Jenny looked toward Nicholas in surprise and said to him: "What?"

After everyone finished eating Joseph told them they had to sleep so they would have enough energy to get out of the forest in the morning.

Jesse placed his shirt on the ground and Joseph did the same thing but he gave Jenny a cover and asked her to sleep away from them in that area.
Everyone went to sleep. Leaving Nicholas and Ethan sitting in front of a lit fire with silence surrounding them everywhere waiting for their guard time to end.
Ethan looks toward the burning flames with curiosity and admiration.
While Nicholas's feeling of discomfort continued as he looked out of the corner of his eye toward those eyes hanging in the darkness.
He tried to ignore them but he kept feeling discomfort and tension.
He directed his gazes toward Ethan and said to him quietly: "Boy how can you be comfortable while those eyes are looking toward you."
Ethan turned toward him then changed his gaze toward the eyes hanging in the darkness with curiosity.
The eyes began slowly looking toward Ethan exchanging their gazes with each other.
Nicholas remained watching in silence with the worry rooted on his features.
He put his hand on his eyes and began speaking inside himself: "Man it's supposed that staying with another person would help me reduce the tension but he only increases my discomfort."
Nicholas removed his hands from his eyes returning his gazes to the eyes.
He opened his eyes wide from the shock and fear of what he saw, dozens of eyes lighting up in the darknesses of the cave, watching them in terrifying silence.
Nicholas's heartbeats rose slowly and he told the boy to stop staring at them. So Ethan and Nicholas changed their gazes toward the burning fire once again.
Nicholas slowly swallowed his saliva while feelings of worry and discomfort permeated inside him.
