In Room 11108.
Lin Luxi was still waiting for an answer.
The original owner and the antagonist had only ever communicated online and had never met in person. Even though Lin Luxi knew that the scarred man was the antagonist, he pretended not to know, letting his gaze shift between the two men.
The scarred man, Zheng Jun, didn’t expect time to pass so quickly.
He was involved in underground dealings and had long wanted to go legit.
The scholarly man, Qin Tian, was the external representative of the rapidly rising CS Group in recent years. Zheng Jun had gone through great lengths to establish this connection and couldn’t afford to have such a golden opportunity ruined by Lin Luxi.
Zheng Jun instructed his bodyguards to take Lin Luxi to another room. “I still have matters to attend to. Once I’m done, I’ll call for you.”
Lin Luxi wanted to get this over with quickly, but with the scholarly man present, someone who hadn’t appeared in the original novel, it was best that as few people as possible knew about his connection to the antagonist. Given the current situation, he had no choice but to wait until their business was concluded and the other man had left before discussing things with the antagonist.
Lin Luxi followed the bodyguard out. Qin Tian, who had been silent all along, suddenly raised his wrist and tapped rapidly on his light-brain.
Zheng Jun clapped his hands. “Let’s continue. Where were we?”
Meanwhile, in Room 11109.
Zhao Fankong was a regular at Blue Dream. He took charge and ordered drinks, even calling over a few hosts and hostesses to accompany them with drinks and games.
He went through the entire routine with practiced ease.
Soon, almost everyone had a man or woman sitting beside them, drinking, laughing, and relaxing. The atmosphere was somewhat flirtatious, though perhaps due to some restraint, nothing overly inappropriate occurred.
On a spacious sofa.
A man sat there, amidst the dim lighting and the laughter of men and women, as steady as a solid rock, completely unmoved.
Even without saying a word, Yue Xinghe’s presence was so strong it was impossible to ignore.
He was exceptionally handsome, with a high-bridged nose and deep-set eyes. Even a casual glance from him was captivating.
Beyond his striking appearance, his physique was equally impressive.
Standing at 1.9 meters, his body proportions were nearly that of the golden ratio, absolutely perfect.
His legs were long and straight, elegantly wrapped in tailored casual trousers. Through the fabric, one could vaguely make out the strong, powerful thighs beneath.
His demeanor, however, was gentle and clean, carrying a hint of distant coolness that set him apart.
It made people want to get close, to tempt him, to captivate him, to make him lose control, to see him overcome with unchecked desire. That would surely be an exhilarating sight.
Even in Blue Dream, a place that saw countless guests every day, a man of such exceptional quality was a rare find.
One of Blue Dream’s top-tier hostesses had set her sights on this unattainable pinnacle.
She had a flawless figure, ample curves, a slender waist, and sculpted hips. Her face was not bad either, with a look that was both innocent and alluring. No man could resist her.
With an innocent, pure smile, the top hostess lifted her chin confidently and walked toward the man.
Lin Yinyue had been thrilled ever since he saw Yue Xinghe. The feeling was like that of a fan meeting their idol, eager to approach yet afraid of leaving a bad impression.
His relationship with Lin Luxi wasn’t good, and since Lin Luxi was close friends with Yue Xinghe, every time Lin Yinyue saw Yue Xinghe, Lin Luxi was always by his side, leaving Lin Yinyue with no chance to say more than a few words.
Now that Lin Luxi was finally absent, Lin Yinyue didn’t want to waste this opportunity.
He downed two glasses of wine to muster his courage, then stood up abruptly to go talk to Yue Xinghe. But before he could take more than a few steps, a graceful figure brushed past him and reached Yue Xinghe first.
The music in the room was a bit loud, so Lin Yinyue couldn’t hear what was being said. He only saw Yue Xinghe, still wearing a faint smile, utter a single sentence, and the hostess’s expression instantly changed. She stiffly turned around and returned to her seat, her movements wooden.
The courage Lin Yinyue had gathered shattered in an instant.
He changed direction and casually said, “I’m going to the restroom.”
Then he opened the door and stepped out.
Leaning against the door of the private room, Lin Yinyue let out a long breath. He smacked his forehead in frustration, trying to psych himself up to talk to Yue Xinghe later. He absolutely couldn’t let this opportunity slip away.
