Human beings are truly innocent creatures.
They naively believe that everything visible to their naked eyes in this vast cosmos is the absolute truth.
Little do they know that beyond the veil of the endless abyss lie horrors beyond imagination.
Yet whenever the overwhelming darkness of destruction threatens to consume the entire cosmos, a radiant light is born—a light destined to eradicate that darkness from its very roots.
This is the beginning of The Primordial Void Cosmos.
Inside the Grand Azure Continent’s largest and most formidable Sword Sect, a heavy silence filled the Sect Master’s Hall.
The Sect Master, Sovereign Han Ji Shen, watched his old and loyal butler, Han Fu, rush toward him.
Panic was clearly written across the old man’s face.
“Sect Master! The Demons have launched another assault on the Spear Sect! Are… are you really going to save them?” Han Fu gasped, struggling to catch his breath.
Han Ji Shen slowly closed his eyes before replying in a calm yet resolute voice, “Yes. I am going.”
Han Fu’s heart sank.
Gathering his courage, he said, “But, Master! During the last great war against the Demons, every major sect on this continent hid behind their gates! It was because of their cowardice that our Young Master was killed… Are you truly going to rescue those ungrateful cowards again?!”
Han Ji Shen slowly turned around.
His eyes carried a chilling coldness capable of striking fear into anyone’s heart.
“I know, Han Fu,” Ji Shen replied in a low, icy voice.
“I know that when my sect needs their help again, they will hide behind their gates once more. But I am not going for the sake of those cowards. I am going for the common people who still cling to a single thread of hope. the hope that whenever the demonic calamity descends, a madman will rise. A madman willing to become an even greater Demon just to slaughter those Demons!”
“But, Master…” Han Fu tried to speak.
“I have spoken!”
Han Ji Shen’s thunderous roar shook the entire hall.
Han Fu instantly lowered his head and fell silent.
A heavy stillness enveloped the room before Han Ji Shen let out a weary sigh.
“Forgive me, Han Fu… if my words were too harsh.”
Han Fu slowly raised his head, tears welling up in his eyes.
“No, Master. You said nothing wrong. I was only… worried about the little Young Miss. She is still so young. If anything happens to you… who will take care of her?”
A sorrowful smile appeared on Han Ji Shen’s face.
“You are right. I am her father… but before that, I was Han Lu’s father.”
He slowly clenched his fists.
“Han Fu… do you know why I continue to fight even at this age?”
Without waiting for an answer, he continued.
“Because when Han Lu drew his final breath in my arms, he looked at me and said, ‘Father you do not look good when you cry. I learned everything from you, and as the son of a Sovereign, it is my destiny to die protecting this continent. But Father… promise me one thing. Never allow those monsters who seek to plunder our land to ever set foot on this continent again.'”
Han Ji Shen lowered his head.
“And with those words. my son peacefully closed his eyes in my arms.”
His voice trembled.
“My son is gone, Han Fu yet his final wish still echoes in my ears every single day.”
Han Ji Shen suddenly threw his head toward the heavens and unleashed a devastating roar!
The sheer force of his voice did not merely shake the Grand Azure Continent—the entire universe trembled.
The grief of a father was so profound that even the stars across the endless sky seemed to crack beneath his sorrow.
Ji Shen’s voice still quivered with pain.
“My son is gone, Han Fu His only regret was that he could not master my Thirty-Six Forms of Sword Art…”
For seven hundred years, a Sovereign had stood alone as the final wall protecting the Grand Azure Continent, honoring the promise he had made to his deceased son.
To the Demons, Han Ji Shen was no longer just a Sovereign.
he was the God of Death.
Han Fu’s throat tightened with emotion.
He bowed deeply and said,
“Master forgive me. I failed to truly understand your pain. Go without worry. Even if it costs me my life, I will protect the little Young Miss!”
Han Ji Shen silently turned his gaze toward the endless ocean before slowly raising his right hand.
ZINGGGG!
In the blink of an eye, his legendary sword tore through the heavens before landing firmly in his grasp.
The speed of the blade unleashed a violent gust of wind that swept across the entire hall.
Gripping the sword tightly, Han Ji Shen declared, “I, Han Ji Shen, have always walked this path alone, slaughtering Demons. And now… I no longer care how many enemies stand before me. Whether they bring countless armies or their strongest experts… I will cut them all down.”
