(Narrator: Ijan) We are now currently in a region of reduced concentration of foliage in these woodlands. I am now at ease; I am now aware of time, and I can perceive the enchantment of the moon. In addition to that, I felt heroic on me victoriously vanquishing the beast below. Thus, I held, “Evanthia, are you ecstatic? I just vanquished a beast twofold of my proportions.” However, instead of praise, I got, “Ijan, I am not happy; I am disgusted by you. How could you kill that poor innocent creature? It was just trying to defend itself, and you killed it.” “However, it was a beast devoid of a soul.” “You are devoid of a soul; you are an emotionless person who does not deserve a friend. You don’t even understand that I don’t understand half the things you say. You are the most self-centred person I have met. Could you even act normal. Because of your foolishness, we got into this mess; we did not even need to defeat that minotaur if it wasn’t for you. Before talking smart, first act smart, you weirdo.” I was unable to comprehend what led to her aggression. However, now I was unable to present any rebuttals on her theories, for I felt as if my larynx was possessed. I was voiceless, was unable to express. I stood there, blaspheming myself for my useless mind being deficient of the customary amount of mirror neurons that individuals customarily have.
However, then unexpectedly a vehicle piloted into the woods. From that vehicle came out three individuals, of which there was one male Aquino, who was the pilot of the vehicle and two female Angniyas, one who looked absolutely mesmerising with her extensive dark magenta pigmented tresses, her beautiful morganite irides and a tanned complexion was in the apparel of a magenta transitioning to yellow silk top with adorn with elegant embroidery and denim jeans and a cravat bout her neck. Her looks initiated some chemical reaction in my encephalon (brain) which I never knew were possible. The other was petite, with cropped, burgundy tresses, ruby irises, and a pale complexion.
They advanced towards us. The Aquino out of the three, held, “Ahola mi-amigos, we are here to join you on your quest for peace.” I was at first sceptical of the newcomers; however, they appeared to be amicable and would pose no harm to us. As customary Evanthia gave an earnest welcome, while I stood there speechless.
(narration switches to Vibhuti) So, let me brief you on what happened before this. So, we used an underground road I knew was built to first enter Balad-alqamar. Then we proceeded over ground in under an illusion I created. Then we passed through cold high altitudes, then hot-dry deserts and big high-tech cities, then through the woodlands near Kamer. Then, through Kamer, we entered Chóra-fýs through the less dense part of the Empódian forest. And now here we are in the Empódian forest meeting our allies (eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee (in a fangirl voice)). One of them was a female Fýsik potionist who introduced herself as Evanthia. The other one was quiet; he appeared to me a Qamari illusionist, and he was hot. His long, straight lilac covering half of his face, his serious dark amethyst eyes which seemed focused on me, his pale complexion, ohhh he just looks so dreamy. Ok, out of la-la land, I found out his name was Ijan from Evanthia.
We briefed each other on our quest, and we found out that they had found the first artefact, the Louloúdi, an were headed to find the next, which Evanthia did not know about. I had a feeling Ijan knew about the second artifact but he did not say anything. He just simply sat in the driver’s seat at the jeep. When Marinus went up to him and asked what he was doing, Ijan, without saying a word, showed him his actual, legitimate driver’s license, which is legitimate all over Migica, which none of us had, so we couldn’t argue. I called shotgun partly because I love sitting front and partly cuz I want to solve the mystery of Ijan. So, when we hit the, um, I don’t know what to call road cuz there is no road, I would have asked a billion questions to Ijan but I did not get a single answer. At one point Tejasvi commented, “Vibhuti slow down on the questions; you are distracting the poor guy.” Then Evanthia said, “Anyway, he won’t respond as he does this a lot after I get mad at him, the silent treatment, and besides, if we're to say something you won’t understand it, as he speaks in this weird formal way.” This made Ijan clench his jaw. When I asked for context, she narrated a whole story about something related to her screaming in his ear, him punching her, then him getting freaked out by the end of a shining trail, then they getting lost in a Labyrinth, and him killing an innocent animal defending itself. When I asked which animal she said it was the Minotaur; that is not an animal, it is a monster. Hearing her story I said, “well if you scream into someone’s ear they may have to defend themselves, and about the Lux soil path, I think he just got freecked out, I meant I feel afraid in this part of the woods, think about the deeper parts, just thinking about it makes me scared, plus may be the morning alarm would have also made him disoriented.” To this, everyone laughed, excluding Evanthia; even Ijan gave a slight smile.

