Chapter 16: Fight Scene!

the magical girls of war: Obsessive Tendencies

Everyone immediately got ready to fight.

They had absolutely no idea why.

But they were doing it anyway.

Pink blinked.

"Wait."

She looked at her empty hands.

"Why don't I have a weapon?!"

Everyone looked at her.

The Maniac looked curious.

Stoic samurai girl looked concerned.

Grey looked exhausted.

Smiling Girl...

Smiling Girl looked terrified.

Because if Pink somehow summoned the Kaiju Death Hammer of Pink Judgment again, the auditorium was probably not surviving it.

A werewolf apparently had the same idea.

It lunged at Pink.

She was short.

Pink.

Unarmed.

Easy prey.

Or so it thought.

Pink caught both its wrists.

The werewolf's eyes widened.

"...Huh?"

With absolutely zero effort, Pink flipped the seven-foot beast upside down.

The werewolf let out a confused, terrified yelp as it sailed through the air.

The other werewolves froze.

Several slowly looked at each other.

Pink stepped forward.

A dangerous smile spread across her face.

"Are you..."

A faint pink aura flickered around her.

"...trying to hurt my Alice?"

She paused.

Blinking.

"I mean..."

Her face went red.

"Alices?!"

The werewolves collectively decided they hated whatever this conversation was.

Pigeon Chad cooed.

He seemed supportive.

Nobody knew why.

The fight exploded.

The Maniac laughed hysterically as she threw bombs into the incoming horde.

"There are SO MANY!"

BOOM!

"This is terrible!"

BOOM!

"I'M HAVING THE TIME OF MY LIFE!"

Another explosion launched three werewolves through a wall.

Grey Girl had somehow climbed onto the remaining basketball hoop.

She was reclining on it like a Greek philosopher.

One arm supporting her head.

The other lazily firing bolts of lightning.

Zap.

A werewolf exploded.

Grey yawned.

Pigeon Chad yawned too.

Nobody questioned it.

Smiling Girl had abandoned conventional physics entirely.

Her arms stretched across half the gym.

She flattened werewolf toes.

Punched people around corners.

One particularly brave werewolf tried sneaking behind her.

Smiling Girl didn't even turn around.

Another smiling face suddenly appeared on the back of her head.

Two extra arms sprouted.

A giant cartoon hammer materialized.

SMASH!!

The werewolf became a furry pancake.

The rest of the pack collectively reconsidered their career choices.

Stoic samurai girl moved like she was playing a rhythm game only she could hear.

Step.

Slash.

Pivot.

Strike.

Every movement was perfect.

Every cut deliberate.

The werewolves didn't even realize they'd been defeated until they fell apart into harmless magical smoke.

Meanwhile...

Pink had acquired an unconscious werewolf.

Nobody knew how.

She was holding him under one arm and spinning happily.

Practicing dance moves.

"When I find Alice," she declared proudly, "I'll dance with her!"

The unconscious werewolf smacked three of his friends as Pink twirled.

"They'll be so proud!"

WHACK!

"Wait..."

Pink blinked.

"They?"

She gasped.

"ALICE!"

"I LOVE YOU!"

Across the gym, Smiling Girl physically flinched.

A werewolf took the opportunity.

POW!

Right in the stomach.

"Gaaah?!"

Smiling Girl folded in half.

Flew backward.

Directly into Pink.

"WAIT NO!"

The two magical girls blasted through the auditorium wall.

CRASH!!

And disappeared into the maintenance building outside.

Silence.

Everyone stopped fighting.

The Maniac pointed at the smoking hole.

"...Should we help them?"

Grey yawned.

"Nah."

Inside the auditorium...

Miss Marcy was having the worst day of her life.

"WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME?!"

She ducked.

A werewolf punched another werewolf.

She tripped.

Three more collided and flew across the room.

She screamed.

A chair somehow launched itself into the air and knocked another monster unconscious.

"I DON'T GET PAID ENOUGH FOR THIS!"

A werewolf slipped on her tears.

Nobody understood how.

Least of all Miss Marcy.

She sobbed harder.

Which somehow made things worse.