Meanwhile, the battlefield had already become a living hell.
Mountains of corpses littered the land while rivers of blood flowed across the shattered earth.
The air reeked of death, and every flash of Han Ji Shen’s sword claimed thousands of Demons in an instant.
Not a single Demon dared stand in his path.
Watching his army collapse, Demon King Morvath roared in fury.
“You useless trash! You can’t even kill one old man?!”
The Demon General retreated in terror, his entire body trembling.
“M-My King! He is no ordinary old man! He stands at the absolute Peak of the Sovereign Profound Realm! Killing him is impossible! We must immediately send word to Demon Emperor Diabolus! Only His Majesty possesses the power to eliminate this monster!”
Morvath’s face twisted with rage.
He seized the General by the throat and lifted him into the air.
“You fool! If we summon the Emperor over something this insignificant, he’ll kill us before Han Ji Shen ever gets the chance!”
Before Morvath could finish speaking—
ZINGGGGG!
A dazzling streak of blue sword light tore across the battlefield.
In a single flash, the Demon General’s head was cleanly severed from his body, spraying blood like a crimson fountain as his lifeless corpse crashed to the ground.
Watching the headless body collapse before him, Demon King Morvath froze.
His pupils contracted in disbelief as he slowly turned toward the source of the attack.
Standing in the distance with his sword resting casually in one hand was none other than Sovereign Han Ji Shen.
For the first time in centuries…
Fear crept into the Demon King’s heart.
“BASTARD!”
Fueled by both rage and terror, Morvath charged directly at Han Ji Shen.
BOOOOM!!
The moment Morvath’s massive blade collided with Han Ji Shen’s sword, the violent clash of their energies shattered the surrounding battlefield.
The ground split apart beneath their feet as devastating shockwaves rippled across the heavens.
Morvath unleashed one ferocious strike after another with overwhelming brute strength, while Han Ji Shen effortlessly neutralized every attack with his flawless swordsmanship.
Steel clashed against steel, and neither side retreated even a single step.
Following another earth-shattering collision, both figures were forced apart.
Morvath wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth before letting out a cold sneer.
“Hmph! Old man, you are undoubtedly the strongest opponent I have ever faced. But unfortunately for you… today, the Grand Azure Continent will lose its greatest Sovereign. You should feel honored to die by my hand.”
Han Ji Shen calmly flicked the blood from his blade before looking at Morvath with eyes devoid of the slightest emotion.
Then he laughed.
A cold, mocking laugh echoed throughout the battlefield.
“Fool! In this entire universe, the mother has yet to be born who can give birth to a Demon capable of killing Han Ji Shen. Until now, I was merely entertaining you… but since you’re so eager to die, allow me to show you what true devastation looks like.”
A brilliant blue divine aura erupted from Han Ji Shen’s body.
The heavens darkened, the oceans trembled, and even the surviving Demons felt their souls shudder beneath the overwhelming pressure.
Han Ji Shen gripped his sword with both hands and slowly raised it toward the heavens.
“Thirty-Six Forms of Sword Art…”
“Tenth Form…”
“COSMIC SPLIT!”
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
Han Ji Shen brought his sword crashing down in a single devastating slash.
In that instant, heaven and earth seemed to lose their color as a colossal blue sword light descended from the skies.
Morvath’s eyes widened in absolute horror.
A thin crimson line slowly appeared across his body…
The next moment—
SPLIT!
Demon King Morvath was cleaved cleanly into two perfect halves.
But the attack didn’t stop there.
The sword light continued forward with unstoppable momentum, tearing through the void.
Mountains crumbled, oceans split apart, and the barren planet behind Morvath was cut cleanly into two halves.
CRACKKKKKK!!!
A deafening explosion echoed throughout the starry sky as the shattered planet drifted apart.
Every surviving Demon stood frozen in absolute terror.
However, after unleashing such a catastrophic technique, Han Ji Shen’s body trembled violently.
At seven hundred years of age, even a Sovereign had limits.
The terrifying backlash surged through his meridians, causing his aura to become unstable.
Before the surviving Demons could recover from their shock, the space before Han Ji Shen suddenly twisted.
A mysterious Spatial Portal slowly emerged.
Han Ji Shen looked at it and smiled.
A fearless smile.
Without the slightest hesitation, he sheathed his sword onto his back and stepped into the portal…
As though he were simply taking a leisurely stroll.