Just then, he heard the sound of a door opening nearby. He glanced over casually, and saw a face he absolutely did not want to see.
Lin Yinyue’s expression immediately fell. “Lin Luxi, what are you doing here?”
Lin Luxi didn’t expect to run into him either. “If you can be here, why can’t I?”
Lin Yinyue, however, assumed Lin Luxi had seen Chris’s message and came specifically to find Yue Xinghe. “Are you some kind of clingy pest? Can’t you go one minute without sticking to Yue Xinghe?”
Then his gaze landed on the fierce-looking bodyguard beside Lin Luxi, and his anger flared up. “Who is he? Are you causing trouble for Yue Xinghe again?!”
Lin Luxi was about to leave after a quick greeting, but something about Lin Yinyue’s words struck him as odd.
Lin Luxi had a bad feeling about this. “What do you mean? Are you saying Yue Xinghe is here too?”
His gaze landed on private room 11109.
Lin Yinyue was taken aback by his questioning. “Didn’t you come here after seeing the message?”
What message?
Lin Luxi opened his light-brain to check his messages and finally saw the one Chris had sent.
He couldn’t help but mutter a low curse under his breath.
Lin Yinyue frowned. “Hey, why are you cursing at me for no reason?”
Lin Luxi ignored him.
He didn’t expect Yue Xinghe to be here. This caught him off guard, and for a moment, he couldn’t think of a way to handle the situation.
Lin Yinyue, however, wouldn’t let it go. “Are you causing trouble again or not?”
Lin Luxi initially wanted to brush him off, but then an idea struck him.
Without another word, he pushed Lin Yinyue by the shoulder and opened the door to room 11109. “Yeah, I came to find Yue Xinghe. It’s my first time at Blue Dream, and I don’t know my way around. I went into the wrong room.”
As he stepped inside, he discreetly waved a hand behind his back, signaling the bodyguard to leave.
Entering the private room, Lin Luxi spotted Yue Xinghe immediately.
His presence was simply too commanding.
He glanced around at the other seats and the giggling hosts around them, only the area beside Yue Xinghe was clear. Lin Luxi walked over and sat down next to him.
Lin Yinyue pouted resentfully and returned to his seat.
The top hostess who had approached Yue Xinghe earlier watched this unfold. She noticed that Yue Xinghe’s expression remained unchanged, unlike his reaction to her, he didn’t push the silver-haired young man away but silently allowed him to sit beside him.
She sneered inwardly.
So it wasn’t that no normal man could resist her; it was that this man simply wasn’t interested in women.
Restoring her confidence, the hostess tossed her hair back with a coquettish flick.
It was a bit of a pity, such an exceptional man turned out to prefer boys.
“Weren’t you guys heading back to school? What made you decide to come to Blue Dream?”
The design of this sofa was a bit strange. When one person sat on it, it felt spacious, but with two people, it became rather cramped.
Lin Luxi only realized after sitting down, shoulders and thighs pressed against Yue Xinghe’s, that the sofa was probably intentionally designed this way.
Not used to being so close to someone, he couldn’t help shifting in his seat, trying to create some distance from the male lead.
But the sofa was so soft that his movements only resulted in his thigh brushing against Yue Xinghe’s instead.
It was a little ticklish.
Yue Xinghe said, “Stay still.”
His slender fingers pressed down on Lin Luxi’s thigh. For some reason, Yue Xinghe felt a bit parched and took a sip of his drink, his voice lower than usual. “We ran into some acquaintances on the way, and the senior offered to treat us.”
Lin Luxi hummed in acknowledgment. “I just wandered around a bit earlier. I didn’t find what I wanted to buy, so I came to find you guys first.”
“What were you looking for? Maybe I know where to find it.”
Yue Xinghe’s light-brain buzzed. He glanced down to check the message.
Lin Luxi felt a little thirsty and grabbed a drink from the table.
“No need, it’s nothing essential anyway. No need to go through the trouble.”
As he spoke, he kept an eye on his light-brain, looking somewhat distracted.
His fingers tapped against his thigh, faster and faster.
Finally, ding.
Lin Luxi abruptly stood up. Seeing Yue Xinghe look up at his sudden movement, he brushed a hand against his cheek. “Uh, I’m just going to step out to the restroom.”
