The boy opened his eyes to see himself in a dark place with the mixed voices of people echoing around. He was tied up, unable to move a finger.
He began looking around; he didn't know where he was but he felt that this place was somewhat familiar, and after a period of time a mysterious person appeared in front of him without prior warning.
He was completely white from the top of his head to the bottom of his feet, as clear as the moon in that pitch-black darkness, watching the boy in eerie silence.
The boy glanced at him with looks of surprise and tried to scrutinize his face more carefully…
only to realize afterward that his face was completely white, devoid of any kind of details or features.
He didn't utter a single word or try to communicate with the boy in any way.
He just…. watched.
After some time passed, a familiar voice began echoing in his ears.
It wasn't clear at first but it began becoming clearer and clearer, and with every second that passed the strange man continued fading until he disappeared completely.
The boy opened his eyes to find Jesse above his head, calling him to get up.
"Wake up quickly, boy! I think they've moved away from the car."
The two went out of the house and headed toward the place where they had left the car last time.
The moment they arrived they found that the surroundings around the car were empty of any threat, except for a few Wanderers a few meters away from them.
And without a shred of hesitation Jesse ran toward the car while the boy followed behind him.
Immediately after that he started it and sped off as fast as he could out of this area.
The Wanderers near him tried to catch up to him, but it was already too late for them.
Jesse moved his eyes toward the boy beside him, addressing him, "Hey! There's a gun in the back seat, bring it to me if you want."
The latter remained silent for a moment then turned to the back seat and began searching in it.
After several minutes passed, he found the gun under one of the seats.
It was a gun a little larger than usual, silver in color with a grip made of soft leather from an unknown creature, and at its muzzle a silencer.
With the phrase "William Thornfield" engraved on the gun.
He returned to his place and gave the gun to Jesse, who placed it in front of him and continued driving.
Suddenly the latter spotted the same creature they had seen in the store coming out of one of the buildings, but this time it had spotted them from afar and began rushing toward them like crazy.
And without wasting a single second, he put his fist on the gear shift, switching it in an instant to reverse R (Reverse).
He pressed the gas pedal with all his strength, so the car shot backward violently, while the steering wheel spun like crazy.
He quickly shifted the gear to forward, changing the car's direction to the opposite side of the entity.
The wheels spun wildly for fractions of seconds before launching forward, moving away from the place, leaving a black mark on the ground.
Jesse grabbed the gun then aimed it at the monster.
Fire!!!
He pulled the trigger so a bullet exploded from the muzzle of his gun.
Immediately exploding the Stranger's stomach, creating a huge gap in the right side of its belly.
A slight smile appeared on Jesse's face thinking this would kill it, but the expressions of joy faded the moment he noticed that the blood in its wound hardened in an instant, closing its wound in a few moments.
The latter increased the car's speed, making him gradually move away from the monster.
But the Stranger wasn't ready to leave them alone.
With a strange movement, it pressed on its fingers with its right hand violently and forcefully until they exploded and a fountain of blood burst from them that hardened to become like a crimson crystal.
It immediately pressed on them until they broke into small sharp pieces.
And with a fleeting glance toward their car it raised its hand in the air and launched them with all the strength it possessed.
So the crimson shards flew through the air like rockets.
Meanwhile Jesse looked in the mirrors, so his smile shattered and his eyes exploded from terror and shock.
He screamed trying to warn the boy, "Duck!"
The shards slammed into the car; some of them reached the wheels and exploded them.
While others pierced the car's glass, exploding the glass from it.
And the last part of them reached Jesse and the boy, wounding their bodies with superficial cuts.
As a result of the wheels exploding and the shock of the attack Jesse slammed on the brakes violently. But the car began to skid until it crashed into one of the buildings.
Jesse's head slammed into the steering wheel so blood leaked from his forehead; he put his hand on his head with trembling hands so his eyes fell on his blood.
His features intensified from the pain, but he gathered himself and got out of the car before the entity reached them.
He advanced to the trunk of the car and brought the first-aid kit.
He took out some bandages and a small bottle filled with a disinfectant substance.
He opened the bottle and poured the disinfectant on all his wounds, then immediately wrapped the bandages around his head.
He threw the bottle and the remaining bandages into the car's trunk, then put his hand back inside extracting a shield made of metal road signs welded together in a semi-rectangular shape with a front filled with pointed nails.
Finally he filled his gun with ammunition and put the rest of it in his pocket.
He turned toward the Stranger who was slowing its speed the closer it got to him.
He aimed his gun at it lightly, firing 4 bullets in only two seconds.
The Stranger tried to avoid the bullets, but one of them completely exploded its hand while the rest failed to reach it.
So its hand began bleeding and hardening, forming a sharp weapon resembling a sword.
And with lightness and strength it raised its hand in the air directing a lightning-fast punch at him that launched him into the air.
The monster felt something strange in its hand. To find dozens of gaps and nails piercing its arm.
Jesse rose from the ground with difficulty, with expressions of seriousness and pain dominating his face.
He directed his eyes toward the shield to find it deformed from the Stranger's blow, so he whispered to himself, "I would have been dead if it weren't for this shield."
He stood on his feet and aimed his gun at the enemy, his eyes all seriousness and caution.
At the same time the Stranger ripped the nails from its arm and an angry roar flowed from its throat…
