It is time to tell Lamar the truth about his birth and his destiny. I am having so much anxiety. Not only do I have to reveal the circumstances surrounding his parents death, but I also have to reveal to him that supernatural beings are real and that everyone that he is close to in his life has been keeping their true identities a secret from him. I most certainly have to tell him now because he will be able to shift into his wolf form and come into his true powers at midnight tomorrow. Tony, Kamari, Erik, and myself included will have to tell him the real role that we play in his life. We all have been planning this “intervention” for the past month. I am so afraid that he will feel angry, betrayed and hurt that we kept all of this from him. I truly believe that I did what was best for him by allowing Lamar to live a happy peaceful childhood as a human. Oh I know he will be confused and he may not believe us so we have decided to reveal all of this to him together as those who love him. We will more than likely have to reveal our true forms to him and hope he doesn’t run for the hills. Each one of us will take turns revealing our part in his story and how this will affect his future and destiny. I will go first, then Tony, Kamari, and Erik. Erik will go last because he will help train and guide Lamar to take his rightful place.

It is the day before my 18th birthday at midnight I will officially be 18. The day started just like every other day. Tony and I got dressed for school and headed out the door to pick up Kamari for school. Kamari and Erik did not spend the night at our house last night. I was quite curious as to why they did not spend the night like every other night for the past month.
School went very well today. I have no complaints. I could not wait for school to be done today though because while Tony and I have had the same classes together since kindergarten, I have no classes with Kamari and I miss looking into her beautiful eyes. I am so gone for her and it was torture being away from her last night. I have only seen her for 20 minutes today and that was on our ride to school. In two days, Tony, Kamari and I will be signing the lease for our new apartment when are all officially 18. I sure can’t wait. When I arrive home from school with Tony and Kamari, I notice that Erik and my mother are sitting at the dining room table with a serious look on their faces. They motion for the three of us to sit at the table with them. What could be so serious that as I look around the table everyone has an nervous look on their faces? What is it that that I am missing? Does everyone know something that I do not know? I start to feel uneasy and I feel a sense of dread in the pit of my stomach. Whatever it is I sense it to be life changing for me. I have never seen everyone with such serious looks on their faces. My mind races as I try to rack my brain in trying to pinpoint if I had done something wrong. I look around waiting for someone to start this serious conversation. My mother begins to tell me this strange tale and I feel like I have been hit by a ton of bricks over top of my head. I feel so heavy and I dread what else I need to know. I am in a well drowning and everyone I love has lied to me this whole time.

Where do I begin as I sit across the dining room table looking at the man that I raised from birth. I must start at the night he was born…18 years ago
That night his parents were murdered in cold blood while I was in the next room cleaning off Lamar from his birth. I could hear loud noises and an ear piercing scream before dead silence. I wait for a few minutes before I enter into the next room. What I see when I enter the room still haunts me to this day. The smell of death burns my nostrils. I see the lifeless eyes of what used to be Lamar’s mother and father. I hear loud voices. Someone asks where is the kid, we have to make sure the kid is dead too. I look down at Lamar who is the quietest baby and I run out the back door with him. I can not let him be murdered like what I saw done to his parents. I will raise him as my own, but first I must cloak our essences so that we are undetectable. I am grateful for one of the gifts that I am blessed to have. I put up the shield and head to the human town. We will appear like humans until Lamar’s 18th birthday.
