The City Of My Dreams

THE LAND OF MIGICA AND THE REVIVAL OF PEACE

(Narrator: Vibhuti) The capital of Thanal Nadu is another futuristic city in Agni-deshah. It was part of the great Chooran Nadu, which contributed to extending the influence of Agni-deshah to the southeast. The Tanazhargal were known for their rich culture, beautiful architecture, strong navy, literature, poetry, music and dance. In modern times, Thee is famous for its infrastructure, pop culture and film industry (oh Thollywood you rock), chess (I am not very good : ( |), trade, technology and further education.

This is why I love thee. So, we had to go there. However, I never knew we would make an animal friend over there. You know the thing about animals: they are not that dumb. Many animals are extremely smart, and we don’t even know what they know. And they are so helpful. Some animals act as therapeutic pets that help people physically, mentally and socially. And this is why whatever happened today happened for a reason.

This morning, we got into the SUV and headed to Thee. The drive was long on the skyway. Everyone other than Ijan was fast asleep. I woke up by ten to see everyone was awake and in conversation. Ijan was the first to notice I was awake, cuz well I was sitting next to him in the front, though his expression seemed to be uncertain, for some random reason.

When I woke, I found out that we were now in Kiḍi in Analataka (Karnataka). We were now officially in southern-Agni-deshah whit the script changing from something I could comprehend to something which confused me. Not hurt cultural sentiments, but all south-Angniya languages, how would Patti put it, yeah look like jalebies (jalebies are Angniya sweets which are slightly in shape). I never tried to learn the Thanal for it to look somewhat like jalebies.

Passed through Analataka to get into Thanal-Nadu. As we were on our way I got a voice message from Patti, “Kutti please be careful and carry your weapons at all times for it has been an asura spotting near Thee and Neruppuria so you must stay safe, use the bow in our Thee property our family bow it would be in your room, also when climbing Neruppuppori be careful for usually asuras are attracted to place of powerful magic you must save the….” The message stopped. I wondered what she wanted me to save. The temple, the idol, the people? As wondered, we entered the state through Veppamgiri by eight at night. We took a break just us in our car. We ate some snacks; Ijan packed some sandwiches, chips and our respective favourite flavour of milkshake. Marin just drank his blueberry milkshake, and that was it. Then we moved on. By one a.m. we reached our destination, Thee. We arrived at my family property over there, ugh, another house which is not a home. I headed to my room and opened the closet; it had a false back. I pressed a button, and it slid open, revealing an ancient Angniya bow and a quiver filled with arrows, and below it a chest filled with arrows and attached to it was a contact no. for buying more arrows.

The next morning, we had our usual breakfast, heavenly pancakes, and headed out to my fave city. We started at the Aquaworld aquarium. I placed my bow and quiver and chest full of arrows in the trunk of the car, and the others followed, placing their artefacts alongside mine. Then we headed off to the aquarium. We had fun over there admiring the fish at different ocean levels. The park is divided into different ocean levels, with tanks having a covered glass shaft through which we could enter and feel as if we were actually in with the fish. The lighting of the levels also changed with the change in water level. The upper few levels had bright, vibrant lighting, while as we went deeper, the area became darker, and they used a blue light to make us feel we were in an ocean. At the end of the experience, we passed through a glass tunnel which went through a large ocean set up which had sharks, stingrays, and other deep-sea creatures. Marin pressed his face against the glass, deep in conversation with a shark in sharkish.

When we exited the tunnel, there was an escalator leading to the exit into the aquarium food court. There was pizza, fries, sandwiches, ice cream, regional foods, etc. I had some corn pizza with fries and some chocolate ice cream, while Ijan only had some corn pizza. Marin sipped at a blueberry milkshake while Tejasvi inhaled her burger, fries and strawberry milkshake, and Evanthia just enjoyed her sandwich and soda in peace.

After lunch at the aquarium, we left for the Veppamur zoo. We reached there by one in the afternoon. We took our artifacts covered with Ijan’s illusion powder with us, for the sightings were more prominent over here; however, people still came cuz the jungle safari line was endless, and we got into our bus only at two which we passed by the one our of waiting by playing I Spy with my little eye and Magica (the magic equivalent of Atlas). The jungle safari was cool; we saw a few lions, elephants, deer and peacocks. After that we explored the zoo. We rented some cycles, which were five hundred paise(rupee) per cycle. We then cycled on into the zoo. There were so many attractions: magnificent elephants, parrots, peacocks, pythons and in the end wild cats, lions, tigers, etc. At one point we met a friendly deer and fed it some leaves, and the deer’s adorableness seemed to melt even Ijan's heart, and he took a photo with it. Has we were taking photos with the deer (who was also posing btw), we heard a loud rumbling sound. The suddenly crakes formed on the ground, and out of them popped several asuras, which looked like the want wreak havoc in this place. Some of them even entered the animal’s cages. Evanthia was enraged by this. “No one are going to hurt these animals”, and then she took out the Louloúdi and chanted, “Prostateftikó-fytón” Her eyes turned green; she held up the flower, and glowing green vines arced around her hands and went in multiple directions into the animal cages protecting them with plain shields. We then moved Ijan used a spell, chanting, “Ahjib-alruwyat-tmamaan” which blinded everyone to what was going on. Then Tejasvi and Marin got into action. I shot arrows at the asuras while Tejasvi slashed them left, right and center with her Jwaltalavaara. Marin used his magic to take the water from the artificial lake and drown the asuras in them, then purified its waters when they died. We were mid fight when one of the asuras was about to attack the deer but Ijan shot the asura point blank in the head. Many more charged at the deer, and Ijan stood in front of her and shot all those who dare even look at her. After half an hour of shooting arrows/bullets, slashing swords and using the hydrological cycle as a weapon, we killed every single asura in the area. Ijan an Evanthia relived their spells and the people went on with their lives. As we were done fighting, the deer liked Ijan’s leg in gratitude. Ijan stared into its dark innocent eyes and just broke down. He hugged the deer as it licked his face. He did not care if that made, him feel uncomfortable; he loved that deer. But we had to leave the park, so the goodbye between Ijan and the deer was the most heartbreaking scene I have ever seen.

At the end of the day, we just chilled at the Marina Beach, which reminded Marin of his sister. Marin and Ijan played volleyball while I and Tejasvi hit the food stalls and Evanthia sat at the shores dipping her feet into the water. It was a perfect end to a perfect day.

When we returned back to the property, Ijan opened the trunk to see the baby deer was in it. he was ecstatic. He had a pet but he had to name it.
