The Dire-alqamar

THE LAND OF MIGICA AND THE REVIVAL OF PEACE

(Narrator: Alhila) I joined the five of them. Before we had to climb the Wahums, the tall moon illusionist whose name I caught is Ijan, covered the eyes of the fire mage whose name I caught is Vibhuti with his scarf and her ears with a muffler and gave her something that made her drift to sleep. When I asked him what he did that for, he responded, “She is still juvenile, thus frightened by the misapprehensions of the Wahums; thus I sheltered her visual and auditory senses and put her in a state of slumber, thus she may be unhindered by the haunting misapprehensions.” “Then she must not come with us to find the Dire-alqamar, as the way over there is ten times worse from the Wahums, or from what I heard,” I said, which made him go paler than usual.

He nodded his head, and we started crossing the Wahums. This is my first time in a long time about ten years I am crossing the Wahums and entering civilisation. The journey was dangerous; however, out of the Nuṣb al-Qamar influence, I was able to see all the illusions, and they were terrifying. I could finally see the others were in an illusion of Qamariyyah. After the climb, we got into an SUV and drove for thirteen hours to a large high-end hotel.

Over there, I stayed with the fire warrior- Tejasvi, the nature potionist- Evanthia, and Vibhuti, whom Ijan placed in her bed and left to his room. After the long drive, we were all tired. The next day I woke up at six, a normal habit of mine. I headed to the balcony. I saw the tall sky scrapers the busy city, something I couldn’t see at the Nuṣb al-Qamar. Later, Ijan also stood at his balcony. We talked for a while about ancient artefacts and how we are going to find the Dire-alqamar. At one point, through the glass balcony door, he looked at Vibhuti, who was still sleeping peacefully, and the coldness in his eye melted to something soft. He then said, “I am aware of an enchantment which would discover an article through employing an article produced from the same article.” I was confused by his use of word, so I asked him to explain what he meant so he said, “in lea-human’s term I held, that I am aware of a spell that can find something using something formed from the same thing, like the Qamar-al-Mayrah and the Dire-alqamar produced from the same shingle, thus we can discover the location of the Dire-alqamar with the Qamar-al-Mayrah.” “Ohhh, cool, use that then,” I said to him. He then left, and in a few minutes he showed up at the door.

Then Ijan climbed up to Vibhuti and my section. He, with a lot of care, woke her up and said, “Vibhuti, would you assist me in an enchantment?” She nodded, freshened up, and came back. As she did so, she asked him, “So what is this enchantment about?” So he explained the spell to her, and she responded with, “Sounds like it is a cosmological spell, so the spell would be in the language of the object we need to find.” “Negative, it must be held in the native tongue of the enchanter.” “So, that means I need to say it in Agnrith.” “Affirmative.” They conversed.

So, Ijan and Vibhuti held each other's hands while keeping the Qamar-al-Mayrah in between. As they did so, Ijan chanted, “Tahdid-mawqie” while Vibhuti chanted, “Sthanam-dnyatavyam”, and the Qamar-al-Mayrah floated, and a purple intertwined with pink light streamed out of it. Ijan held it in his hand and instructed Vibhuti on what they should do to end the spell. “I am so excited to go on this quest; this would be my first time following a spell I cast.” She said with so much enthusiasm that I felt bad. Then Ijan sat her down and explained why she could not come with us. She got panicked and said, “no, you cannot just leave me alone in a different country, I am scared of being alone, what if something happens to you guys?” Ijan then took her Hollo-com and added a number in her contacts, then gave it back to her, “I included my holographic communicator digits into your contacts if you want some closure.” Then he placed a moon charm in her palm, “However, if something were to happen to us, this trinket would inform you; if it is in an unfavourable circumstance would glow a void then you must head over to the most proximate water body, dampen it against the surface of the dihydrogen-oxide and locate you sacredly at Agni.” Vibhuti felt reassured and nodded.

It was eight o’clock when we left. Ijan conned the Qamar-al-Mayrah to the SUV, and we followed the directions shown by the MPS.

