of euros, I believe millions of euros where cheap. thankfully the works have good pay, if not the house for sale will forever be on sale. When I saw house in billions of euros, the thing in my mind is that maybe the house is made from gold and diamond itself, and it is fitted with rare high tech technology. But I was wrong, the house was just large with a lot of open space for fresh air, beautiful open terrace, some are planted with trees. After seeing this i asked them is that all, is there not more things, maybe a diamond plated toilets, a holographic television that has all the cables on it, with subscription to all the channels.
The man replied that no, they don’t do that, that they are only required to give you house and provide security for the tenant. The annoying thing was that the man said all this with a smile like I will understand where he is coming from.
I too just nod to the man that I understand him, in my mind I was just thinking that, god I have finally know the reason why I have to be a villain, and the reason is to rip of people like this man from their money. I couldn’t help but smile to that thought.
While I was having my inner monologue the man asked me, how much is my budget. I could already sense something was going to go wrong if I answer that question, but I still did it anyway, who cares about the repercussion, I am curious and I need to satiate my curiosity, any repercussion after that is for the future me to sought out.
I told him that my budget is in the millions of euros. As soon as I said that, the man friendly disappear from his mouth to be replaced by a get out kind of smile. He then said.
"I am sorry, but this business does not cater to the need of the lower class people, we only cater to higher class people. All our houses are in the billions of euros price range. If you are looking for house in the millions of euros you would see in other place."
In my mind I was interpreting the man words as.
"we don’t do business with poor people, get out and don’t come to our enterprise again unless you suddenly become rich"
I know that the mind is just doing is job and he shouldn’t be judged for doing his job, but it just annoying being referred to as poor even though it is somehow true.
I was really thinking about that poor people part, in my original world, people with millions of euros are considered rich, and in this place they are considered poor. I know this is my novel but I didn’t remember writing anything about house price in my novel. I guess this is the plot holes in my novel that has been filled with utter nonsense.
I just said okay to what the man said, I then left the hous to another one that is at my price range. I later saw a house of 250millions of euros for one year duration. It is like the times five of a studio apartment, it has a kitchen, three bedrooms, a toilet and a parlor.
You may be wondering why only me will rent a house like this when I could rent a self contained house, the answer is I don’t really know. I just felt that the extra rooms may come in handy one day. So I bought it just in case.
After I rent the house, I found it plain, no furnitures or utensils or house decorating materials so I went out to look for it.
Thankfully, I quickly saw the stores with this house amenities, the store are lined in a straight line to themselves. It made it easy for buyers to buy things. I Couldn’t carry the load home myself, I only have normal human strength, I don’t have superhuman strength, thankfully the store has a home delivery service system. I ask them when they could bring all my stuff for me, I was told to wait to the next morning, I guessed we are already in the night, time for sure move fast when you are house hunting.
In my mind I was thinking that will I have to sleep on the cold hard floor again. I thought I am going to live that live alone, I guess one last time doesn’t hurt.
While I was walking home, I saw mini food mall like all those Mr Giggs, ShopMite, Rominos kind of mall, I then remembered I haven’t eaten since my last dumpster search, so I decided to live a rich live for now on and finally live the dumpster live behind.
I enter inside the mall, I immediately went to order, I saw different session, I saw burger, pizza, meat pie, fish pie, sausage rolls, shawarma e.t.c, in my mind I regard most of them as fancy bread, the bread with fancy assortment on it. I saw spaghetti, jollof and fried rice with chicken, I saw all those jumbo kind of chicken, all those kind of chicken that one store in my home world famously sell, and they are well known for it and many more
All this many choices is too much for my mind, the dumpster live was more easier, you don’t have to choose from different fancies, it is either thousand of garbage with one fancy, a very easy choice where you just have to find the fancy. But now I have to search through different fancy food for the one I want, maybe I should choose one of those fancy bread with assortment.
