Zhua woke up when he felt someone shaking his shoulder.
It was Han Luen.
“Mr. Rengui, it’s time to wake up. You should eat something.”
Zhua slowly sat up, rubbing his eyes.
“What time is it?” he asked while yawning.
Han Luen replied, “Seven in the evening. I’ve already prepared dinner.”
“You shouldn’t have. I’m old enough to cook something for myself,” Zhua said.
However, Han Luen shook her head.
“No, no. Not after everything that’s happened. You need to rest.”
Zhua didn’t particularly appreciate being treated like that, but he couldn’t argue.
Han Luen was right.
The two of them ate together before continuing their journey.
Throughout the trip, Zhua spent much of his time training.
Whenever they encountered monsters along the road, he used them to test and refine his abilities.
Because of that, he decided that once he reached the capital, he would search the libraries for every piece of information he could find regarding dragons.
Later, he would continue his research at the Awakened Academy.
Still, the journey allowed him to discover something else.
His Unique Attribute was truly powerful.
Not only were his bones, organs, blood, and flesh all made of stars, but this transformation had also granted him extraordinary physical abilities.
A blessed body, he thought.
That was the most fitting description he could think of.
The journey finally came to an end when they arrived at the capital.
As they stepped out of the caravan, Han Luen suddenly spoke.
“Mr. Rengui, I’d like to ask you something.”
“What is it?” he replied.
Han Luen looked at him for a long moment before speaking in a serious tone.
“Please… don’t fall onto the Demonic Path because of what happened to your village.”
The Righteous Path or the Demonic Path…
Why should that matter?
The only thing that matters now is becoming stronger.
I need strength if I want to discover the truth and accomplish my goals.
If that’s the case, why should I choose between those two paths?
I can simply walk both.
After a moment of silence, Zhua answered,
“Don’t worry. I won’t follow the Demonic Path.”
Technically, that was true.
He hadn’t lied.
Han Luen visibly relaxed after hearing his response.
Soon afterward, she left to rent a room at an inn.
As for Zhua, he headed directly toward the Capital Library.
He had only one goal in mind.
To search for information.