It was a long drive, about fourteen hours on the skyway, and we reached one of the unknown regions, yaiks. There are many unknown regions in Migica, as those regions are covered by a magic that scares people away. Suppose there is a Mintaqat Alqamar Ghayr Maerufa, also called MAMG, that is an unknown place on the moon; then it is protected by illusion magic, and now we are going to one of the MAMG in Migica. As we reached there, Ijan gave Vibhuti a call, and when she picked it up, he said, “Greetings Vibhuti, we have arrived proximate to the Mintaqat Alqamar Ghayr Maerufa. I must confirm if you had consumed dinner” “Oh, well yes, I found some Agniya food in the hotel restaurant which was veg. I had some shahi paneer with naan, ok, so when you guys would be back.” “For the former, I am now relieved that you consumed something, and for the latter, we would arrive in another day or two.” “Oh, please come soon. I am feeling a bit scared.” “I will attempt my very best to arrive at you in advance.” “Thank you.” “You’re welcome.” “Bye.” “F.” They conversed then he ended the call.

We took a break for lunch at a seashore café. Then Ijan told us to hold each other's hands, and then he touched the shore and chanted, “Airfae-almada”, and we walked through the sea and came out through the other side at MAMG-1. It was a dark place covered with dark purple clouds. As we landed, there was barely any light, except for the streams of light that glowed brighter. As we got out of the SUV, we saw the place was creepy and loud with illusions. Ijan then wore some noise-cancelling headphones, which he could have got for all of us.

The illusions were scary which heavy flashes and loud noises. The water mage- Marin and Evanthia were the most scared out of us all. Marin was terrified and would scream, which sounded like it came from a throat of a girl. At one point, he and Evanthia clung to Tejasvi while she annoyed said, “Marin, don’t be such a baby.” Marin said, “I am not a baby; do you know how much I have to bend down to hug you?” “Why do you have to hug me if you are not a baby?” “I am scared. Please, mi-amore, could you hold me?” “ugh, stop being a baby.” They went back and forth like that until Ijan said, “I have a solution.” “What is it?” Marin asked, then Ijan responded, “If I poured molten moon silver in Marinus’s oculi, then he may not be frightened by these misapprehensions.” “What the hell, Ijan! Don’t do that to me.” “I will not without your consent; however, that is what I did to my oculus, and it was only extremely throbbing for approximately three days.” He said this completely serious while Marin’s eyes widened, and then he closed them, afraid Ijan would put molten sliver into them- hilarious.

So, we move on through a journey filled with feminine screams coming from Marin, a boy, darkness and scary illusions getting scarier as we got closer to the Dier-alqamar. But as we reached a point, I blacked out.

(Narration switches to Vibhuti) Meanwhile, I spent the last day chilling at the pool of the resort, spa, games room and restaurant and then the rest studying and watching my favourite shows. At about nine, Ijan called me, and we talked for a while. Then I slept at ten.

(Narration switches to Ijan) At one interval I fell into a state of syncope. However, I rose to see the Dier-alqamar. Woke the rest; thus we acquired it. Then Alhila advanced to the Nuṣb al-Qamar to reappearance it. Similar to that, we acquired all the other artefacts. We advanced to the cosmological summit and reinstated tranquillity in Migica. The aftermath of this enterprise, Vibhuti and I became each other’s significant other; however, I was incapable of loving her as she deserves it. At one interval she peered at me with her mesmerising eyes and said, “Ijan, why can’t you love me? I love you, but why can’t you do the same for me?” This made my lacrimal gland secrete its fluid.

(Narration switches to Tejasvi) Meanwhile, after we attained peace in Migica, I applied to be an Agniyoddha. I went through all the processes. Then, on the interview day, I completely blanked out. The interviewers were laughing at me; everyone was laughing at me. I was completely embarrassed. I couldn’t face anyone. I lived a life of shame.

(Narration switches to Evanthia ) Meanwhile, after we attained peace, I headed back to the palace. But as I came there, the guards closed the door. As I questioned what they were doing, one guard said, “This is an order by the queen to not let you in, for your act of treason.” I was stunned mom abandoned. As I turned around, I saw Tera. I ran to her and tried to hug her, but she pushed me away. When I asked what she was doing, she said with venom in her voice, “You are not related to me; you are nothing to me traitor.” I was heartbroken. So, I went to Ijan’s place, but he was not over there. I found out he moved to Layla to work at Quantum-tech.

(Narration switches to Marinus) Meanwhile while I arrived back at Playa at Aqua-patriae to my home, a dark figure loomed over me. Then I found out there were strings attached to my hands, and they led up to two crisscrossed wooden pieces. My mouth was covered with duct tape, and a dark figure picked me up with those crosses and controlled me like a marionet doll. She controlled my every move, who I am with and my fate. I was just a puppet. My skin got closer to my bones; I could not even recognise myself. I could not think for myself and depended on my master for everything.