As we were laughing, suddenly we heard a low grumble. As we looked up, we saw it came from a freecking Terrestrial giant. “This giant is the first level of security.” Said Marin “When we were coming, we saw it was sleeping; I guess we woke it up- sorry.” Ijan stopped the car and looked at it carefully. As he did so, the giant picked up a rock and hurled it at us. I took Ijan’s hand and pulled him to the ground as the other vacated the car. We ran as fast as we could from there, but I knew for a fact that, our car was completely totalled by the rock. I guess I need to explain something to the rental company; ugh, that’s going to be the last of my pocket money, I guess.
We ran, and ran fast. We would have run for at least an hour. The giant was actually fast, like really fast. As we ran, we all tried our best to kill, well, at least, me, Tejasvi, Ijan, and partly Marin Evanthia just ran and told us not to hurt it. What the hell does she expect from us, to pet it? But we just ignored her. Ijan gave me some matches, which I used to burn it in huge flames, while Ijan shot it with bullets, Tejasvi tried to slash it with her sword, and Marin tried to contain it with ice. But the fire did nothing; Ijan’s bullets did not even leave a dent; Tejasvi’s sword broke, to which she reacted, “shit my only sword broke,” and it broke from Marin’s ice. So, we just ran, ran trying to evade it, but it stuck to our backs. “this thing is invincible; even it does not react to exfoliation.” Marin said, to which Tejasvi responded, “No, nothing is invincible; everything has its weakness. We just need to find it.” Right then, Ijan looked like he just got an idea. He pulled me aside. Why me of all people? The then looked at me with that serious eye, which now looked tired and desperate. He then signed with his hands, “Do you comprehend what I am stating?” So, I responded, “Yes.” This made him look surprised; then he signed, “Did you acknowledge the reaction of the giant to the appearance of the moon in the firmament from the cumulus?” I shook my head cuz I did not observe that, then he continued, “It took shelter under a tree; thus, I suppose the Achilles’ heel of this gigantic beast is light.” I was impressed he was extremely observant; this make feel attracted to him for some reason. So, I asked, “so what do you propose?” Then he gave a slight grin, “Suggest this plot; you’d divert the attention of the beast, while I ambush it from its posterior, with illumination.” I looked at some fallen branches and said, “consider it done. But.” I asked, “I have a question; would you please not take offence?” Gave me his affirmation, so I asked, “are you mute?” To this he gave a slight chuckle and signed, “I am not voiceless; I do converse with my larynx; however, ver in certain situations I go voiceless. You have laid no offence; in fact you are the first person to question me.” I smiled and blushed. Then I said, “I’ll go distract the beast.” He nodded, unhooking his lunar staff from his back. I took the fallen branches, where some where taller than me. I listed one impressed by my strength, then looked at the giant and said, “Hello, rock face, take this.” And hurled the branch at the beast. I took the branches, bundled them up in a rope, and shouldered them. But the giant reacted, hurling a rock at me, but I escaped. I ran, throwing the branches at it like spears, being the perfect distraction I am. As I threw my last spear at it, Ijan came from behind and cast a reflection spell, chanting, “Taekis-aldaw'”, reflecting the moonlight on the staff onto the beast at a higher intensity. The giant burned into dust under the light. I was amazed; this was the first time I heard a Qamariyyah spell. I had only thought of Chandi ones.
I went up to him and said, “You've got to teach me that spell.” He nodded his head. Marin also seemed to be impressed. “Mi amigo, that is a muy impressive spell.” Ijan looked stunned for a second and signed, “You consider me as your amigo, as in friend.” “Yes, Ijan, you are my amigo.” He said amicably, “We all do” I added a shimmer in my eyes. He gave a slight smile, then said, “Thank you; however, we must head back to our vehicle.” “ I don’t think it is even usable.” But he insisted, so we retraced our steps.
To our complete amazement, the SUV was unharmed. Ijan took the driver's seat, and I took the front seat; the rest sat behind. He then turned on sky mode, and we took off into the air.
