Savannah’s POV

The car door opened and I stepped out.

My bodycon dress hugged my figure as I adjusted the sunglasses resting over my eyes.Full novel: The Mafia’s Final Possession; Love and Kill — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The wind brushed against my face and swept my long hair behind my shoulders.

I slowly lifted my gaze.

A massive building stood before me, guarded like a fortress.

Tall pillars stretched toward the sky.

Armed men stood near the entrance, their eyes scanning every movement around the property.

The name behind those walls was enough to make powerful people think twice before stepping inside.

La Cosa Nostra.

A faint smirk touched my lips.

“Hmm… La Cosa Nostra?” I muttered to myself before walking toward the entrance.

The guards immediately noticed me.

One of them stepped forward and blocked my path.

“Off limits, miss.”

I stopped.

For a moment, I simply stared at him through my sunglasses.

Then I smiled.

A small, amused smile.

I slowly removed my sunglasses.

“Let me meet my dad,” I said calmly.

“He’s inside.”

The guards exchanged looks.

Neither of them moved and neither of them answered.

Silence.

A suppressed chuckle escaped my lips.

I turned away as if I had accepted their decision.

One step after another.

Then I spun around.

My heel slammed into the tallest guard’s side as he immediately staggered backward with a grunt.

At the same time, the two Comare behind me moved swiftly.

The woman on my left stepped behind another guard and struck the back of his neck with one precise blow.

The guard collapsed.

The other Comare grabbed the second man’s arm, twisted him off balance, and drove her elbow into him before knocking him unconscious with a sharp strike.

Everything happened within seconds.

The woman on my left looked down at the unconscious guards.

“They’re huge,” she muttered.

“But they don’t use their brains.”

The Comare on my right snorted.

“Well, duh. They don’t have brains, sister. Not even basic survival instincts.”

I sighed.

“Try not to insult unconscious people.”

“Why?” she asked innocently.

I glanced at the guards.

“They can’t hear us.”

She grinned.

“Exactly.”

The three of us quickly dragged the unconscious guards toward a corner hidden from the main entrance.

Once they were out of sight, I stepped between the two women and rested my arms over their shoulders.

“Once I enter the room, access their security system,” I said quietly.

Both of them nodded.

“Copy, Aiyannah.”

They immediately headed toward the white van waiting nearby.

I watched them disappear inside before turning toward the entrance.

Now came the interesting part.

I walked through the doors.

The moment I entered, the atmosphere changed.

Conversations stopped.

Heads turned.

The room was filled with powerful men along with the bosses, soldiers and special members of different alliances.

They were sitting near the far end of the room—

The man I had come to see.

My gaze landed on him.

He was the Godfather of La Cosa Nostra.

The well renowned Matthiuos Sartori.

His eyes narrowed as they scanned my face.

I stood still.

Wearing a cold, calculated as a cigarette rested between my fingers.

I brought it to my lips and took a slow drag.

Smoke slipped into the air between us.

We’ve finally met.

A man suddenly approached me from the side.

His hand reached toward my arm.

Before his filthy fingers could touch me I moved.

I spun around him, caught his arm, and yanked him sideways.

His body lost balance as he stumbled forward and crashed directly into another boss’s table.

Glasses rattled.

Chairs scraped against the floor and the silent room erupted into murmurs.

Several soldiers immediately raised their guns.

I didn’t even flinch instead I slowly turned toward them.

“Can’t you guys welcome a guest properly?”

My voice echoed through the tense silence.

Another group of guards started approaching me.

I tilted my head.

“What’s with all this fuss?”

My eyes shifted toward the Godfather.

Matthiuos stared at me with an expression colder than stone.

And suddenly, I understood something.

Now I understood why Aiyannah had chosen to fight against her own father.

He doesn’t deserve to be called a father.

He’s destruction.

A calamity disguised as a man powerful enough to unite every asshole in this room.

“Father,” I called.

My eyes remained fixed on him.

“Why don’t you introduce me instead?” I added.

One of the guards stepped closer.

“Women aren’t allowed here—”

“Let her be.” Matthiuos’s voice cut through the room.

Everything went silent.

The guard immediately stepped back.

The Godfather leaned slightly against his chair.

His gaze settled on me.

“She is my stubborn daughter.” His words hung heavily in the room.

Then he said jer daughters name.

“Aiyannah.” My fingers tightened slightly around the cigarette.

“Aiyannah Sartori.”

Every pair of eyes remained on me.

But I only looked at him.

Matthiuos Sartori.

My so-called father.

His expression remained cold and unfaced.

Not a single sign of warmth appeared in his eyes.

He looked at me like I was another problem he needed to deal with.

“What are you doing here?”