(Narration switches to Alhila) Meanwhile as I headed to the Nuṣb-al-Qamar victorious from completing the mission I was given to retrieve the Dier-alqamar. As I was climbing the ranges, though, I lost the Dier-alqamar. It fell; I searched the ranges everywhere but couldn’t find it. I lost all hope and chose to freeze in the ranges rather than being boycotted by the Huraas-alqamar. As I froze in the ranges, a pink light glowed from somewhere. Then a voice from behind said, “You lost this?” I saw it was Vibhuti holding the Dier-alqamar. I reached out for it and thanked her profusely. Then she said, “You don’t need to thank me, but hurry, we need to get everyone out of their nightmare.” So, I followed her as she explained everything that we were all just in a nightmare and we need to snap out of it.

(Narration switches to Vibhuti) After some time of peaceful lucid dreaming, I got a prophecy that I must save my friends and a portal opened. I went through it and found myself at the Wahums and found the Dier-alqamar by my feet. I took it and climbed up. After sometime I found Alhila just sitting there. So, I gave the shield back to her and told her what to do. We passed through another portal and found ourselves at Playa in front of a house. We entered and we found Marin hung by strings attached to all of his limbs like a marionette doll, and his mouth was taped shut. He was shirtless but not in a good way; he looked skeletal, his arms looked like twigs and one could see his ribs. His face was thin and looked more like a skull rather than a person with flesh. His arms, chest and face were bruised. As he saw us, he waved his hand robotically and blinked in morse code as a last resort of hope, “save me and passed out.” We looked horrified. Marin looked so dull, nothing like the Aquino boy we know and love. Alhila used her daggers to cut off the strings that controlled him. He was so light that my five-foot-nine body could carry his six-foot-six body, and he felt weightless. I carried him to a table we clothed him removed the tape from his lips and took him to a nearby hospital, after sometime the doctors resuscitated him, and he told us everything about him being controlled by a dark figure like a marionette doll. Then I told him it was just a nightmare, and he looked relieved. Then the next portal appeared, and we passed through it. We were now in Agni in front of Tejasvi’s place. I entered the room to see Tejasvi with bloodshot eyes sitting in a corner of the room. As she saw me, she said, “well are you here to mock me?” “No, I am here to give you hope,” I replied. “Look I could not become an Agniyoddha so I am just worthless, so please just go.” “Tejasvi, you are many things, but worthless ain’t one of them, this is just a nightmare; you would definitely become an Agniyoddha I believe in you; trust me.” She looked up at me and smiled a genuine smile and said tha in a raspy voice and got up. We then passed through another portal and found Evanthia. She was sitting on a street bench. I went up to here and said, “hey Evanthia, what is wrong?” “Everything, but what would you know, you’re happy with Ijan.” “oh, well, I am sure someone does love you and whatever you are seeing is just a nightmare cuz I don’t know what you're saying. Come with me.” I held my hand for her, and she took it. The next portal appeared but I started to fade away. I knew I was going to wake up now, and even Tejasvi, Alhila and Evanthia are going to wake up. So, I told Marin, “Marin you’re the only one who can save Ijan; do it.” he nodded and headed into the portal.

(Narration switches to Marinus) I found myself in a high-end apartment in Layla. I saw Ijan on the floor sobbing as Vibhuti told him, “You can’t love me; I was in a loveless relationship after all.” I knelt to Ijan and said, “Mi-amigo, that is just a nightmare. Vibhuti would love you even if you can’t love her back.” “Negative, how could an individual reside by a robot?” And then he started hitting himself in the head. I held his hands and said, “Ijan you are not a robot; you are my best friend, and even if you don’t think about me the same, I love you. Please wake up.” He then stopped heaving and looked up at me and hugged me tight and said, “Let’s wake up.” And we woke up.

(Narration switches to Alhila) As we woke up, we saw the Dier-alqamar shining in the light from the Qamar-al-Mayrah. I took it and rejoiced for completing the mission I was given. Along with it, Ijan found the remainder of the moon sliver rock Bard used. We took it and quickly headed out of MAMG-1 and arrived at Ahdab. From there we retraced our fourteen-hour drive back to the hotel.