His voice was distant.

I took another drag from my cigarette.

“Curiosity kills me, Dad.”

Smoke slipped slowly from my lips.

I looked around the room.

Then my gaze stopped.

A serious pair of eyes was already watching me.

The moment our gazes met, something sharp passed between us.

The man I haven’t seen for a long time Keegan Ciffarelli.

I didn’t look away.

Instead, I continued scanning the whole room, evaluating every corner of their international organization that evey Mafia gathered for business and alliance.

“Can’t I be a Doña here?”

“You can be my Suprema if you marry me, Bella.” I turned my head.

It was the boss sitting on my right leaned back in his chair with a grin.

Then he winked.

My expression didn’t change.

I simply raised my middle finger at him.

“I’m not someone’s aspiring wife.”

His grin disappeared.

A few of the men around him suppressed their laughter.

I dropped my hand and faced the room.

“I do what you do.” My voice remained calm.

“But don’t mistake me for an ignorant, weak daughter hiding behind her father’s name.”

The boss’s face hardened.

Humiliation flashed across his expression.

Then I turned toward Matthiuos again.

One of the older bosses scoffed.

His posture remained composed, carrying the confidence of someone who had spent years surviving in this world.

“I thought you didn’t have any children, Matthiuos?” A sarcastic laugh escaped my lips.

“Is that so, Father?” I slowly turned toward him.

“Well… maybe my father was just protecting me from the bosses who might target his authority.”

My gaze remained on him.

I didn’t know what to believe anymore and I never had the chance to meet my father.

Yet there was a letter.

A letter that turned my identity into a puzzle.

But my mother had told me he was dead.

And acting as if his own daughter was nothing more than an inconvenience.

“Enough, Yannah.”

His authoritative voice filled the room.

My jaw tightened.

“Go to my main office.”

He paused.

“Or go home.” His eyes hardened.

A bitter thought crossed my mind.

Doesn’t he see anything?

Any trace of his daughter in me?

She had been born to a father who didn’t even seem capable of loving his own child.

“Tsk.” I flicked the cigarette away.

“Fine.”

I gave him a cold smile.

“Maybe you really haven’t changed a bit, Father.”

Then I turned my back on him.

My heels struck the floor as I walked toward the massive double doors.

Clank.

Clank.

Clank.

Before leaving completely, I looked over my shoulder.

Keegan was still watching me.

Studying me.

His expression gave nothing away.

But his eyes,They were searching for something.

A faint smirk appeared on my lips.

Then I walked out.

The moment the doors closed behind me, murmurs erupted inside.

Matthiuos might be dead mad right now.

Good.

Let’s see where this ends.

I headed toward a corner where the CCTV couldn’t reach.

The white van was already waiting.

I quickly slipped inside.

The Comare behind the wheel immediately started the engine.

“You met him?” the Siren asked.

She sat beside me.

I leaned back against the seat.

“Yes.”

I took a breath.

“He’s more ridiculous than I expected.” The girls burst into laughter.

One of them handed me a pair of headphones connected to the laptop.

The screen displayed multiple security cameras.

They had successfully accessed the La Cosa Nostra’s surveillance system.

I placed the headphones over my ears.

The voices from inside the meeting room immediately filled my ears.

My eyes focused on the screen.

Keegan was speaking.

“The massacre was carried out by a woman.”

My brows slowly creased.

“She’s not an ordinary made woman from another boss’s hierarchy.”

One of the bosses slammed his hand against the table.

“What are you concluding, Mr. Ciffarelli?” His face twisted with irritation.

“That we’re being outsmarted by a woman?”

He scoffed.

“Ridiculous.”

A slow smile curled across my lips.

Oh?

I removed the headphones and handed them back to the Siren.

Interesting.

Very interesting.

“Madame.”

The Comare behind the wheel tightened her grip on the steering wheel.

“The third Doña wishes to discuss something important with you at her rest house. Do you wish to proceed?”

I stared ahead.

The third Doña?

If she wanted to meet me personally, it wasn’t something I should ignore.

“Go ahead.” I rested my head against the seat.

“This might be important.”

The engine started.

But before the van could move someone spoke “Pardon—”

The Siren suddenly looked down at her phone.

Her expression changed.

I opened my eyes.

“What?”

She quickly handed me the phone.

“Sir Matthiuos wants to see you.”

A message from the Godfather appeared on the screen.

For a moment, I stared at it.

Then a soft chuckle escaped from my lips.

Then I slowly turned toward the woman beside me.

“Sure.”

I handed the phone back.

My gaze returned to the road ahead.

It seemed Matthiuos Sartori wasn’t done with his stubborn daughter yet.

And neither was I.

Will this be another declaration of war?
